I feel like there is a ton of confusion over the new Howl dealy-0, so I thought I would make a thread discussing opinions on the new format, and what I feel about it. I was already a premium member of Wtf Pod, so for me it was an easy transfer, and I kept my original payed price for LIFE! I Also got all the live content from Earwolf that was previously on the store, along with the two biggie podcasts in one spot. It was fairly easy to figure out, and I'm using an Android smartphone. For me the only drawback at this point is there not being an Android app yet, which seems to be a common complaint. You can easily go to Howl.fm and listen to all of the extra content, while the older episodes still don't seem accessible from the Howl.fm website, you can use the old method of listening for old content still. There is such a huge amount of free content that anyone complaining about a 5$ fee would sound silly. In summation, I'm extremely pleased with the new direction Earwolf is going, it's going to guarantee a higher quality, and more shows like Andy Daly's podcast which was a short run show that was paid for by Earwolf. All of our favorite shows will be one one place very soon, and for now they have given us so much new content it's impossible to finish all of it quickly. What are your opinions?

These are glitches I've run into on the Howl.fm site. No fast forward capability No fine volume control Episode numbers are inacurate* (Blacklist table reads is in the hundreds) Randomly crashes and forces me to either start the episode over or move on Shows guests that aren't in the episode

Full disclosure, I'm just trying to tell you how much I love SuperEgo Forgotten Classics. I just finished it up and now Ill fit a question in here to justify myself. Are you planning on releasing more of these soon? I'm sorry for puting this in Spontanionation forum, but I am so excited, I just can't hide it.

If this is true then you're very ready to dismiss something that you didn't have the option of getting before, with what seems like very little information.

Basically it's a grandfathered price and only applicable to people who have a premium membership before the Howl app came out. If you were a previous member then you can go to your email and follow the instructions. This thread is more for stating your opinion on the new platforms though, if you want to find out about the fine points then go to Scott Aukermans Questions thread, he answers a lot of the questions you will have there.

I agree with you. I made this forum specifically for real opinions on it and not just random criticism. I thought it would be nice to see peoples first impressions. Thanks for your awesome reply. A lot of nice people on this forum.

Yeah, sorry. I only have the mobile version on the Howl.fm website so it might be different. I had to click a bunch to get it to skip forwards and backwards, but I've done it a couple of times now on different tracks, so it for sure works for those having the same problem on the mobile version. /Edit There might be a fix, try installing dolphin broswer. That worked for another person who wasn't able to acess through Fire fox or Chrome.

Check out Scott Aukermans question thread. It has the answers for your questions, at least the most accurate answers. I saw him answer that question and a lot of others.

Very well thought out post. I've actually seen quite a few people just here complaining about having to pay for what used to be free, I don't get it honestly. That's the only reason I mentioned it in passing, tried to cover all my bases for what is applicable to my use of Howl.fm

Try downloading a different browser. I use dolphin browser, I'm listening right now on an Android phone.

I'm listening to it on my Android phone via Howl.Fm, and I was abble to fast forward and rewind by tapping the bar that shows progess in the general area until I found my spot. But I don't see a standard set of rewind fast forward buttons.

Would you ever consider having Matt Besser on the show at some point when you have established your own group? ( In my mind it's already established because I love all of those crazy and wild strange cats) I hope I'm not rehashing the same question.

I think you should always start with the first because it's exciting to go with them as they find their footing, and I find if you skip around too much you miss out on a lot of fun and inside jokes even if the guest isn't great. In this case the first episode is pretty exciting and gives a lot. I also love cbb and started Hollywood handbook recently, first episode was enough for me.
