I'm a HUGE Bates Motel fan, but Hannibal started to feel like a chore after a while. I got most of the way through the first season. I love Mads Whatever [the guy who played Hannibal].

I like this movie. I've never seen it 100% clear-headed, but it's interesting enough to watch it once.

Is there a scene where someone won't come out of their dressing room, and a young woman is trying to coax them out by singing some Beatles song through the door? Or am I confusing this with some other godawful jukebox musical?

Just binged it over the weekend. YES!!!! It's fantastic! And they're making more. It's really funny and really touching and really well done. Really!

I don't care for Baz Luhrmann. I don't know if I'll track this one down either. Interesting pick, though.

Oh man. that guy. "Taste death, live life." I watched this a million times as a kid, but I haven't seen it since then.

It is said by all of the guests many times that this is basically four movies. And Rob Bowman is a noted TV director. Knowing that a half-hour episode of a TV show runs approximately twenty-two minutes without commercials, and that this movie runs just under 90 minutes, is it possible that this movie is actually four TV episodes?

^^^^^THIS! THIS! THIS! Came here to recommend this movie, but I did a search [your welcome, Admin] and it's already here. I think this is the quintessential HDTGM movie. I LOVED it as a kid. I even had a poster of the box art that I got from a video store freebee bin on my wall. I came back to it later as a [pot smoking] adult and found that it was still very entertaining. This time, the Ramones have been replaced with The Pursuit of Happiness [i'm An Adult Now, Cigarette Dangles]; who were actually a pretty good band. They don't appear onscreen as the Ramones did in the first movie, but their semi-hit I'm An Adult Now is playing on a TV at one point, and they wrote and recorded a theme song for the movie. Featuring Corey Feldman, deeply entrenched in his Michael Jackson obsession, and Mojo Nixon as the Spirit of Rock and Roll. Come on, Matt! You HAVE to do this movie. It is PERFECT for the show!

Totally off topic (sorry): Remember when they "called an audible," and switched movies midweek because the movie wasn't interesting enough to make a good episode? What movie was that? I can't remember and it's driving me insane.

Has anyone seen Some Kind of Wonderful? I haven't but I want to. Apparently it's John Hughes's apology for Pretty in Pink. semi off-subject, the original version of that song is fuckin' ace!

It really is, and it looks perfect. Well, period perfect. Computer imaging wasn't really any more advanced than that at the time.

Speaking of Midwesterner, this might be why I hadn't heard of 4Loko. I worked at a liquor store during the entire "energy booze" saga. I remember when it was introduced, and I remember when it was banned. I clearly remember B-e (energy Bud), and Captain Morgan Tattoo (black-colored energy rum), but I never saw any 4Loko. Maybe it wasn't distributed in my region, or maybe just not in Iowa? We didn't even have Chocodiles til like last year.

As a lifelong Midwesterner: no. No I can't.

No, but Kulap has mentioned it on Who Charted? I looked it up, and couldn't find any reference to it containing caffeine. Was it one of those caffeine-and-alcohol drinks like Sparks was before the FDA banned such drinks? Nevermind. I looked it up again and yeah, it was an "energy beer."

Incidentally, the "zero calorie" Red Bull tastes AWFUL! I spend the five calories on the Sugar Free. It's a once-in-a-while thing, because of how expensive it is.
