I just wrapped up a January Bond marathon and I am just shocked at how bad the special effects are in this movie. They're like a step above Sharknado and this is a huge budget movie. Some general Bond observations: - It seems like the more annoyed Q is with Bond, the worse the movie. It's like Q is representing the audience. - Especially in the later movies, Moore comes across more like a creepy horndog than a suave ladies man - At times, Brosnan comes across like a Derek Zoolander interpretation of James Bond. The way that man can blue steel his way through an action scene is impressive.

Damnit I was hoping to be able to get to rewatching Tango & Cash before the episode dropped, I probably would have even had a zinger prepared to express this thought if I had.

I haven't seen this yet, but I see that it's #4 on the IMDB bottom 100 and it's on Netflix instant. Has anyone seen this film yet? Given that this movie is 150 minutes in Hindi I doubt that they'll pick this movie to do, but I was curious to hear opinions from the forum. The "People Who Liked This Also Liked..." includes Birdemic so I wonder if it's so bad it's good material. Honestly, the trailer doesn't make it look terrible

I believe June was referring to Thomas Beatie when she was talking about Arnold being born a woman first. Remember the "pregnant man" from about 5 years ago who was born a woman and then went through the hormone therapy to identify as a man.

It's up on Netflix instant watch and I think that it has to be covered at some point.

I hope this is one of those episodes where they get someone connected to the movie like DeVito or Reitman and that person has a sense of humor about how terrible the movie is. Actually, I really really hope it's DeVito and they can also discuss Deck the Halls. It probably won't be, but I can dream.

I regularly DVR true classics on TCM. I recently recorded the Ingmar Bergman faith trilogy, so they do mostly stay true to their name. I'm going to DVR Miami Connection though because it is awesome and if they do get some sort of Neilsen rating off our DVRs I want to send the signal that Miami Connection is in demand.

If they had chosen The World Is Not Enough there would have been a great tangential string. Sophie Marceau who is in TWINE was the Demi character in the French version of LOL, BUT she was also the Angelina character in the French movie that episode 11's The Tourist blatantly ripped off, Anthony Zimmer. Then again, maybe she should never ever appear directly in a HDTGM movie only in the French versions that are remade into Hollywood flops.

I just watched this and I liked it more than I had expected to. It's not a bad movie, but I think that they definitely could do this movie. As a comedy, some of the jokes do work, but others just seem like odd choices (the whole thing about the father's movie); as a romance, it's quite flimsy and things develop really quickly and for almost no good reason (although I admit that Mark is a dreamboat); and as an action film things unfold in very bizarre ways.

I thought this was silly (especially the computer that gave attitude about it not having the capacity to have attitude), but didn't hate this movie. That said, it would make a good movie for the podcast.

I think Michael Caine might be in the elite club of having both a 0% movie and a 100% movie on Rotten Tomatoes. 0% for Jaws 4, 100% for Alfie. It's almost not fair since both of those movies came out long before the internet, but I have yet to come across anyone else on RT who has been in a decent number of movies with that same distinction.

Not going to lie, as frustrating as NYSM was, I'd probably give the sequel a shot because I will want to see if they can top the inanity of the twist of the first one.
