I remember the clerk at the video rental place in the town I grew up in recommending this movie to my parents. They rented it, and we watched it. For years, I could only remember the title and insane dance sequence at the end. For years, I searched for this movie and finally came across a terrible quality copy from a torrent site. It was everything I could have hoped it would be - one of Albert Pyun's many masterpieces.

One thing I didn't get when I watched the movie was that the roller-blading clone who is killed at the beginning knew about the plan to start the new ice age. So, Whoopi and her partner stand on the roof and see the truck chasing him, straight up watch the guy get murdered, THEN swoop down to take on the weird thugs. If they had been better at their jobs, they could have intervened earlier and learned what Adam knew. What I'm saying is that Whoopi and her partner were terrible cops, and if they were better at their jobs, the whole thing could have been avoided.

Oh my god, yes. I don't remember much about the movie except that Meat Loaf was unintentionally hilarious, and there was some extremely dodgy CGI during a dream sequence.

The cops in the movie kept mentioning skinheads and shaving their heads to go undercover, but all the white supremacists in the movie had long, flowing hair like they were models in a Vidal Sassoon commercial.

Prayer of the Rollerboys (1990)

Seriously, this movie is insane and was on HBO every day in the mid-1990s. I would love to hear the HDTGM crew analyze this film.- 9 replies
