Fair enough. Thank you.

It's august 2016 and I'm just now digging into WC. The songs don't hold up (thanks to HEAVY radio play) but I'll be damned if Kuku and Howie aren't amazing together.

Have you ever considered getting Wendy Liebman on the show?
-
Yeah, I know. I was late to the party. Even though I'm replying so late, I'm still enjoying them and can't help but want to post my thoughts. I hope to be caught up soon, too. I've actually heard most of the regular eps already and wound up going back to hear the mini's to see what they're all about. In order to give them better context, I found myself in a nostalgic spiral and had to start over pairing the minis with the reg episodes. Call me a ridiculous completionist, if you will. It's nice to get a sense of how those involved in podcasts developed their rapport over the years. I'm totally aware at how strange it seems when, 2-10 years after they were posted, I wind up here struggling to gain a foothold in the community who also enjoy these podcasts. P.S. I love your handle

"He just seems like he's looking at me like 'Yeah, I'm a dog, what's it to you'" - Paul on a particular listener's dog picture.

I have no doubts in my mind that the question was ONLY about MJ vs Weird Al

Episode 86 — Ernest Goes To Jail
CaseyRafter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
When Varney was still alive, Ernest meets the muppets would be amazing. I'd have pitched it as "The big Muppet come back" (which we've had now, I realize). He'd fit right into the bad guy role in it! Or as the loveable gallute who helps the muppets put on the show (and nearly flubs everything inadvertently) -
Episode 63 - A Coffee Plantation in Bali: Live from SXSW

"I burp down there" Also, does it not strike anyone else odd that a person interested in fitness owns a pasta restaurant? -
Episode 2 — The Unforgettable Fire
CaseyRafter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
#imwithkulap I hadn't heard of any of those bands (save Pet Shop Boys) and listened to ten seconds of a Scritti Politti song and nearly fell asleep. What is there to like there? Jesus... -
Episode 1823 - Amber Rose
CaseyRafter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Holy crap, what a great episode I actually went in thinking 'if this doesn't go well, I'm taking a break from the show for a while'. I paused and watched a version of the grapefruit video AA posted on YouTube just before they outed ur in the show. I nearly ralphed with laughter just imagining how Jimmy would react. I wasn't disappointed. I don't know why the group had the insight to bring her on despite the potential lack of chemistry there could have been between the nnf culture and Amber's but I'm so glad she was on and I think this may have been one of the best episodes in a few weeks. Can't wait for her return! Now...when does her show premiere? -
Episode 61 - A Suburban High School History Class on The First Day of Black History Month: Live from Largo
CaseyRafter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Those spontaneanation earrings. AMAZING "people are dumb" "Historically, black people need something to wipe their asses with" FINALLY, someone is talking about this The crowd reaction when she said that some black lives don't matter...my god, if this episode was recorded this week, the crowd may have lit the place on fire. One of the most joyous live episodes I've heard. The happy birthday song(s) sleighed me -
Episode 74 — Halloween III: Season of the Witch

Great. Now I'm the guy who has these files in my library -
"Jesus Barbosa"? As in Christ Barbosa? Yeah. There's no way it's pronounced "Hay-zoo-s"

I've been able to track some of these episodes on youtube over the last few months. I HAD to hear them for completionists sake.

A farewell message from Adam Sachs, that's me
CaseyRafter replied to AdamSachs's topic in General Earwolf
Sad to see you go. Thanks for all you've done for my entertainment -
The amount of anger that builds in Jason's 1880s payphone voice at Dr. Peter for not being more compassionate about those grey gorillas was amazing. That was some June vs monkey shines animal handlers level insanity.

Episode 140 - Mannequin Two: On the Move (w/ Steve Agee)
CaseyRafter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Holy crap. Newt episodes have TONS of comments. Anyway, when the show changed from an episode about M2 into a "now Google what underwear these dolls wear" sesh, I. Lost. My mind. You four are amazing. More Agee ALL THE TIME -

Listening to this made me uncomfortable because I'M Casey! Very unnerving. Also, Jon making a cameo appearance in the sewer was some next level scooby doo style loveliness -
