    Jane the Virgin is actually a really good, funny, poignant, original (and yes, feminist) show and I know you all are doing jokes, but some things are just not okay to do jokes about like rape, school shootings, 9/11 and my favorite TV shows so I hope you all think twice next time you wanna do jokes about something I hold dear that you think is dumb which for future reference include:

    • Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian

    I just want to say I'm listening to this and it's v good. I like the music. Everything is spooky and fun really, really well edited/produced. super soupr impressive and really setting a chill, spooky vibe for my day. That's all.

    Oh wow what a great ep to kick off another week of Forums.

     

    Last week on Forums:

     

    Silvrwoman and Ashley told everyone what was sexist, Elizamuffins grew a dick, Jakal showed everyone a cool video, forumers shared their favorite poems and Far Side comics, the Original Forum Elite Squad showed up to wreak havoc, SteveH got himself pregnant, Anastasia and Valerie were super nice, RanRan debuted her podcast, Spunky said some chill shit about bugs, Andy Dick Cheney brutally mindfucked the gang, and everyone disagreed about the latest episode of Comedy Bang! Bang!

     

    What's in store for our plucky crew this week? How many new podcasts will the forumers make? Whose sexy pic will get the most likes? Will Norm and Souprman finally kiss? Who will get a rose from honlads and who will not be joining us in next week's thread?

    PS - Seriously fantastic episode! So funny. Papa Hayes (and everyone) really crushed it. Tuesdays are my favorite day of the week, and the fact that they're my day off is only the second most important reason why.

    Aw man, I got Forge?! I guess at the very least it's better than Longneck, the guy with a slightly longer than average neck. That's an X-men deep cut.

     

    Still though, I always kinda saw myself as Jamie Madrox. Just sayin'.

    I actually like this and I might allow it.

     

    I'm cable which means ADC and I have a great dynamic.

    You are also at war with Houston though. For your future to be saved from darkness and destruction, his future must be sacrificed and vice versa. So don't get too hype.

     

     

    What!? I don't know who Mastermind is, but I don't want to be that guy, he sounds a big stupid idiot.

     

    Mastermind was able to manipulate Phoenix into fucking him, so honestly you should be thanking me.

    Oh man you guys I had a pretty big show tonight.

     

    I didn't invite anyone to see my first couple shows because there is less pressure that way but now that I'm pretty confident in my skills I decided to invite a handful of friends to this show and NOT A SINGLE ONE CAME not even Jeffrey which is the one I'm really the most hurt by and honestly even though the show went really well, I feel pretty terrible.

     

    Also there's this girl I've done some workshops/classes with who I really, really just could not stand at all but then tonight she complimented me and gave me a hug and now I'm in love with her even though I know she's straight.

     

    I'm not at all depressed not even a little bit which is why I just ordered a pizza with cheese on it which will be the first time in a very very long time I've broken the Vegan Code I'm doing great.

     

    I think the handful of you who don't hate me might be my only real friends. haha psych that would be such a lame thing to say

    Here to announce that this is my day off and therefore I have listened to all the podcasts.

     

    The Good or Bad podcast was very funny and interesting. I liked that the episode was about robots cause I used to be super into robot/android-centric sci-fi lit so that was great. And also the fellas on the ep were all very funny. (I PMed the one who was the funniest to let them know, though.) The bit about binary code was really, really smart and hilarious and I also loved the bits about The Killers/Michael Jackson and pro/antibioticism. Also the utterance of the phrase "Darth Lip Service" made me laugh out loud. Just theoretically if I had a podcast and there were technical difficulties, I'd probably edit them out (just theoretically) but Kevin O'Brien displayed some clever hosting by turning the technical difficulties into a very funny bit that the others played along with perfectly and I was quite impressed. Also I know my vote doesn't count, but I still want to say that robots are good.

     

    I would like to suggest/request an episode about the Kardashians because I love them and think they are (mostly) good but people love to tell me how bad they are and I think it could make for interesting debate. Also maybe an episode about my fave anti-villain Magneto, another thing I think is good that lots of ppl think is bad.

    RanRan's podcast is also v good. I like her voice in a totally non-creepy way. RanRan, have you considered doing an album of dream pop covers of Tom Waits songs?

     

    As someone who used to be super into music but is now pretty dumb about it, this was a good way to hear cool songs without having to go find them myself and also hear some very smart and engaging commentary on those songs and also music stuff in general. I will be continuing to listen and probably also telling my friends about the songs I hear on this show as if I found them myself. For some reason, most of my friends are involved in the local music scene and I know they all secretly judge me for not knowing as much as they do about music. But no longer! Now I'm going to prove them wrong thanks to RanRan and co.

     

    I was a tiny bit afraid going into this that it would be like listening to my shoegaze fuckboy friends try to impress each other with their technical music vocabulary while they discuss the most obscure songs they can come up with. But even though the discussion was smart and authoritative, I never once felt alienated or condescended to. Honestly, RanRan and her co-host were really cool and fantastic and knowledgable without being remotely pretentious. I do wish that they would have played every song twice, but oh well.

    Hey guys! How's it going? TGIF, huh?

     

    Just a tiny thing I noticed today just because I happened to be checking the date on my phone and it's really not a whole thing but I just saw that it was the 23rd which haha funny story means it's actually our One Month Forumversary today...

     

    I'm not saying I want to do anything for it! It's totally not a big deal like at all I just thought it was kinda funny when I randomly noticed this dumb thing. hahahaha. Crazy, right?
