I liked Il Mare a lot... In the Korean version they don't mention the female lead's father AT ALL, but in the remake THEY JUST HAD to include the fact that Sandra's father died and also added that whole sentimental thing about the book she got from her dad and forgot in the train station, so that when Keanus dad dies she can feel bad for him. As to say that she couldn't possibly feel anything for him unless her father had previously died too.

WARNING LONG POST!!! (The internet was down because a power outage all day right after I finished listening to the episode...) Me neither... That movie was released a year after Lake House (L.H. in 2006 and Premonition in 2007) and her co-star was Julian McMahon so Sandra had fake relationships with the 2 plastic surgeons from Nip/Tuck in a 1 or 2 year span ♪Make me beautiful♪ And also that time Boots and Keanu where in the pickup truck and Jack breaks them off by running away to Morgan's house right when Boots was heavily coming on to him. Jack is pulling the strings for sure. My theory is that when the movie starts there where changes already made in a timeline we don't see (Paw prints & box, keanu kissing kate (maybe), kate getting the lake house key somehow, keanu dying going to meet kate on valentines day) and during the movie the timeline (2nd one???) changes again. (the scarf, keanu kissing kate, the tree, keanu's dad memoirs, the dinner reservation, the book in the floorboard of Sandras apartment, Keanu saved creating a 3rd timeline) That or the entire movie is just a big time paradox mess. Taking it a step back... You guys and girls know how the seven days of the week shift to diferent calendar days in each year right? (1 day ahead if the following year is not a leap year and 2 days after february has ended if the following year is a leap year). So if Sandra is touring/walking in the city during any saturday of 2006 after the month of february has ended, that means its the same date for Keanu in 2004 but 2 week days prior, so while Sandra was out on a Saturday, Keanu was out on a Thursday and must of skipped work just to deface/vandalize that wall.

THAT WAS ONE OF MY NOTES!!! (I'm currently writing a long post right now...) But It could be that nobody noticed a mistake and had to dub that line via ADR to correct it or the fact that maybe because the movie was probabbly shot in 2005 they originally used 2003 and 2005 or something. It also happened in Hot Tub Time Machine 2 when the movie premiere was delayed from December 2014 to February 2015 they had to add a year to the story and ADR lines (Kumail is the most clear example of this)

I agree 100%, and not only that, they also win with people when they sell the DVD/BluRay/Digital Copy that comes with anniversary/restored/UHD/extended/unrated/directors cut deleted scenes and extras so everyone and their mother feels more and more inclined to double dip and buy old and new movies for a few more seconds/mins of runtime or more violence/sex or a different ending... Wow Epic Link Fister! My head hurts just thinking about the people tasked to take those stats. lol I can't say if your doubts are founded or not, but what I can say is that for me the action was/action scenes where perfect and where made with great quality(ies)... I only had problems with the tone a couple of scenes, one plot point, and a lackluster performance (that sorta picked up steam near the end) and (If we are being real picky, maybe) I had a problem with one (1) CGI effect My veredict 8 is better than 6 (Can't say if its better than 5 or 7 because I have only seen it once) Just one tip If you care about the franchise and hate spoilers... Avoid (if you can) social media and IMDB Cast section and any article on F8 because the spoilers are out there but they are going to spread in the following days

Sorry for double post, But... Coming Out of the theatre from "F8 of the Furious"!!! F. Gary Gray didn't miss a beat... This is "Grade A" HDTGM material!!! If you have free time this next few days and $15-$20 in your pocket and are a F&F and/or HDTGM fan do yourself a favor and... GO AND SEE F8! Don't Miss It and don't get spoiled! It Just Hit Me!!! What if they do an Emergency Podcast Episode of FF8 much like "Sharknado 1"??? A guy can dream... Also, I was revisiting the FF7 HDTGM episode and one guy made a question and totally called Charlize Theron being on FF8. I'm saying its 50% her role as Furiosa in "Mad Max: Fury Road" and 50% that she has worked with director F. Gary Gray 14 years ago in "The Italian Job" (2003 Remake) so its a reunion of sorts with her and also with Jason "Handsome Rob" Statham.

