I would take an intentionally bad Troma film over an intentionally bad Asylum film any day. I'll DVR and watch Sharknado 3, but I'll probably be doing something else at the same time and not pay much attention. I will listen to the HDTGM ep with my full attention though.

It's always weird when someone starts a thread on a generally well received movie as if they are the arbiter of what is objectively bad and assuming that Jason, Paul and June are on their side.

I have not seen this movie in a while, but I liked that it was one of the first films that I had seen where the Vikings were more complex than just long boat raiders and I liked that. I probably should revisit this movie though.

I feel like the Sharknados are a deal with the devil. No matter how tedious these get, the ratings on these are never going to get so low that Asylum will stop making them.

I have a feeling that they're not going to do this movie. They passed on doing The Happening and have ignored Dreamcatcher, both of which feature a Wahlberg. I think Paul is in the pocket of big Wahlburger.

Of course it's for men. It has Kirstey Alley, she's very attractive.

Clearly they would get a guest VP every other week.

I have not seen that one and I will definitely have to. I like Anvil: The Story of Anvil as something of a counterpoint of SKOM

A couple of days ago I finally watched Rhinestone and one of the things I remember is that Stallone offers to take his Japanese passengers to a sushi restaurant. That movie also takes place in 1984. It was probably seen as something like a "raw fish? that sounds gross" punchline at that point.

That is one of the things I enjoy about Some Kind of Monster. They just happened to be recording a documentary while Metallica recorded one of the worst albums of all time and nobody told them that it may have been a bad idea.

It would be adorable if the Jason emoji called me a dum dum.
