I fully support this pick!!! The ROLLERBALL remake is one of the most incomprehensible action films I've EVER seen. The way it cuts, the the transitions from scene to scene, the entire way this fucking movie MOVES is mind boggling. Not the mention the script, the acting, the sets, the music... it is the definition of a fucking mess! It will probably give others a headache, but I love watching this trainwreck.

What was the deal with the chef who told SMG her place was closing at the beginning, Charlie, I think? First time I saw him I thought, "Is that SPF, the Boondocks Saint himself?" But then I realized "Nah, he's just some better than average looking dude they're playing off as someone who's been carrying a torch for her for sometime. Some bland romantic foil to SPF." Mostly cause people kept reminding SMG that Charlie was back in town. AND AGAIN, like so many other things, he disappears and is never brought up again. Was there, like, a SCREAM 3 type murder spree that took place on set, eliminating key supporting players mid-production, forcing drastic and insane decisions in regards to editing, composition, tone, dialogue, and all around story construction?

Damn Cameron H, that was something else!

Now that you mention it, yeah, I have a big problem with the live shows being my favorite kind of episodes. And that I can't care about the sound quality because I'm laughing too hard! And that they're free! Screw you HDTGM for the years of consistently hilarious & great entertainment! Ya jerks.

That's the thing, nobody knows she was cooking anyway cause her shitty boyfriend gave her credit away to the chef who quit. As for her plan, simple. Step 1: Magic Food! Step 2: Step 3: Profit!

I also thought the music was odd. An awkward mixed bag of late nineties alt rock and late 80's sax. Freakin weird.

in all seriousness, from Cameron H, I appreciate that. But I don't wanna be some homewrecker so I'll just take some magical floating cannoli's and be on my way. EDIT: my back up joke was, "Well, Fister, where have you been getting your magical crabs from lately?"

Another thing that bothered me about the end... When SMG's food is killing it at the fancy restaurant and a customer comes up to SPF and his boss, he congratulates the original chef for his work having no idea he upped and quit earlier in the day, AND NEITHER SPF OR HIS BOSS SAY ANYTHING!!! They don't correct him or nothing. You'd think this would cause some conflict later but, nope. Just another loose thread that goes nowhere. "Just gonna thro my magical food making ex under the bus cause the dumb broad made me float a little. You know, cause it's a romance!"

Also, they touched on it in the ep, but I totally thought the jerk chef at the end who also got pinched by the crab was going to either eat him (hey, this movie could have gone there. Then she could've learned she was talented all along without crabs!... Right?) or chase the crab around the kitchen only to be foiled at every turn alá "Little Mermaid". When the camera panned down during the final dinner to show the jerk chef eating a dish next to the crab, I was sure he boiled that little twerp and was about to dig in to the horror of SMG. But nope, instead of pulling off an amazing 3rd act twist or taking advantage of some sure fire slapstick, the film makes them best buddies. I was a little annoyed but... Oh, who can stay made at little guy? He wears lettuce as a hat and finally got SMG laid?! Whatta Baddass!

CORRECTION: Sadly, Paul was wrong. According to IMDB the original title was "Vanilla FOG" because of the Vanilla flower peddles that land in her food and create the fog they bang in. An easy mistake. Although "Vanilla Frog" correctly describes the insanity of this movie, "Vanilla Fog" makes more since (kicks can down street), I guess.

Oh no, it's nothing like that. You guys always come across as a chill board. It's more like... I've hung around long enough to get the rhythms of things. One thing I've noticed is the hype, or lack there of, that comes with a movie in the minisode threads. Not necessarily talk about the film, but instead quick blips of excitement, or a summary of their feelings, or a story about how they watched it. You can tell people are saving their best thoughts and notes for the main ep thread, not to mention all the discussion that'll be bred from the ep itself. But I just found it odd how a little was being talk about this film, considering how crazy it is. I don't expect it with every film, but this just thru me for a loop. EDIT: I would've posted that in the minisode thread but this thread had just popped up and, well, I figured I'd just make an entrance I guess. Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome!

Guys... Guys. I'm new here. Been lurking for years and come close to joining with a couple films that were just too insane not to want to join the discussion here.... but this did it. This movie did it, you guys! I kept reading the string of tv show theme songs in the minisode thread, enjoying every one of them, but I couldn't help but wonder why near NOBODY was talking about this movie. As somebody already posted, like the best HDTGM films, I was legit yelling WTF 5 mins in, and every 5 mins after that. It's Insane.
