good grief this was an excellent episode. brett saying "we're entering some turmoil" made me laugh very hard and my coworker gave me a weird look.

i'd like to dig further into the deadpool-type-character-appearing-in-various-periods-of-art concept that they were discussing for a moment. i've always seen deadpool as an arlecchino from commedia dell'arte. think about it! his katana is a nice substitute for the traditional slapstick, deadpool wears a mask much like arlecchino does, both are as horny as all get out, and they're both complete pranksters that routinely break the fourth wall! i will concede that deadpool's bright red suit is more similar to a typical pantalone than any arlecchino i've seen, but otherwise the comparison holds water!
