If you wanna take a dump you gotta give a dump.

The dump doesn't fall far from the tree.
  2. I get how to follow the Earwolf link to Amazon. How do I choose a specific show as I process my order?? Does it need to be in the html line, or will an option show up as I check out? (I haven't tried it yet) Thanks, BDBO

    Pulled episodes, HDTGM

Making fun of safe target movies with safe target jokes is not going to capture my interest. I don't know HDTGM well, so I won't guess at why they're making their decisions. I'd argue that a braver show of this sort should make fun of predominantly recent movies, including successful ones. I'd also argue that ridiculing someone/behaviors being possibly on the spectrum is completely fair game, and completely different than making fun of a person with legitimate autism (which one could still joke around about, but not 'make fun of'). Ridiculing someone for being maybe weird in maybe a clinical way, where we wonder "can that person help it? because that is some weird shit" comes from the center/normal part of society, and is usually a joke with some cruelty in it, but: A: absolutely everyone ridicules from their point of view/their center, even the most puritanical political types B: if the target is someone who could possibly help it, that's a fair target (we don't know, and we will never know, quite where a psych condition takes over and constrains someone's actions, so I'd argue that making fun of mild conditions is 100% in-bounds and a necessary social force. What's 5 out of 100 on the spectrum? Does that mean the person completely can't help it? Prove it.) C: the center of society ridiculing personality types for their different extremes and errors is basically a positive force, in general, provided the society is basically a positive force. The 'norm' is not always the 'wildly extreme' force that the political extremes would cast it as, when they attack the norm from their extremes..... obviously, right? The norm is the norm, and not necessarily evil. D: humor 'twas ever thus. It's where the word 'humor' comes from. Different tempraments get made fun of for having the wrong temperment in the wrong situation = Humor. Giving in to a social pressure on this specific issue is a chicken-shit thing to do (again, I don't know if HDTGM did so, since I don't know the show well enough). Comedians need to stick to their guns, and chew over what kinds of jokes are ok themselves, with some recourse to other people, but without ceding their own decisions to whoever makes the most noise. If you take a minute to consider what percentage of people in the US in 2015 basically don't get satire or other kinds of humor, it's a large number. You can see it with backlash on any humorist/satirist. There's always an angry dumb-ass twitter crowd ready for a witchhunt. Some of them are just plain stupid, but the majority have an axe to grind from the left or the right or one religion or another. Their ideas and sensitivities are not to be protected, any more than mine or yours are. And however many points I am on the spectrum, I don't want mine protected.

Change.org: Get James Adomian on SNL

um..... I think you guys have a better opinion of SNL than I do, if you want someone like Adomian, or any other actually gifted comedian on it. SNL would find a way to make him, or Lapkis or Andy Daly unfunny. 9 sketches out of 10. That show has its pick of the litter, and a budget, and look at the show's batting average for sketches across any of the last few years. They are terrible. TERRIBLE. It's really aimed at the mouth-breater crowd that needs to be hit over the head with simple repetitive jokes. The average high school assembly sketch is about on par with the worst 2/3rds of SNL sketches. I'm all for successful sketch shows. I don't think SNL sucks because it's successful. But it is the problem, not the solution. If your friend's a good cook, you don't hope he'll go work at Denny's.

EPISODE 388 — Breath Before Death

Yeah, your chords mustered up her astonishment, but whether she pants over them or not, we'll never know. So my condolences and/or good job!

We're in the parakeet days of Autumn.

T.S. Eliot said of them: November is the coolest month, molting Parakeets into winter robes, sembling Hosts in their leprous sweaters, chirping phrases that catch when the Scot augur Man.

    or is it 'unpeckable'?
  12. Scott's bound to love this one.

  14. I could swear that was Paul's voice.....?
  15. Mr. Beauregard the Dog was with Mr. Auckerman all night on the 27th of June. They did a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle together, so there's no way Mr. Auckerman could have slipped away for long enough to arson anything, let alone hot dogs.

    Ask Paul!

Paul, I know you had some concerns about starting a thread to talk to fans on here, but as long as you don't @danharmon yourself (re: Oct 20, 2015) I think the thread is a success. Even though I've just been doing dumb joke-posts, it's been fun to read the questions and answers.

    Ask Paul!

Hey Paul, Crazy question, I know, but I'm getting divorced and I need to crash at your place for a bit; seriously, like six days max. You won't even know I was there. I'll hang up my towel and put my dishes in the sink. Plus, I'll be gone all day looking for a new place. Also, man, I might need to talk about it a bit but I promise won't bring you down or anything, I just need to get a few things off of my chest. We'll order in Thai food or something. Have you ever played 1v1 charades?? Whaddaya think? Benicio Del Bore-O P.S.: I think I can win her back
