Episode 127 - Kazaam: LIVE!
Chainsaw Starring Nic Cage replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
My takeaway from that is, I think there's some Redditors who can't tell the difference between Shaq and Sinbad and are really, really bad at being racist. PS The Berenstain Bears were always the Berenstain Bears, Shazaam is Kazaam, and Stephen Biko died in prison, not Mandela. -
Episode 151 - The 2nd Annual HOWDIES Pt. 1

No, there's a difference. June is goddamn convinced that it's name is Gyoobee. Zardoz is just hard to say, is all. -

Damn, I just realized the category I really wanted: Best Al Pacino Impersonation. Because it feels like everyone had a Pacino. But it's still Pete Holmes. -

Listening to June's theories, and knowing for sure that she immediately forgets all of the movies after watching them, like Guy Pearce in Memento, puts such an amazeballs spim on all of her appearances. And "I'm very scared of mirages, in general." Possibly the line of the entire series. -

I believe that about all of our lives, we're just Jason's dying delusions. Listening now, The pitch for Zardoz got robbed for Best Metaphor/Simile. That one was amazing. -

They make terrible choices when they're not making music? It's interesting to think about the connection that the Zappas have to terrible movies, when you consider that Frank and Moon Unit did the song "Valley Girl", which popularized Valspeak across the country when it became a Top 40 hit, which led to the movie Valley Girl, which led to the first major roll for one Mr. Nicholas Coppola... -

Christmas Carol: The Movie (2001)

...an live action/animated kid's film, With Nicholas Cage as the voice of Jacob Marley, and the mice that Robert Mitchum's character from "Scrooged" wanted in his production of Scrooge. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0259929/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_Carol:_The_Movie Ho. Lee. Shit. I know it's probably too late for a Christmas movie this year, but holy god, this sounds like it could be terrible nuggets of gold (at least that scene). This is going to be on ThisTV in a little bit, I am going to check this out. -

I hope they do this movie so badly... it's just so terrible, and pretty much helped in killing WCW. -
USS Indianapolis (2016)
Chainsaw Starring Nic Cage replied to IRONicmerMAN's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I know that there was a rumored production about Quint's time on the Indianapolis. I wonder if this is what that eventually became, but with no Quint, so they could get around Universal, or if this is just a bobo shot at the story. On another note...man, I feel for Tom Jane when he does movies like this. Poor guy. -
End of Days (1999)

Episode 134.5 - Minisode 134.5
Chainsaw Starring Nic Cage replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
And I just came. Now then, to business! In case Paul was wondering, what made Blackie Lawless popping up in the movie ironic is that W.A.S.P. is now a Christian heavy metal band. The band started out as a shock rock band, even being prominently targeted by Tipper gore's PMRC and Blackie is famous for having a codpiece with a sawblade on it. However, somewhere along the way, Blackie became a born again Christian and Blackie shifted his writing away from the horror and sex antics, even to the point where Blackie would self-censor his older songs when he performed live and has even said he would never sing their biggest hit "Animal(Fuck Like A Beast) live again. So, his appearance in a movie about a known musical group of homosexuals is certainly ironic in hindsight. But at the time, the antics of W.A.S.P.'s live shows are probably what got him noticed. -
This movie literally gave me a headache watching it. I saw it for free at a preview (replete with security guards hired by the studio making sure no one was bringing in a camcorder I GUESS). After it, I still wanted my money back.
