As a Venezuelan I feel obligated to reverse-engineer this review that the gang had a hard time undestanding and correctly re-translate it back to basic english... Here I Go!: "I was a fan of the first MK video game when it came out, I remember playing it on my Intel 386 PC. When the movie was announced, I almost got an orgasm, and when it came out (on VHS and many many years later on DVD) I saw the movie once and then another time, and another. In fact, while making an interstate bus trip, I convinced the girl that attends the passengers to screen the movie during the trip (yup, I always carried the tape with me). One day, the tape broke. yup, I saw the movie more than a 100 times and the overused tape broke. I cried a lot that day and I still keep the broken tape with me. When the movie came out on DVD, I was ubber happy and I bought it, until my house got burgled. They broke into my house and took my DVD player, with the MK disc inside. Of course, I bought it again and even today, with its lame FX compared with current movies, I still enjoy this movie a lot. About the movie, well, what can I say that has not been said already?. Decent performances, decent FX, great combat scenes, awesome techno metal music and lots of fun for MK fans. That's it, but if you are not a MK fan, you will dislike this movie, and if you like MK even a little, you will enjoy seeing all of you favorite characters come to life, even if some of them are a little disappointing in the movie, like Shang Tsung and Sonya. I have some complaints, and maybe this could be considered a spoiler, Kano does almost nothing and dies early on, Raiden doesn't even fight, Sonya was under used and let's not talk about Kitana. But the Liu Kang fights where great (spoiler again), the fight against Zub Zero was awesome. The wall-walking and backward wall jumping is nothing new but watching Zub Zero doing it is just so cool. And the one against Reptile, well, is indeed the best fight of the movie, so full of action, such great music, that it makes you want to punch somebody, in a good way. XD The ending was great too, and when I saw it I was stunned to learn that there was a sequel. But I must say... STAY AWAY FROM ANNIHILATION. Only buy it If you collect everything that is MK, but DON'T WATCH IT! Because it will make you want to punch somebody, but in the worst way possible. I was happy when I bought the DVD and saw that it had spanish subtitles because, as you must know by now reading my review, my english stinks (but not as much as MK2: Annihilation) I only buy DVD's that have spanish subtitles so is like some divinity wants me to save my money, the MK2 movie doesn't have spanish subtitles and I really can't remember what I did with my VHS tape, I want to believe that I threw it out the window. " I tried my best... P.S.: The part when he says that he convinced a bus attendant to play the Mortal Kombat movie for everybody in the bus to see did not surprise me at all... One time my mother and brother (he was 10 at the time) got on a bus and the movie they played was "The Devil's Advocate" (or "El Abogado Del Diablo" in spanish) and there where kids and small children in the bus... Now I'm starting to think that the MK guy somehow was also responsible for ruining my brother's childhood that time... Only In Venezuela.

I think that the "joke" would work if it was couples therapy and the woman was the girlfriend or the wife of the snowman and the therapist says to her that her troubles will "melt away" come spring... -
Episode 80.5 — Minisode 80.5
IMAHUGEHDTGMFAN replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
( If this is TOO unrelated I will post this in the Bad Movie Recommendations section of the forum if I'm asked to do so... ) Only the 1st "Resident Evil" movie is some what good... The others are, like Jason's favourite word... GARBAGE. But IMHO The "Max Payne (2008)" movie with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis is one of the worst (if not the worse) video game -to- movie adaptations EVER!!! Because they changed stuff that made it almost unwatchable for me... I'll scratch the surface with what I really ticks me off about this movie... *Acording to various entertainment outlets Mark didn't play the game (Some say that he wanted to create his own character others say that he did not want to get addicted to the game). *The main illegal drug in the "Max Payne" game and movie is called "Valkyr" and the logo/tag for it is a letter "V" with a syringe that throughout the game and movie you can see in the walls as graffiti... In the movie they kept the logo but because of its PG-13 rating instead of injecting the drug they just drink it like gatorade... *They changed the gender of Max's child from a baby girl to a baby boy ( I thought that in the game Max had a more "daddy's little baby girl" relationship and I liked that ). *For a movie based on a game that is built around the "Bullet-Time Mechanic" I only counted 3 or 4 sequences where they used it in the whole movie. *In the first 2 games New York is the setting where the story takes place, but they filmed the movie in Canada (OK ok thats nitpicking but still...). *In the game the character Mona Sax has a twin sister Lisa Sax ( "Mona Lisa" get it??? ) but i the movie they are NOT twins and the sister is not named Lisa. *In the game Max is an Undercover DEA cop/agent, In the movie he is a detective in the cold case division (BO-RING!). I can only dream of the day they make an episode of that movie... -

Episode 80 — Jack Frost: LIVE!
IMAHUGEHDTGMFAN replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I just know I won't be able to go to bed tonight until someone posts the link to the Amazon.com review that Paul did not print out because he didn't want to upset June... Oh Well... And for those of you who don't know... (And hopefully for the "Corrections & Omissions" segment in a future mini-episode ) As of March 1989 Warner Bros.(Time Warner) owns DC Comics and since then every DC Comic Super Hero movie is released by Warner Bros. Pictures... Even "Green Lantern" ( http://en.wikipedia....ime_Warner_unit http://en.wikipedia....ed_on_DC_Comics ) My guess is that since they own the rights to Batman and Superman it didn't cost them anything to put the Batman-headed Superman action figure in the film... P.S.: This episode was gold!!! -
This episode MUST be made...

House at the End of the Street
IMAHUGEHDTGMFAN replied to EndlessMike's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
This has to be an episode!!! If not before the end of 2013, then make it in 2014... -
I'll try to keep this short... I liked this movie very much and I found that the redemption theme is the key of the whole thing ( If you repent and change your ways before you die you can find what you are looking for ) I have shown this movie to friends and family and nobody has liked it... THAT IS ALL...

This movie premiered in Venezuelan theaters 2 years after it came out... I saw it in 2008 and after I came out of the cinema I went and bought the DVD that was widely available by that time...

http://twitter.com/nundercoverfilm "Not Jason Mantzoukas" opened a twitter account for the film... http://twitter.com/nundercover This account was taken by a Thai person...

That's also an epic idea... And at the end of each episode we show our N-Undercover confessing all the sins that she committed in that episode. I.E.: "Forgive me, Father for I have sinned! I killed 10 and lied and cursed and worst of all... I said the Lord's name in vain..." http://www.facebook....112041552195343 (Check out other titles for the Nundercover sequels in the comments lol)

You are right... I'm listening at work and had to attend a customer and totally missed that... I'll edit the original post

Episode 74 — Halloween III: Season of the Witch
IMAHUGEHDTGMFAN replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
No guest on this episode and no Michael Myers in "Halloween III: Season of the Witch" Coincidence or conspiracy or... BOTH!!!??? -
Wow This movie takes me back... I remember the first time I wached it in the mid-'90 when they showed it on Cinemax and I never saw it again until recently... Back then I was not aware of Alex Winter and the "Bill & Ted" Movies ( I can't imagine what "Bill & Ted" fans felt when they watched "Freaked" ) I personally liked it... I want to see it again so I can figure out how my 27 year old self feels about it... One of my favorite scenes is the reveal of Alex Winters character at the end when they turn on the talk show studio lights... hahaha If HDTGM makes an episode of "Freaked" I will be happy