I'm watching the 2h8min58sec BluRay version right now and just realised that 4 years ago the version that I saw (DVD I think 1h41min50sec) did not include the "Happiest Home In These Hills" song (The scene is the same and they get all muddy but the parts where they sing are removed) and the "I Saw a Dragon" song is edited and the scene ends after the close up of the horses teeth out the window and then cuts/fades away to the going back to the lighthose scene so the barrel rolls and the beer rain part of the scene does not happen

I got my ticket and I'm going tomorrow... I dislike getting spoiled online SO MUCH! Some context... I googled "HumbleBrag" and that comic popped up and I tought it was funny

That explains a lot about why we now think this movie is long/longer and I also think that the Online & HD & BluRay versions of this move are the full un-edited versions except for maybe the "Candle on the Water" song that plays during the opening credits but in instrumental version

"Iron Man 2" (that last fight scene was TOO quick amongst other things) and "Thor: The Dark World" (plesedon'tkillme) are the weakest for me. Maybe it is because a friend spoiled Thor 2 before I got to see it, but who knows... He didn't rely on the suit during long parts of "Iron Man 3" (A movie that people seem to hate and I love more than one and two) and also there was "The Clean Slate Protocol" and when he just had that watch glove thing during the Bucky escape scene in Civil War

I remember seeing this movie in english like 4 years ago, Like I said in another post most (if not all) of the Disney movies that I saw as a kid where dubbed in spanish and they change the songs and some of the meaning (For example the "Frozen" song "Let It Go" is changed to "Libre Soy" or "I'm am Free" in latin america so you get the idea) I'm trying to make time to re-watch Pete's Dragon '77 this week so I can talk about it but so far I agree that this movie that kids love is charged and dark in a way that makes us doubt why we liked it so much when we where younger... Is it a case of ignorance is bliss? If we knew then what we know now would we have liked it the same, less or more? Will these questions be answered here? Stay tuned folks... That's the one with the boy from "Room" right? Is it good enough that you recommend I watch it before years end? (My schedule is full this week )

I was watching Fast Five, Furious 6 and FF7 ( And after that I plan to also watch The Italian Job (2003) ) to prepare for next week's Fate of the Furious premiere... But I stopped before finishing part 7 and re-watched "The Lake House" and then (for the first time) the original korean version "Il Mare" The original korean movie is so much better by itself, and even more in comparison with the 2006 remake. The crazy thing is that the changes they made for the Sandy/Keanu remake were minor but they change the tone, pacing, and quality of the movie overall. Good news is the complete Korean movie is on YouTube subtitled and uploaded by the user Sherwin Busano on august 14 2013, the second to last video uploaded by him after "Customs 8 Presentation 2014" ( I want to post the direct link, but I do not wish to get in any kind of trouble with Dan Engler ) Got my notes ready and a new set of trivia and CRAZY stuff I found online for next fridays episode CAN'T WAIT!

1st of all... I got here because in the miniepisode thread taylorannephoto posted about Cam Bert and The Lake House and now that I clicked and post here for the 1st time Its like a new world has been opened (A world that I now know began and has been around since December 2016 when Fister Roboto posted the Musical Mondays thread because of a Cameron H suggestion) 2. I don't consider myself much of a "Musicals" guy and its not because I dislike them or anything I think its because I live in Venezuela and I was not exposed to musical theatre growing up and I've just made a quick google search and if I don't count animated Disney films because they dub them and change the songs ("Frozen" is my favourite of those) "Enchanted" and "This is Spinal Tap" are the 2 musical movies I know and love (I wish this does not bumb you guys and girls out) but all of that does not mean I suddenly can't get 100% into musicals from now on thanks to this forum game 3. WOW!!! So good to hear about the Cameron H, Cake BugTranch Meet-Up 4.
