Heard an ad for Fresh Air today saying James Franco was going to be interviewed about 'The Disaster Artist'. I'll post the link to the episode when it airs. Aaaand here we are: https://www.npr.org/2017/12/06/568728129/james-franco-tackles-a-hollywood-story-unlike-any-other-in-disaster-artist Or on the Fresh Air podcast.

Wow, Paul abandoned Cameron H on that ep. Poor guy is going to die on his Neil Diamond love hill alone.

Episode 176 - The Jazz Singer: LIVE!
SeaSkunk replied to Elektra Boogaloo's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Every time June said 'minstrel' I heard it as 'menstrual' and at first I thought she was talking about a part of the movie I missed by turning it off half way. The only time in this movie that Neil Diamond seemed less than cardboard was when he was singing. -
Yes, I didn't mean to be insensitive. I was just questioning when the entertainment industry decided it was time to acknowledge black face was offensive.
-
When did black face become too offensive for movies? I know this is a remake of a 1930s era movie, but did that grandfather in black face or was it still okay? I guess there are always exceptions...

What's going to work? Teamwork!

Maybe he manages to fit all those hats under his giant Cardinal's hat.

It's called vertical integration people! We need our cloning facilities and evil antibody experiments to be done by the same entity in the same building. Think of all the money we could save by eliminating redundancies. Quick, someone whip up a cost benefit analysis.

It looked like she was fighting with swords that had no hilt. Just gripping them by the blade, which seems insane. (Were her guns the hilt?) Maybe one of her super powers is making poor choices. Enhanced lack of common sense.
-
Good call! I think I was confusing it with hemophage with hemophile. Well, if getting blood on you is bad, getting blood blood must be even worse?
-
Did they ever explain why the infected people are called hemophages? Do they need more blood than others for some reason? Do they crave blood? Calling them vampires makes sense even if they just have elongated canines and sun sensitivity, but why hemophage? Maybe they planned to answer that in the blood supply scene at the movie open but never got around to it...

I do wish to know how people are adding gifs and pictures to their posts. The forum doesn't seem to want me to. And I can't add a profile picture. Also, when is my victory parade to the cross shaped headquarters?

This forum is a confusing place...

If this was at least based on a comic book I could forgive the erratic jumps in storytelling as the director assuming watchers had read the books.
-
I was hoping it would be kind of fun like Underworld or Resident Evil, but this is just bad.

Heh, space cadet. In the future, do they no longer have surveillance cameras? They should have been able to track and monitor Jason just through that. And how did only about half of the people on the ship get the message that they were in an emergency situation. Have they also lost the ability to make PA announcements or use walky talkies? They also seem to have a very poorly lit cargo bay with many sharp objects, weapons, and ammo on this ship that's on a vague, undefined mission. Really we needed June on this episode to ask the hard "What's it's mission?" questions.
-
I wondered about that too. It seems like there would be some sort of auto docking protocol or accident avoidance on the spaceship (like self driving cars are aiming for). Or even having people dock off to the side so that if they miss, they don't careen into the middle of a space station and cause catastrophic failures/explosions. I would argue that the same thing could happen today with a jet liner crashing into an airport or other building. But these people are in, what I assume, is a somewhat moveable space station (with 3 dimensions to take advantage of when maneuvering).

Any theories on why the ants rebuilt him like that? And it raises some questions about whether they were not only able to rebuild the brain, but also the memories. Or does Jason just have a murdery brain? Nature vs Nurture.
-
The sleeping bag kill was my favorite part. I love sleeping bags. More people should have premarital sex or be killed in them. From IMDB:
-
Plus all those people he killed on Solaris by murdering the ship captain causing the crash. (Which makes the kill count of "over 200" on Earth cited by Rowan earlier look pathetic.)
-
Do I need to binge watch the 11 movies before Jason X to understand the plot/characters without getting lost? Also, do you think June feels the same way about spaceships as she does about planes (as discussed in the Con Air Force One episode)?
-
Congrats! If you support segregation, you can get mentioned in several mini eps, right Cameron?
-
Methinks someone doth protest too much. Hypothetically, would you consider (apparent) use of eight tracks to hold each character profile in a VR program to be a good plan? Are they going to make a comeback like records? It was interesting how SID's program only needed one eight track. Was the Geisha eight track just as detailed as him? 600+ geishas profiled...

I reacted to the break up with less decorum than Pimento. It was so sudden! It was like they quickly needed to write Zooks out of the show for some reason. Complete about face on the relationship even in the episode.

Who wore it better: Bruce Lee, Uma Thurman, or Leroy Green? https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/b4/1d/42/b41d42f5ed942613e324eb2198a12aaa.jpg PS - Does anyone have a copy of that Betty White holding an urn picture?
