    Rage (2014)

Sorry, mods. I did a search for this badboy and nothing came up. I'm glad I am not the only one interested in these wrecks from Cage's 2014 marathon.

    Rage (2014)

I didn't see this in the forum just yet. Looks like Cage has a few turds out on Netflix right now, and this one is choice. And just what in the hell happened to Danny Glover's career? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rage_(2014_film) "Paul's patience with the police ends completely when Caitlin's body is found in a storm drain. After her funeral, the wheelchair-bound O'Connell strongly suggests that Paul allow the police to handle the investigation, reasoning that Paul was allowed to walk out of the mob, and therefore he should stay away from mob methods. Paul and his buddies shake down and rough up anyone they can find who might be connected to Chernov, the legendary mob boss whose money they stole seventeen years earlier and whom they think was involved in Caitlin's murder. O'Connell pleads with Paul to stop his rampage, but he refuses. Vanessa, who initially backed her husband's search, now fears he's becoming the killer he once was. But there exists another possibility: perhaps he has always been a violent man and can never truly leave that life behind. After executing some of Chernov's men and wrecking their businesses, Paul's buddies are targeted by Chernov. When Kane is captured and tortured, he tries to get Chernov to admit to killing Caitlin as revenge for the heist decades ago. Chernov is perplexed, but also angry that Paul did the long-ago crime, as the Russian mobster they killed turns out to have been Chernov's brother. Meanwhile, Paul thinks Danny had to have talked because the friend is directly working for O'Connell once again, and Danny uses drugs and parties and may have talked and not remembered. He confronts Danny, accuses him of ratting, and knifes him in a moment of wrath."

    I Am Wrath (2016)

More hot garbage from John Travolta. Nicolas Cage was initially set to star, but the project stalled, leaving the door open to Cage's "Face Off" costar. My question: would this have stayed in single digits on Rotten Tomatoes if Cage held on to the lead role? This one hurts, because Christopher Meloni is great. Alas, even Michael Keaton was involved in schlock such as "Jack Frost". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_Wrath "Unemployed engineer Stanley Hill (John Travolta) witnesses the murder of his wife, Vivian (Rebecca De Mornay), when she is attacked by a gang of thugs in a parking garage. Wracked with guilt over his failure to save the woman he loved, Stanley is tortured by the haunting image of Vivian dying in his arms. When Detective Gibson (Sam Trammell) and other corrupt police officers are unable to bring the killers to justice, Stanley turns to his old friend Dennis (Christopher Meloni), and decides to take matters into his own hands. It is only then that Stanley and Dennis find that they share a mysterious past that, until now, they have kept very well hidden. As they embark on their campaign of vengeance, Stanley uncovers a conspiracy that leads to the upper ranks of the government, and those involved in the cover-up soon realise that Stanley and Dennis are far more dangerous than they could ever have imagined...."

    Killing Season (2013)

Robert De Niro. John Travolta. How bad could it be? Movie poster tag line: "The purest form of war is one on one." Ok, that bad. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_Season_(film) "In Belgrade, Serbia, former Scorpions soldier Emil Kovač (Travolta) meets his informant to retrieve a file on American military veteran and former NATO operative Colonel Benjamin Ford (De Niro). Ford has fled to a cabin retreat somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains, to forget the war. Now a recluse, he meets Kovač, posing as a European tourist, during a hunting trip. The two men become friendly, until Kovač reveals his true identity. Intent on revenge, he initiates a gory game of cat-and-mouse with Ford. The latter is badly injured but is quick to rebound. After a showdown, Kovač is overpowered by Ford. They reach a peaceful compromise, however, after understanding each other's predicament. Kovač quietly returns to Serbia, while Ford visits his son, to make up for missing his grandson's baptism."
  7. Pitfalls and Pratfalls, a bromance starring Brad Pitt and Chris Pratt, out this Fall!
  8. I'm just going to leave this here. I don't know when/if this will grace our screens, but I really, really hope so. It sounds epic...Chinese billionaire putting up $130 million for film to rival Avatar, mermaids, Greek mythology, budgetary problems. Sounds like a recipe for...something. Trailer: https://read.atavist.com/sunk "The script called for an epic battle. In the movie’s third act, the forces of the Eight Faery Kingdoms defend their aquatic empires from annihilation by the evil Demon Mage and his spectral legions. Five hundred extras would play the opposing armies." https://en.wikipedia...res_of_the_Deep "As of July 2016, the film remains unreleased, going through 4 directors, 10 scriptwriters and with many of the acting, production and technical crews still unpaid."

