Maggie Gyllenhaal was told at 37 that she was too old to play the love interest of a 55 year old man. This stuff PISSES me off!!! Off topic, one of my favorite moments was how hard June laughed at the penguin joke. I was SO excited that the whole crew was there. -

Oh right, that was another thing I wanted to comment on. RE: Letter from Mitchell Goosen; I remember when the movie version of American Psycho came out, there was a website where you could sign up to get "Emails from Patrick Bateman." I tried to sign up, but I didn't learn about it until the movie was already out on DVD so I think I was too late. I imagine they would have been written by Brett Easton Ellis, and were probably a tool to promote the theatrical run. I haven't looked in a long time, but I wonder if you can read those online somewhere. Similarly, long after the season aired, you could still sign up for WUPHF [from The Office U.S.], and get a welcome email from "Ryan Howard." It might still be up, I don't know.

This is a great one. Came here to recommend it, and did a search first. An actual line of dialog: "Someday Mama I'm gonna buy you a Cadillac for each foot, and you gonna skate around town lookin SO bad!" Another one: guy jimmies open door; "I done busted this houses cherry. She's WIDE open now!" -

Last night I was watching Adventures in Babysitting, so I went in the Wikipedia page and it said it was released in Europe as A Night on the Town. Do you remember it by that title? Also, I clearly remember when The Professional was released in the US. It wasn't until DVD that they combined the international titles and it became Leon: The Professional. Paul, it is the SAME giggle every time. Listen back to an old episode instead of on YouTube. I can't explain it. Maybe at some point one of the engineers copied it from an episode instead of from the original audio file. There is no way that the same people giggle the same way EVERY single time. Also, on accents: I noticed similar phenomena in the remake of The Crazies. It takes place in Iowa, but some of the characters speak with a southern twang. Granted we're not a cosmopolitan as New York or LA, but "flyover state" does not equal "The South." I guess they figure we're all country folk. Incidentally I do live out in the country. There was more I had to say, but I'll have to listen to the episode again.

RIP Harris. What a freaking bummer. I was searching online to see if they were going to make more, and they said the reason they took so long after the first season was they needed to take a break and live some life in order to gather more material; since much of the show was taken from their real lives. -
