Thought I'd get out of watching this but managed to dig up a purloined copy...I think there were a TON of intended jokes but not a single one that got even a grin out of me. Quaid might've gotten the closest. The fact this bombed so bad somewhat restores my faith in humanity until Sandler's next one does well at the BO....Interesting to note that while the director managed to go into television, this was apparently the last thing the writer every did in Hollywood.

I remember enjoying the subtle de-evolution and shroom references (Mojo Nixon!) as a very stoned grad-skool dropout...Definitely be a fun one to do!

Saw about half of this on a plane last week (the airline was also featuring former HTFDTGM flicks Abduction, Twilight Breaking Dawn and The Tourist (under the (WTF!) category of "Classics"))...You're right, Sandler seemed to sleepwalk through it although he did make a bit more of an effort for the Jill role. The first scene with Pacino and Johnny Depp is a black hole of humor so I am curious to see the rest to see how bad Pacino embarrasses himself... ETA: I think Swardson might have had a line with the only laugh I could muster...Or maybe it was Norm McD - but Sandler even sucked the funny out of him...

Great, great episode...Love Pete Holmes, loved the new feature of reading those ridiculous lines. This movie was full of them and probably the only way to watch it is with friends and riffing off the absurd lines...My favorite has to be when he is trying to convince the cop to give him 10 more minutes: Cop: I know how you operate...It's no secret your a womanizer, you drink too much...How do I know that you haven't gone completely over the edge? Yeah...it's only a short hop-skip-jump from boozing womanizer to perverted copy cat killer... Silly pet peeve: For a wine con-o-sewer (that Vosne Romanee on the table goes for a couple hundred), he is swigging wine holding the glass around the bowl and not the stem...

Yeah it looks like he cops a few feels...He hugs and kisses every woman in the film and they all seem to worship him, which must be the only reason he did this confusing and lacuna o'logic flick. Pacino looks like he fell asleep in the tanning chamber and was suddenly roused to appear on camera...If you dare watch, be forewarned: there are gaping chasms of plotholes throughout...

So happy to have another excuse to watch this epic! It is true that it holds up to repeated viewings- or at least skipping the sex scenes and stock exteriors...Favorite scene? Just so hard to choose from the sublime flower shop to the acting tour-de-force of the final scene or the deft psychoanalysis dialogue related to the feminine mystique. I was just reading a chat with author Joe McGinniss who just published a book on Palin: I don’t present the Glen Rice story as something shocking. I was told by numerous sources that after her experience of having sex with a “black athlete” Sarah freaked out in horror and guilt. That she felt she’d done something shameful. I really feel bad for Nick Swardson and Kevin Nealon although I don't think it will be much of a blow for the latter. I don't understand how Happy Madison prods. stays in business.
