You know what I miss from the Jim Rome show that hasn't translated to Sklarbro Country? Mindless wars between fans. Anyone want to start a needless royal rumble like feud on here? Truthfully, I think it's time WAR came to Sklarbro Country.

My wife was so stoked after this movie, she just loved it. I felt like a social reject because I didn't get all the hype. I thought it was okay, but not 'this changes everything' great like everyone I knew seemed to think. And the hair sex was really...really....creepy.

I think you guys are right that it doesn't fit on this show, and there are many films that are worse in the horror genre, but come on, the second half of that movie was just strange.

The Happening - (it's never happening, but talk about it if you want)
LukeHENDERSON replied to temjeito's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Thank you to Julia for posting that video of Mark talking to the tree. I rushed out with my friends to see this movie when it came out and it was at that moment that a guy in front of just screamed out, "Jesus!". I really hope they do this film. Don't forget the math riddles in the middle of it! I truly hope my last words on this earth are a math riddle. -

James-Any movie that 'you have to read the comic book prequels to have any idea what is going on' has my vote right away. I had no idea there were even prequels in comic book form. Yikes.

This was one of my favorite lineups of all time. They played off each other so well. I love it when Paul's joke bombed and they kept needling it later. "I think you rebounded really well." Just terrific. This felt like it used to feel, just off the cuff and hilarious with the games. Hot topic was terrifically weird. What a great way to start Labor Day!

Let's all get inside Cheryl and go get pancakes! Brilliant. I agree that the show has seemed a little bland of late, this was terrific. I love Harris and think he's one of the best things going lately. One question though, where are the games at? I miss them. =(

Baby(s) woke me up early so at 4am I got to hit this episode up. I think this is one of the best in the catalog so far. I want to encourage the guys to explore some of what was going on in his episode. Listening to you talk about the possible loss of a wife's mother and not being over your own father, showed me a side of the Sklars that I really didn't know before. I'm not saying drop all the comedy or the sports, but man.....there was something there that maybe you need to explore further. Getting deeper with the guests or about the Sklars. Sorry to get all deep....but it was a really amazing episode. Thanks guys.

I am amazed by how great Andy is. My favorite still is # 74 when he's the Irish story teller. The battle between he and Jason over who should read one from the notebook is amazing.

Great episode. Being here in Denver I have to wonder why we get so much negative sports attention. Oh right. Because we do so many things that warrant it.

I don't think describing a town as 'throbbing' is ever a good idea.

That is a wonderful suggestion! Great stars, historically wonderful writer, and the most bizarre gross horrible thing. I had forgotten the shit monster. So awful.

Wow! First of all, Connect Four reference made me laugh so hard for some reason. Secondly, Aisha didn't breathe for like a half an hour. She is hilarious, just joke after joke...the boys could barely keep up. She is the third Sklar. Sklark Chocolate.

If this was a Phish show I would be in the parking lot by now, trying to get my shit together! (hilarious!!!)

I was not thrilled with the band at first, that's not my kind of music, but what they brought to the show was terrific. The way they helped flow the conversation with Brian and the boys and pitched in with the jokes and songs, was terrific. I am starting to warm to the idea of bands being there because it seems like Randy & Jason warm up and hit their marks cleaner with them there. It's stupid, but my favorite part was 'Do you speed up and hit the moose as hard as you can?' "Oh no, you don't want to hit it. You stop." lol Great episode.

I've started peppering '[phrase] fuck...or whatever" in all of my conversations. This has made working with the church Vacation Bible Study children much more rewarding, if not somewhat temporary.

I woke up today super depressed it was just another Friday, and not an excellent Monday so the next episode is out. (Sigh)

Episode 14 — Bus Ride
LukeHENDERSON replied to engineerdoug's topic in Affirmation Nation with Bob Ducca
I agree. My rich inner life is much better than my poor outer life, and someday the people on the bus will realize that through shared understanding an enlightenment or through tears and blood shed. This cleats work on more than just ice, is all I'm saying. -
I have to complain for once. During the tainted meat story, the guys were starting what seemed like a bit and then Rubin threw something out (I dozed off for a bit, as the podcast has been shown to cause drowsiness in people with child like intelligence) that derailed the joke and they never went back and finished it. I demand satisfaction! Tell the rest of the 'Mexican Outback' story!
