I am biased, but I think NYC - specifically Manhattan - is one of the easier cities to navigate because of the grid system (mostly). Numbered streets run East-West and Avenues run North-South. Broadway goes diagonally. -

Why did Jojo and Sadie have that fight on stage? Is it because Sadie wanted him to wear silly outfits? And then did they reconcile? How? -
Most of them are what I consider the movie equivalent of junk food. I know it's not good for me, but it's like dopamine being released in my reward center. So off the top of my head, I would say You've Got Mail, The Proposal, While You Were Sleeping, aforementioned Leap Year (apologies to the fine people of Ireland), Clueless (yes, this counts), Manfield Park, and Bringing Up Baby/Holiday because I can't separate those two. Most recently, Sabrina (1954). Outside of rom-coms, I would say In the Mood for Love. Songs: The Beach Boys God Only Knows (shut up, it was my wedding song) Stevie Wonder I Believe (When I Fall in Love) Bon Iver Skinny Love

Mamma Mia was brought up several times, but was it that bad? I watched it a few month ago for the first time and I thought it was fun and innocuous. Sure, the story is ridiculous, but the amazing cast makes up for it, IMO. Also, unlike AtU, maybe I enjoyed Mamma Mia more because I don't the Abba discography that well? I mean, when the movie opens with "I Have a Dream," I was like hey, that's the song from Black Mirror. -

Another thing I noticed about Lucy - in the scene where Lucy is trying to persuade her mother to let her live with Max for the summer, her mother is hesitant because she thinks Max's friends are "promiscuous dope fiends." Lucy's like, oh mother, you know me, I don't even smoke! Then later, in the city, we see Lucy smoking on the mattress on the floor. Was this a conscious choice? Oh wow, the big city really changed Lucy, she's a smoker now. What a baddie. -

Gotcha. We're not "celebrating" here, but the date has a special place in my heart...it was Valentine's Day weekend when we went out for the first time, so I specifically made the date on the 13th instead of the 14th (because nobody needs that kind of pressure). Well, we ran into each other on the 14th anyway, at a speakeasy of all places. So yeah, other than those personal reasons, I don't think I would give VD a second thought (well, besides the discounted chocolate starting on the 15th). -

I'm still confused lol. Are you saying Valentine's Day is a dumb holiday for High Schoolers as in High Schoolers are above Valentine's Day? Or that Valentine's Day is a dumb holiday in general and it's so dumb that only dumb High Schoolers appreciate it? -

I feel nothing. I don't hate this movie, but also, I don't anything this movie. It's such a bore. Sure, there are some nice moments, but they aren't enough of them for me.
