3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain (1998)
KellStarr replied to GregJ's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
It was filmed in an amusement park and when live shows come back I would love the gang to come back to Denver for this movie. It’s a slight source of local pride that a movie was filmed at Elitches. -
I’m bumping this up for good luck! It’s on CBS all access and the gang would have an absolute blast reviewing it. It’s got everything from predicting the future to Uma having an endless supply of barrettes! Please consider this for an upcoming episode!

Godzilla (1998) was one of my favorite movies as a kid It is not above teasing because it is so very dumb... but I have a soft spot for it.

This movie is hot nonsense. Denzel tries to prevent a terrorist attack using time traveling surveillance technology, but none of the rules make sense! Val Kilmer, Paula Patton and Jim Caviezel also star in this bonkers movie. They some how made Denzel a total creep and wrapped it around a strange religious subtext and inserted an ode to Hurricane Katrina. This movie was pretty well received but after rewatching it tonight I think it’s a very good candidate. What do you guys think?

If the gang ever comes back to Denver, please oh please pick this movie! As a proud Coloradan I can say this movie is completely accurate. It is also mind blowing that this was made in 2019. The audience question has to be “what’s your gangster name and why?”....mine is Cold Brew... because I love cold brew. My favorite line is “Errr there’s a kid driving away on a snowblower.”

I’m so happy to know a bunch of people feel the same way about this movie as I do! This movie means so much to me. She was criticized for not being strong enough to control her emotions but her actual strength was letting them out. I really related to that. I’m so excited to see her in Endgame and I hope she gets lots of sequels

I just watched this for myself last night... it’s garbage... but I know there’s lots for the gang to unpack. “Rob” gets a draft letter for the Crusades! I could not nail down Marian’s accent and neither could the actress. Christian Grey is two face. And I can’t stop laughing at the thought of the Zero Dark Sherwood war scene... please keep this on your short list!

This might be a great double feature with Serenity... all star cast, crazy twist and misleading trailer.
-
Yes just yes... I know the spoiler and I just can’t bring myself to see it in the theaters. If the gang reviews it I will make the effort. Spoilers or not... I don’t think this thing has been ruined for me. It’s unbelievable

That show was insane! I’m excited for others to hear it.

Harry’s ex-wife has asked him do one small favor: to get a parcel from her apartment - without telling him what's in it. Harry instead finds a dead body and ends up with a device that is worth quite a bit to some thugs. With the help from a rookie Private investigator, Rebecca, together they try to figure out what kind of game is being played. ...just never talk about the dinosaur in the room. Okay that was the best I could do to describe this movie. I found it by accident on Amazon prime and all I can say is just watch it. It stars Michael Keaton, Rae Dawn Chong, Joe Pantoliano and Meat Loaf. It is pretty obvious that everyone wants to forget this movie was ever made. According to IMDB It cost $22 million to make and it made $2million, a stunt man died making the film and look at the poster! I could go on... do you like volcanoes exploding at a night club, watching Michael Keaton escape probably 6 drownings, an honest commentary on American greed and (I’ll bring it up) even dinosaurs?? Then you need to watch this movie! Seriously I don’t know if I care if this movie ever gets picked, I just need to share it with somebody. Enjoy.

Episode 202 - Look Who's Talking Now (w/ Conan O’Brien)
KellStarr replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I wanted to mention the 2nd opinion where the reviewer calls the movie a “show”... my grandma calls all media “shows” and despite the number of times we call them movies, she consistently calls them shows. So there is precedent for this term and my grandma is a really sweet lady -
It’s the perfect Thanksgiving movie... as it actually takes place over Thanksgiving. Liam Neeson has a particularly set of skills... he just can’t remember them. It’s not particularly bonkers but it is bad. One odd part of the movie is that you’re expecting Liam Neeson to kick tons of ass except he is constantly just standing by and watching others do his work. There is a decent twist but it is very slow to get there. The only saving grace is that it could set up a Liam Neeson cinematic action movie universe. Worth a watch if you’re bingeing his film

Ha! I was at the live Look who’s Talking too and there’s a good reason for the third one!
