Episode 33 - Odycheese (w/ Griffin Newman)
yeahtoast! replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Off Book: The Improvised Musical
What an epic! Who knew combining myth and cheese would be so great? -
25 - Chronic Town
yeahtoast! replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I was a big enough fan of U2 to have listened to every single one of their albums before UTU2TM existed. Not to brag, but I knew a thing or two about U2. I barely know REM. Maybe ten songs. Not even the band member names. I am extremely excited for this! -
Episode 532 - Everything Is Horrible and Wonderful
yeahtoast! replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
"What if a bathroom floods over some jewels?" I loved this episode and would go as far as to say it belongs in the Best Ofs, even as we're only in the middle of Febby-doggie! Stephanie was amazing, Tawny had me in stitches. Will & Paul are always great. "Stephanie Wittels Wachs, your name is a sentence." Paul loves these doesn't he? He used to say that about Sarah Burns on Spontaneanation too! -
Episode 149 - Yngwie Malmstein Concert: Live from The Bell House (w/ David Rees, Eugene Cordero, Tawny Newsome, Little Janet Varney)
yeahtoast! replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I was going to say exactly this. It's definitely up there. I also loved the recurrence of "woke up and be'd here" from last year's Sketchfest show with Eugene, Tawny, and Janet. That line might just make another appearance in a few weeks! -
Episode 26 - X-Moms: Days of Mother’s Moms (w/ Zeke Nicholson)
yeahtoast! replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Off Book: The Improvised Musical
How many piano-playing Scotts do you guys have over there??? Great ep! Couldn't agree more. Zeke's beatboxing was rockin'. -
Episode 322 - Worriers and the Cynical Begrudgings Cards

That gym teacher sarcasm bit was incredible, especially Mary losing her mind over the rrrrrrrrrrrr doiyoiyoing! -
"YA EVER SEE ME ON MSNBC WHERE IT'S JUST ME BROADCASTING IN FRONT OF LIKE A TOWN HALL PEOPLE WALKING AROUND VOTING AND STUFF THAT'S ALL FAKE THERE'S COPS ALL OVER THE PLACE MAKE SURE NBDY GETS INFRONNA ME." "...cool." Adomian's Chris Matthews is insane. He and Carl stole this episode. MC Sugar Butt is the best. "I was born in December. An October to remember!"

Episode 524 - Merry Chunky Christmas with Neil Patrick Harris

The show where... they talk to the... interestingnest... -
I wasn't expecting a Kai Ryssdal namedrop of all things. The whole sequence with "cream their jeams" and the "Baltimore Raisins" had me in stitches. Great ep. Could you imagine Scott just sitting there stewing as it went on? I'd enjoy it.

Episode 18 - Touched By A Gabriel (w/ Ashley Ward)

Ashley Ward has a beautiful voice. The harmonies they pulled off together were wonderful. -

Episode 315 - The Smith Street Band and the Incredible Shrinking Feet
yeahtoast! replied to DaltonMaltz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Oh man, I was really hoping that last bit with the professor listing dancers in front of the dean would have fit in one last Kendrick callback. That would have been perfect! -
Episode 131 - Tommy Bahama Store (w/ Arden Myrin, Maria Blasucci, Little Janet Varney, Steve Agee)
yeahtoast! replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Are you sure? Let me see. Ahehememehhmm. M-U-N-D-E-R-S, C-O-R-E, Bla-sooch. Hey, it works! -
Episode 11 - Shift Your North The Musical: LIVE! (w/ Griffin Newman, Michael Cruz Kayne)
yeahtoast! replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Off Book: The Improvised Musical
Thank goodness for Chekhov's invisible siblings! *meep meep* I was extremely impressed that Jessica managed to get all of their names right when they finally showed up. Griffin and Michael were awesome too! "Hey guys, I just got back from the southwest where I think I momentarily made the universe geocentric..." -
Episode 10 - Always Sad, Always Happy (w/ Will Hines)

Does anyone mind if I bring... a... rrrrRUSTIC RAISIN RYE!? -
I adore Tig Notaro. That is all.

Episode 9. All Of Our Business (w/ Erin Whitehead)
yeahtoast! replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Off Book: The Improvised Musical
Yes this! I lost it when Zach went for EIGHT more cats. So good! Also I know Scott Passarella is incredible, but I have to say "10 Floors" was above and beyond musically. Seriously, listen to it again just for the piano, it's outstanding. -
Ep. 7 Run to you Bride (w/ Fran Gillespie)
yeahtoast! replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Off Book: The Improvised Musical
Was that a Finnish accent? -
Ep. 6 Wolf/Tuck The Musical: LIVE! (w/ D’Arcy Carden, Paul Scheer)

Episode 126 - Lobby of a 3-Star Hotel (w/ Janina Gavankar, Mandell Maughan, Tawny Newsome, Jeremy Carter)
yeahtoast! replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Heads up: you may want to listen to "U Talkin' U2 To Me" before this episode, then you'll be sure to get and enjoy the references to the U2 band member names! -
I have to agree with David, that might be my favorite version of Closing Time I've ever heard.
-
I was going to say this too! It was uncanny.
