I was explaining to my mother that I'm sort of growing to like Phish simply because I like this podcast so much and I associate the songs with the jokes. I explained that I tried to listen to one of the songs outside of the context of the podcast and immediately hated it. I played that song (Farmhouse) for her. Her response After 30 seconds "This is a real song?" After 45 seconds "They make money?" After 1 minute "Oh for god sakes turn that off!"

It's interesting that Harris says that only girls liking Bouncing Around the Room, as it is the only Phish song that I can stomach. And I am a girl. And honestly, I only like about 4 measures of it, but that's about all I could possibly stomach of Phish. I wonder what it is about that song and girls.

Episode — Earwolf Challenge Epilogue

I like to listen to this song whenever I get overwhelmed or hurt or doubtful or feel insignificant or misunderstood. Each and every one of us on this thread could probably use it. If anyone wants to call me a pussy, know that I'm already acutely aware of this fact. But I mean, if you don't like this song, you're missing out on a great feeling. -
Well now, if we're going to post 2 Drive songs on here, it wouldn't hurt to post more, huh? DRIVE IS THE BEST!

Congratulations ladies! You look lovely!

Episode 10.3 — The Final Challenge: Day 3

Congratulations to Totally Laime! Goodbye to Earwolf Challenge Season One! - I had a somewhat unique experience with this show because not only am I a GIANT podcasting nerd, but the results directly affect my life as a member of the Earwolf team. In order to do my work, I would get all 3 of the week's shows at once, usually around midnight on Saturday, and I listened to all three immediately no matter what. I've been super invested and have listened to AT LEAST one full episode of each podcast since The Challenge began (I listened to every episode of Left Handed Radio this weekend during a long car trip!). - We were having a business call pretty soon before The Challenge started, and I asked Frank if there were any women competing. When he told me Totally Laime was in it, I squealed. I think I might have said "Okay, cool" but what I meant was "ARE YOU KIDDING!?!?!?! I LOVE TOTALLY LAIME!!!! IT BETTER WIN!!!!" Totally Laime is one of the first podcasts I listen to every Monday (which is saying something, because a LOT of good podcasts come out on Mondays) and I genuinely feel it is a special show that a lot of people will truly come to love. - So, congratulations Totally Laime. I'm so pumped for you to be on Earwolf. The Little Dum Dum Club: You have a subscriber in me, and from the looks of it, many other listeners. Best of luck to Tommy when he does Comedy Bang Bang at UCB. I would NOT have been upset to see you guys win. Eat some Tim Tams for me (I exhausted my list of Australian references a long time ago). You guys are true dickheads (am I using that term correctly?). - Lastly, as everyone else has said, thanks SO much to Matt Besser. Do you guys realize that we've gotten a 3 hour comedy class from one of the "founder-ers" of UCB every single week?!??? It's been amazing, and I'm already having withdrawal. -

I have to use my one post to post this: It was one of Elizabeth's first voice acting gigs (she talked about it on....I forget which episode of TL). It's the best, right? -

Cakebob, if you right click the link and say "save as" it'll save it as an MP3 on your computer. Then you can go into iTunes and "add file to library." If you have any more questions or that doesn't work, let me know.

I think that anyone using American Idol as a benchmark of "fair" probably hasn't done much research into the process of choosing contestants for that show. There really is not a more un-fair competition/reality show on television. - " It was cleverly (?) crafted in a sensationalist way as to make it sound as if anyone that would even suggest there were forces at play beyond the surface was a 'conspiracy theorist' and should be discounted." ^You give Jeff too much credit. I love him dearly, but his involvement in Earwolf has nothing to do with cleverness, either achieved or attempted. Listen to The Wolf Den. You'll not find a more sincere individual who is open to whatever anyone has to throw his way. He's the least scheming person on the planet.

Mark, all your posts insinuate that there are two camps of listeners, people who are obsessively in love with Totally Laime and people who despise them (you've made it clear what camp you're in). I know when you dislike something with so much gusto it's hard to imagine, but some people like Totally Laime AND like Left Handed Radio or The Little Dum Dum Club. Truth is, the podcast has a lot of fans. Look at the positive feedback on iTunes or it's frequent inclusion in Splitsider's Top Comedy Podcast lists. I appreciate that you don't like it, but try to keep in mind that it isn't as polarizing for everyone else. There are definitely podcasts I subscribe to and enjoy but I don't go around swearing my allegiance to. Podcasts are a very subjective thing, and when almost every post includes something mindlessly hateful towards Totally Laime listeners, it makes it hard for people to respect what you have to say.

I hope everyone uses their angry-energy to go to iTunes, subscribe to Left Handed Radio, and leave it positive reviews. - I, too, was upset with this week's judgement but I really really liked all 3 of the remaining competitors and would have been sad to let any of them go. I listened to Totally Laime before The Challenge, but LHR and LDDC have made their way into my iTunes forever. - Fortunately, as Dave Anthony said, a podcast does NOT need to be on a network to exist or to be absolutely great. If you are upset that LHR won't get the exposure that they would have on Earwolf, I say use that feeling to become LHR's biggest advocate and to tell all your friends about it. Blog about it. Post links on Facebook and Twitter. - Since when has the winner of a reality show been the most successful one to emerge? I think that both Totally Laime and The Little Dum Dum Club would make great additions to Earwolf, but no matter what happens I can still listen to whatever I want.