    Pulgasari (1985)

Pulgasari, North Korea's Godzilla. The description seems eerily similar to how the ruling family has lorded over DPRK, yet stops well short of demonstrating how ridiculous the movie turns out to be. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulgasari "In feudal Korea, during the Goryeo Dynasty, a king controls the land with an iron fist, subjecting the peasantry to misery and starvation. An old blacksmith who was sent to prison creates a tiny figurine of a monster by making a doll of rice. When it comes into contact with the blood of the blacksmith's daughter, the creature springs to life, becoming a giant metal-eating monster named Pulgasari. The evil King becomes aware that there is a rebellion being planned in the country, which he intends to crush, but he runs into Pulgasari, who fights with the peasant army to overthrow the corrupt monarchy." Legacy: "Pulgasari has gained some popularity over the years because of the shocking story of Shin Sang-ok and Choi Eun-hee's kidnapping at the hands of North Korea's government. During their strange captivity in the country the Shin and Choi were, respectively, director and leading actress in a number of North Korean films produced by Kim Jong-il. The director and leading actress made together a total of seven films, for which the couple - who were separated before their kidnapping and eventually rekindled their romantic relationship while in captivity - was simultaneously commissioned and forced to do by North Korea's goverment."
  11. I didn't see this in the forum, so apologies if it's already made the list. Another MST3K review, The Final Sacrifice (aka Quest for the Lost City) is a real mess. A Canadian mess, to boot. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Final_Sacrifice "The protagonist, Troy McGreggor, finds a map belonging to his late father, who was shot seven years earlier, as the first scene depicts. Troy’s father, Thomas, was an archeologist who met his untimely death after becoming involved in a plot with a mysterious cult led by a strange man named Satoris (Shane Marceau). The orphaned Troy decides to follow the map to learn about the circumstances of his father's death. The cultists learn about Troy and his father's map and begin chasing him in a black Ford Torino, but Troy escapes by outrunning them on his 10-speed bicycle. The cultists refuse to give up, however, and in a final attempt to escape, Troy jumps into the back of a battered pickup truck heading into the Alberta countryside. The truck belongs to a drifter with the unusual name of Zap Rowsdower. At first Rowsdower considers turning Troy over to the police, but after Troy helps him to fix his broken-down truck, he decides to let Troy stay with him. At a campfire that night Troy asks Rowsdower lots of questions, which irritates the grumpy Rowsdower, who drinks lots of beer and rubs his tattooed left arm as if he's in pain." Even Dwarfs Started Small (1970)

Quite right. However, when typing both in Chrome, Dwarves comes up as a misspelling while Dwarfs is fine. Dumb.

    Empires of the Deep (TBD)

Good question. When it comes to China, who the hell knows? I read the article all the way through and was blown away at how big of a dumpster fire it became. Seriously, how did they land someone from a James Bond film? Hopefully she demanded money up front.

    The Conqueror (1956)

Well said. Maybe I'm biased because I've done a lot of reading on the Khans and saw the Mongol film, but this $hit stinks. It stinks bad.

    The Conqueror (1956)

This was made in the 1950's, but considering that there were some decent movies out before 1960, this is still hot garbage. Oh, and people got sick from radiation poisoning because it was filmed by a nuclear testing site. https://en.wikipedia...onqueror_(film) John Wayne as Genghis Khan. That's bad. He "won" a Golden Turkey award for his attempt. It made a book listing the 50 worst films of all time, though that book came out in 1978 and missed out on some real gems. "The film is listed in Golden Raspberry Award founder John Wilson's book The Official Razzie Movie Guide as one of the The 100 Most Enjoyably Bad Movies Ever Made." Trailer:

Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966)

I'm glad you guys are on board. Do the hosts seem to take forum recommendations? I mean, if so, this should be a layup. Just look at the title. If you translate the one Spanish word to English, the titles is "Hands: The Hands of Fate". Fish in a barrel, HDTGM. Fish in a barrel.
