And I believe that the current consensus is that Dinos were closer to birds than lizards and were warm blooded.

I got a Q on this week's episode, but I wonder if anyone has gotten both a Q and a correction in a single mini.
-
The Rock fighting Statham? Yes please.
-
I just noticed that Sean Cullen is also in this. Probably one of my least favorite DLM guests because Doug prompts him to stretch his gag of singing theme songs to movies way way way past its welcome

Hah, imagine if you could call "The X-Files" a Canadian show because a lot of the "DC" stuff was filmed in Vancouver. Hey you guys brought us Trailer Park Boys! Although I think that Netflix bought them up so are the newer seasons still considered Canadian?
-
I have heard that the Canadian government requires that the radio plays a certain amount of Canadian artists and as such you have bands that are known inside Canada. Is this also true of TV/Movies (and thus would explain Stefaniuk)?
-
I contributed a 3 to the 659 votes and then for some bizarre reason still decided to watch another Sefaniuk movie, Suck. It was much better than Phil The Alien, but still not terribly enjoyable.

Does that make Wes Anderson "The Deftones" in this analogy?

Bad movie options- Buzzfeed's How Many Bad Movies Have You Seen?
Lando replied to GuinnessLumberjack's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Some of those seem like odd choices. K-Pax might be far from a masterpiece, but is it really a notoriously bad movie? Does it really deserve to be on any list with Anaconda? -
I just wanted to bump this because of the Halloween theme thread. This movie is on HBO Go until 10/31. It's like a sign from the God of bad movies that HDTGM should cover it.

Short Circuit 1 or 2...or both!
Lando replied to DartanganMcgee's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Obviously Stan Bush would be on that list, but there's also a song from Bonnie "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" Tyler on SC2 (and it's probably the best part of the movie): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gghy92F_Jcw I used to love SC2 when I was a kid, but I caught some of it on TV as an adult and couldn't believe how terrible it was. -
I think that Wish I Was Here is a bit like "The new album from Limp Bizkit." I do kind of like to shit on Limp Bizkit, but I think nu metal is a good example of something that was once so much a part of the culture that has aged really poorly. From what I have seen of WIWH it looks like it would have been well received if it was released 10 years ago, but I think we're so worn out on that style of quirky movies that it gets a huge negative backlash.

I really enjoyed this movie. It took a bit for it to really get going, but that third act is very strong. It's hard to believe that John Voight went from this to Anaconda and Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2.
-
I think they're getting to Maximum Overdrive much sooner than Halloween.
-
I feel like Wish I Was Here would be a better candidate for HDTGM.

What film got you into the podcast?
Lando replied to Cockney Mackem's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I was lucky enough to have been a fan from the beginning. I saw the banner for the first mini episode on the comedy podcasts section of itunes and loved the idea of one the dudes from Human Giant and Rafi from The League talking about bad movies (I had not heard of June at the time, but I am so glad I was introduced to her via this podcast) and have been an active fan ever since. -
Done, although do I need more latin? How about in keeping with the current theme of your name FisterSaurass, or is that too graphic?

Random Thoughts: Whoopi's character comes off annoyed throughout this whole film. Given the circumstances it really doesn't seem fair for her to be nominated for a Razzie. Bud Cort's performance is Eric Cartman like. I half expected him to say "Screw you guys I'm going home" The plot kind of reminds me of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but with a much much less sexy Jessica Rabbit. The Voice of Teddy Rex also did Superman in the pretty good Justice League cartoon. I thought he sounded familiar. I wonder if recutting this film with clips of Earl from Dinosaurs in place of Teddy would make this movie better. It certainly couldn't make it worse. The Biblical references are really weird. Combined with the dinosaurs living side by side with people I would expect Kirk Cameron or Kent Hovind to approve of this movie. Every time Richard Roundtree appeared, all I could think was "poor Shaft."

I could see a HDTGM live double feature of Monkey Trouble and Dunston Checks In
-
FYI this movie looks like it's going to disappear from Netflix on 9/1 so watch it while you can
-
I ask my fellow #SharknadoNo-ers is Theodore Rex more or less watchable than Sharknado 3?
-
Yeah, thanks for the spoiler alert Paul! (to be read in outrage voice)
-
Also, can we now consider Theodore Rex, Super Mario Bros and Jupiter Ascending "The Anthropomorphic Dinosaur Trilogy"

In that Poochinski pilot, Boyle sounded a hell of a lot like Tony Danza in a couple of times. I am going to have to see if that pilot is on youtube.
