I was thinking it would be the reverse and be Perfect because then Death Spa could come out right before Halloween. And the ratio of studio to live has tipped way in the favor of live lately. Not that I mind, both are great, but the live episodes make me wish I was there.

I feel like we have tried to do the direct method of requesting the movie in a wildly popular thread so I have been trying to subtly mention it whenever I can in the hope that that method works better. If that doesn't work I am going to send Paul a dream catcher and a Stephen King novel as a hint hint. If that doesn't work I am going to arrange a private flight where I will secretly enter Paul's dreams to convince him that he came up with the idea.

I just wanted to use up my 1,000th post to say: Dreamcatcher

Damnit! I messed up a joke where I am sort of calling someone dumb. Who's the Ted now? And I definitely agree about Nosferatu being the best. I want to see the Werner Herzog remake with Klaus Kinski since I have heard that it is a pretty good remake.

That is fairly common for book adaptations in general. It can be hard to get around something on screen not matching up to what you picture in your head. I will say, I have hated Bram Stoker's Dracula for a long time just because it does not match up to the book, but I admit I have not seen it in a long time and would be willing to revisit it. However, it might still be hard for me to accept Theodore Logan Esquire as Jonathan Harker and Lydia Deetz as Mina.

Funny, going back to the Runaway episode I had very similar thoughts about Gene Simmons. For Simmons I thought that it might be what happens to a guy who was unpopular growing up and suddenly becomes very popular (but I don't really know his background since I have never really cared for KISS).
-
Yeah right, and next you're going to tell me that someone has already brought up that the guy that gets electrocuted in the arcade is Gus from Breaking Bad...
-
IIRC they do thank Marvel for the green goblin in the credits.

You have obviously not seen Dreamcatcher

My uneducated guess would be that it is simple, lightweight and easy to configure and that with a weapon mount it would not be meant for use in battle so much as it is for in camp protection. But with that said, why would King choose this shitty little mobile flatbed and not a humvee or tank?
-
It would have to be the Bad Lieutenant Nick Cage.

There is a phenomenon where once your brain makes sense out of something, it reapplies that same decoding to it over and over. It can be described as "once you hear it, you can't unhear it." This 50 second clip explains it better than I ever could: https://soundcloud.c...-audio-illusion Basically once you heard the n-bomb your brain kept decoding it as an n-bomb (ps does anyone know if there is a way to embed soundcloud links like youtube links?)

Cameron H. I believe you just put much much more thought into this story than King did at all stages of its development combined.
-
But that's just because we're all rich old white guys
-
In their discussion of King reworking ideas for later material they left one out: the farting scene was retooled again for a Dreamcatcher ass monster.
-
I find King's hostility to religious characters to be odd given how often he often invokes a deity himself. If you watch The Stand it is honestly a Kirk Cameron role away from being Left Behind. It has a magical bible quoting old African American woman, the denim clad devil and an appearance from the hand of god himself.

I think that the machine gun mounted army car makes a lot less sense than even the sprinklers. I am about as knowledgeable in military vehicles as June is in sharks, but I would imagine that they would mount the gun on that pole by a simple swivel with something like ball bearings. There would be nothing mechanical or electrical connecting the gun to the car. Invisible aliens would really be the only thing that would explain away everything.

Fuck. This looks like someone made a "movie" with The Sims.

So I have never been a fan of this show. I watched the first season and just wasn't into it, it had the worst plot resolution that I had ever seen and I felt like the characters were not the type of people that I would enjoy being around. It was like no matter what the problem they were up against it usually either resolved by having it been revealed that it actually wasn't a problem or that they were just so awesome that whoever they were in conflict with would just fold after a zinger and hi five between the bros. Honestly if I found out that there was an episode where the conflict was that one of the main characters (but not Drama) was too good at sex I would not be surprised at all. I had planned on letting this movie just slide through the theaters and pay it as little attention as possible, but I will admit seeing that it got a low score on Rotten Tomatoes and bombing at the box office made me feel somewhat vindicated, and I had planned on just letting it go but then I came across this pretty entertaining article on AV Club that convinced me that maybe it is HDTGM bad: http://www.avclub.com/article/jon-daly-and-wendy-molyneux-drake-why-entourage-mo-220640

I believe this settles whether or not they will do movies from people who have passed away (although Road House really should have settled it)
-
Yep, should be the next full episode.

Bad movie options- Buzzfeed's How Many Bad Movies Have You Seen?
Lando replied to GuinnessLumberjack's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I don't think Ishtar is as bad as its reputation. I think Gary Larson is largely to blame for the hate, it's not a great movie but it really should have just been forgotten to time rather than immortalized as a notoriously bad movie. Also, every time Chairman of the Board is brought up, this must be mentioned: -
Added! Yeah, we really haven't had a movie with a song in a while. I was tempted to put Walk The Dinosaur on this list, but I don't remember it in the actual movie (edit: plus the George Clinton version is already on there for Mario Bros).

It has been a controversy for a long time, but I think that the evidence has tipped the balance strongly toward warm blood more recently. IIRC Jurassic Park (at least the book) went with them being warm blooded. However, I wouldn't expect any of this to matter to the makers of Theodore Rex even today.
