TIL Sesame Street's H looks a lot like a spit roast. Wink, wink. Movie ending that gets me every time is The Iron Giant. The most recent movie that wrecked me was Kubo and the Two Strings. I legit sobbed. Laika sure has come a long way since Coraline.

I hated this movie before Trump won. I hated Gamer too. Both were so boring! I kept reaching for my phone to play Candy Crush. Maybe I don't get it? I wish I had some useful C&Os to post, but I've got nothing.

Do you think Pete ever used his finger trick to locate fuckarees vs fuckarows? Anyway, how did Pete know the realtor bought a candy bar? Wasn't he focusing on trying to find the keys? I don't understand why the finger didn't show him the puddle right away.

What I didn't understand most of all was the alien life cycle. I don't think the film did a good job of explaining how these aliens work. Do the ass worms grow up to be those bipedal aliens like Mr. Grey? If the ass worms are the immature young versions of them, why are they the ones laying the eggs? Their babies are having babies! Do these tiny worms that hatch from eggs just grow up to be ass worms? Then what's the point of incubating an ass worm in a human, if they can just reproduce outside of the human body? It seems like you only get one ass worm per one person, while a single ass worm can lay hundreds of eggs. It's just more efficient to bypass the human incubation stage, don't you think? And I might have missed this, but what does the red rash have to do with anything? Are the people/animals being infected by some sort of microscopic worm that somehow travel from skin to the gut? We saw that the bipedal aliens can kind of poof into red dust - is that what the skin rash is?

I had it all wrong then. I just assumed the original book ending was radically different (and hopefully better) than the movie ending because, lolwut that movie ending.

Sweet Christmas, so many feels watching Season 1. I loved all the music - from the nightclub performances to the background music. All the actors delivered (well...maybe not the actor playing Shades).

Well, I'm no better than you, because I was wondering the same thing (surprise). We learn that the Moroi carry out basic human functions - they breathe oxygen, they reproduce, and they "eat" blood. They get hungry if they go too long in between feedings. So I did some Googling and found that blood contains about 700 calories/L. An average adult would need to drink around 3 L per day. Besides calories, humans need to ingest other essential vitamins and minerals like vitamin C, since our bodies can't make it or store it. The average blood serum levels of vitamin C are around 5 mg/L. The World Health Organisation recommends at least 45 mg per day. So you’d need to drink 9 L of blood to avoid getting scurvy, which equals 6300 calories! That's an extra 4000 calories per day, or 1.46 million extra calories in a year, which equals to 417 pounds of fat per year!* On further Googling, it turns out that the 3 L per day requirement would give you 4.5 times your recommended dietary allowance of salt. So on top of the morbid obesity, these teens are probably suffering from hypertension. They are walking time bombs for cardiac events. This brings me to the original question. Do vampires poop? Yes. Yes they do. However, since they don't have any real fiber in their diet, their poops are likely black tarry messes (do not Google image search for melena). I hope they wipe the memories of the janitors at the academy. *(assuming a sedentary lifestyle and all extra calories get converted to adipose tissue)

Lissa was being stalked? By the crazy teacher? Or was she being stalked by Victor? Speaking of Victor, do the books explain what Sadovsky's Syndrome is? It was the motivation for Victor to capture Lissa, right? But they didn't explain what it is! Oh, and they made it seem like Victor was the last in his line, but then 2 seconds later, Natalie appears. Did I just imagine that part of the movie that said he was the last of the Dashkov line?
