Why did I watch this movie? I want every second back!!! http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1505427737

Holy Hell! I forgot how bad this was when both twins are onscreen.
-
I prefer a world filled with light.

Oh Jeff Richards! I know...that poor tall drink of water was heaven to look at but they didn't hire him to dance. There's a "making of" doc on the dvd that is facinating. Another big part of my childhood..crushing on all those brothers! Thanks for the recommendation of Om Shanti Om. That sounds like something I'll love & my man might want to kill me for making him watch!

You gotta find Seven Brides for Seven Brothers! The songs Sobbin' Women & Bless Your Beautiful Hide are ripe for discussion!

Episode 149 - The Lawnmower Man: LIVE! (w/ Neil Casey, Emily Heller)

Sweet Virtual Balls!! I missed this poster the first time through this thread. -
Found a fun UC Berkley performance of Reproduction! Obviously There are a 100 million performances for Grease. I did find more Grease 2 performances than I expected though.

Thanks for that one. Now that you mention it..I do remember the Sandra Dee reprise after the race & it does give me another way to look at the end of the movie. Although, I just don't see Sandy as a smoker at all. I also would like to think that she hung up her leather pants after the fair and opted for tight, but sensible capris or something. She probably kept the hair...the hair was good. Elektra is right in that Stephanie really doesn't do anything specific for Michael. It isn't really a mutual pining since she doesn't know her Cool Rider is Michael. I think that's why we get the bonding scenes of them at the diner. The tutoring is there to show us that these two like different sides of the other and to let us know that they do in fact spend time together. Michael may transform into a biker, but he's still a hot nerd that is Stephanie's friend. Michael gets to see Stephanie not just as the coolest girl in school, but the bad English student and someone who will put herself out there for her friends in a talent show she doesn't give a shit about. I sum them up as Grease 2 "the person you want is more than you realized you wanted"....more so in Stephanie's case anyway.

What Movie Would You Choose If You Got To Guest Host?
Soapstef replied to RyanSz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Well....my number 1 was done Speed 2: Cruise Control so I was satisfied for quite some time. Now, I'd say LADYHAWKE for sure because I'd have to defend it. I know Jason's history with this movie & would love to be there to make sure he knows he wasn't wrong to love it! My other choice would be: 1. Eddie & The Cruisers 2: Eddie Lives (1989) - Maybe we need to hash out how everyone feels about the first Eddie & The Cruisers, but for a movie that went through 14 drafts!....this sequel is horrendous! (In NERD NEWS...I also came across a Mental Floss story that said that Michael Parรฉ had written his own second sequel)SHIT..someone has to find out if he's really finished this thing! -
Everyone needs to see North & South...mainly for the world's most questionable accent from this dude:

I'm genuinely curious to see if June can even make it through this insanity in one sitting!!
-
I'm so on board for this one. I don't know what they had to do to get all these stars to sign on for this shit!
-
Molly...I will wrestle anybody on this board for that soundtrack if you find it! Lol. Happy Hunting.
-
I think it was all about what the kids were willing to put into their production. We see in the movie that this is basically Sharons life as the director. She's always got a mountain of binders and folders which I assumed was music and direction notes. I absolutely do not get Paulette's costume! That was straight up Fredrick's of Hollywood. Where's the school dress code?!
-
BEHOLD the spendor that is Girl For All Seasons...all the way to the freaking end!
-
I love June so much for her love of this movie! It's the same for me. I had this soundtrack on vinyl and war broke out when I was 12 when my sister broke the record. I would sing these songs from sun up to sundown! The one thing that has always annoyed me though was the interruption of Girl For All Seasons! OMG....half the movie is about Sharon getting the girls ready for this number & then it gets phased out so Stephanie can take her bike ride in heaven wishing to turn back the hands of time! Another thing...these girls truly love Stephanie because there's just no way she should be forgiven for hijacking the entire talent show when that performance was an ensemble piece..just sayin. Ok..nobody asked but here goes my favorite songs in order: 1. Cool Rider 2. Who's That Guy 3. Reproduction 4. Girl For All Seasons 5. We'll Be Together 6. Score Tonight 7. Back to School Again
-
Just watched it again on Netflix. It's still insane & I still love it! "Who's That Guy" stand out this time as my favorite song. It's weird how the time passes in this movie. I would love to hear this broken down on an episode. Its weird. I always forget that Lucinda Dickey is all through this movie as a dancer & this was 2 years before the classic Breakin'. This also had me Googling those crazy Double Mint (bitches) Twins & their terrible show Double Trouble. Oh the places this movie will take you.

Freeway II: Confessions of a Trickbaby (1999)
Soapstef replied to DaneMichaelIsherwood's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
The title alone makes it worthy for me! It sounds next level insane. -
That's what I came back to say. It just has to be done....and they need to play a snippet of "Reproduction". The songs are just too good!
-
I loved it dearly as a kid. It's still watchable..just silly.

Hey now...Mannequin 2 was a disaster, but this is a classic! Romantic & just a tad creepy...just like the 80's. The cast is to die for! I never miss this movie when its on cable. Another one that needs hrs of dvd extras. Hearing people discuss the making of this would have me die laughing.

The Most Watchable How Did This Get Made Movies?
Soapstef replied to shaquillemacneil's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Easy for me.... DEEP BLUE SEA hands down the most watchable! Thomas Jane...in a tight wet suit. Best death scene for Samuel L. Jackson A bitch that gets hers! One-liners for days. Crazy science! Non-stop insanity! The Best..period. Next, I'd put Con Air, SleepAway Camp (still can't figure out if that lady..the aunt..was a man!) & Rhinestone. Face Off can kiss my ass. So long, so ridiculous..and not fun. -
OMG Yuck! Now I'm grateful she never finds out wtf if going on.
