I read a long time ago that after Bakshi saw what the studio was doing to the movie, he told the animators to just draw whatever they thought was funny.

Understandable. I've only seen American Pop once with friends which they loved but I didn't. Cool World has a place in my heart because I saw it when I was a kid sneakily watching late night cable. It was too bizarre to look away from and felt like I was seeing some sort of anomaly I wasn't meant to. Plus the soundtrack. Who knows if the original idea for the movie before all the interference would have been better.

Mods, please feel free to edit if I messed anything up, I was just so excited (I Kermit flailed) because we're finally getting Cool World! ::DJ airhorns:: You can also watch Cool World through Tubi. A part of me still feels like the initial Sonic trailer was a scam and intentionally bad to drum up outrage/press/general interest and the final product always existed.

The Last Witch Hunter (2015)

::bump:: I think they'd have a fantastic time with this. -

If they are in need of a replacement, Vin's The Last Witch Hunter (2015) is available on through Tubi and I would imagine most library services, and it's pretty darn great. -
Episode 236.5 — Prequel to Episode 237

It should have been retconned to a brother and sister. Just leave romance out entirely, especially since Green Goblin wasn't great at it. -

All I remember from Valerian is that the cold open(?) on the pearl planet bummed me out, the invisible swap meet, and that they cast two people who could easily pass for brother and sister as the romantic leads. -
"...the sequel to the video blockbuster Munchies..." In what world?

Episode 232 — The Adventures of Pinocchio: LIVE!

You should, and there's plenty of fun things to do off-Strip, especially if you like hiking (easy, moderate, or difficult). I think it's close enough already as well, but apparently they still want to move closer. I think they said around Mandalay Bay? Who knows if it'll actually happen though (I hope not). -

I love that place, I got pretty good at the Stargate machine when I used to go. I love the two Mario Bros. machines as well even though I'm terrible at them. If it's Mario it's fun no matter the outcome. Last year or so they said it was going to move closer to or on the Strip, which would be a bummer for me (even though it would be closer to my house), but better for business and the tourists, but it hasn't happened yet. -
I love this movie!

Episode 232 — The Adventures of Pinocchio: LIVE!

I think Geppetto's day job was the janitor at the puppet theatre? If not maybe he was the village dentist, and Pinocchio was going to be an office puppet. -

Also a pinball machine. This movie just solidified why I never liked any version of Pinocchio as a kid. Though my something nice: I think Bebe Neuwirth and (begrudgingly) Rob Schneider did a fantastic job as the Cat and Fox. I got who they were supposed to be immediately, and Felinet did act cat-like even without the Cat Woman purring. That's it. I deeply hated this movie other than that. Also Gigi you did a great job! -
Double Dragon is available to stream on Tubi. It also streams through my heart 24/7.

I think I've seen this movie thirtysomething times, but I never remember literally anything from it or who was in it other than The Rock. Anytime I see it playing on cable I'll watch, thinking maybe this time I'll retain something from it, but I never do. I never do.

Episode 226 - Body of Evidence: LIVE!
muttnik replied to SlidePocket's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I've never gotten why the elevator door opens and closes at the end of this scene. I always forget how this movie ends and assume someone important sees them screwing or that it'll be crucial to the plot but no, just phantom doors opening and closing. Maybe it's the phantom person who keeps cluing Julianne Moore into Dafoe's whereabouts. -
For sure. A lot of women's perfume for me falls into either floral, baby powder, musk, or middle school bathroom which is a hodgepodge of all three. Oh man, durian. I'd heard so much about it but had never experienced it until a couple of years ago. I was grabbing some cream wafer cookies at my local Asian market and noticed they'd started carrying the durian flavor. So I bought a package (along with my usual packages of taro, coconut, and strawberry), got home, and then was assaulted by the smell. The smell. There was no way to know before I opened the wrapper what awaited me. It was like breaking the seal on an ancient king's tomb; curses and reanimated bodies and all. But surely the taste would make up for it! Nope. Durian is just not for me. And maybe the real thing would be, not artificial cream sandwiched in a cookie, but I'm not dying to find out. I put the rest of the cookies in two, TWO Ziplock bags (the smell permeated through both of them), and tossed them in our outside garbage can. That garbage can smelled like rancid death for days after the city emptied it.

Oh yeah, it's a whole thing, haha. There was also an SNES version of the board game that I played quite a lot since it had a single-player human option.

Speaking of Clue, did anyone else read the book series in the 90s? I used to love them, even if they were pretty silly.

I have the same fear. I had an eye exam earlier this year and the optometrist's assistant started sneezing while I was in the room. She told me it was a seasonal allergy unrelated to me, and I could just barely smell what I was wearing, but I immediately assumed she was lying to be nice/professional and I was triggering her allergies, and I felt like garbage the rest of the day. Jason Lives is pretty good, although I don't know if I'd say it's the best of the series. I'm partial to 4, but I think I like the first four and then six and seven equally.

Oh, no worries! Yeah, I constantly check that site when it comes to horror because I'm tired of animals "dying" for no real reason or way too graphically in addition to eye gore. That is an interesting idea, you may be onto something. It seems like a lot more American horror movies these last few years have upped the eye violence too.

Budgetary issues aside, I wish they'd at least tried to throw a few more non-humanoid aliens in. Head in a Jar and Green Guy were pretty much the only sci-fi guys.

The library district I belong to has local art displayed all year long, there's always something new when I'm there. Stop sleeping on your libraries!

Whew, just Wiki'd the plot and yikes.
