  1. Jeff, I've never heard this podcast but I did want to pipe in and tell you how much I love Earwolf and all the great work you do. To see you engage with these folks (even in an admittedly hurt manner) is more than any of us should expect considering the ground-breaking high quality work we see from Earwolf. You've done a shit ton of work with this thing, it's amazing to think that just two years ago CDR was a new show, now CBB is the flagship of a dozen spinoffs (or branch-offs, or tree-dick-offs if Lil Gary is correct) each unique and special.

Keep up the great work. I apologize for the unabashed fanboy response here, but you guys bust your ass every day to provide me with outstanding free entertainment, and I hope you know how much we appreciate it. If this comment isn't proof enough, I did order a $20 Wolf Dead tee shirt... anyone who knows me would not believe that I spent more than ten bucks on any shirt, so make of that what you will.

  2. I used to not like Bob Odenkirk because the only thing I could associate him with was "Thumb Wars" and other thumb-related movies. Then I heard him on Comedy Death-Ray and realized he's actually funny now. This week's Who Charted proves that he gets funnier the more often he appears on Earwolf podcasts, so keep on Odenkirking it up.

I also enjoy Breaking Bad but that's more to my meth nostalgia than anything.

  3. Does it do any good for me to pop in here and comment on how much I love this podcast? Just great stuff, I love the way you guys are really developing your voices and getting a good groove going with the callbacks and routines.

As usual, I was recommending people to listen to podcasts today, and Professor Blastoff was the first one I suggested, and then "Comedy Bang-Bang if you want more lighthearted comedy"... congrats, guys, apparently you've slipped past CBB (and Weewee) as my favorite.

  4. I can't wait for the Jessica Fletcher's ghost movie.

Wait, is that joke from this show or CBB? Once again, a cross-themeing with Professor Blastoff and another Earwolf podcast. I love it! Dom Deluise's ghost loves it! Burt Reynolds' future ghost also seems to love it in the background.

If any ghost is going to rattle cheese, it's Dom Deluise.

  5. I loved Dave's story about doing psychedelics in the woods and how his perception was based upon his mood. And then the next day, just boring nature. I couldn't think of a better way of describing the LSD experience.

Professor Blastoff, you're giving Who Charted and CBB a run for their money for my favorite podcast!

  6. I was going to make some smart-assed remark about the use of "loose" in the podcast description (Perhaps Bob suffers from unnecessary vowel doubling syndrome) but then I listened to the woeful tale of Bob's flatulent escapades (not to mention debilitating dislike of travel) and decided I could overlook his misspelling.

I have a question for Bob. Is there a name for the illness where you say "I was going to do such-and-such but" and then turn around and do just what you implied you wouldn't do? Because looking at the first paragraph I wrote there I think I need a name to approach my doctor with. Also I want to see if it makes me eligible for medical marijuana.

  7. Ragnar, I appreciate David's sense of wonder and open-ness. Although I do tend to agree with the scientific explanation, that doesn't mean I don't believe there's a possibility that science has gotten it wrong. They have before, plenty of times, and sure enough we will again.

Part of the fun of Prof. Blastoff is the discussion of the possibility that things like ghosts exist, or parallel universes are out there, or psychic powers, aliens, whatever... stuff that science can't conclusively prove one way or another, things that have persisted over time and are just fun to think about.

To be fair, I am infuriated when people suggest that the science is "inconclusive" on global warming, and I won't deny that my argument is basically the same thing. Also, your James Adomian character suggestion is hilarious.

  8. I love how you guys discuss all of the awesome things my friends and I used to talk about when we did a lot of acid in the early nineties. Although if I am remembering things right, you guys are really falling short when it comes to accompanying your discussion with orange juice consumption, firework and glostick enjoyment, and chain-smoking. Get with the program Earwolf, this is the sort of thing the experts would notice!

  9. Setting Li'l Gary aside, I think I'd have to say that Harris Wittels is the most underappreciated guest in the history of Scottobot's podcast. Harris' Phone/Foam Corner is one of the greatest "unfunny" bits ever, I still get a huge grin on my face thinking of his previous appearances and the awkward reception of his comedy.

Gelman's appearances are funny too but their controversial nature works great with the infrequency. One can only be banned for life so many times in a year. Plus, there's plenty of Brett to go around on Eagle Heart.

  10. Great episode, Blastoff team. I love the expert being there... he not only brought some specialized experience to the table, he also made the silliness of the hosts seem even funnier. Who would have thought a brainy-pants doctor would serve as the straight man in an hilarious comedy routine? Someone get Bob Newhart on the phone!

Hilarious comedic commentary aside, I <3 Professor Blastoff and am really excited that the show gets better and better with each episode. Good one.
