  1. I was lucky enough to have been a fan from the beginning. I saw the banner for the first mini episode on the comedy podcasts section of itunes and loved the idea of one the dudes from Human Giant and Rafi from The League talking about bad movies (I had not heard of June at the time, but I am so glad I was introduced to her via this podcast) and have been an active fan ever since.

  2. Random Thoughts:

    • Whoopi's character comes off annoyed throughout this whole film. Given the circumstances it really doesn't seem fair for her to be nominated for a Razzie.
    • Bud Cort's performance is Eric Cartman like. I half expected him to say "Screw you guys I'm going home"
    • The plot kind of reminds me of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but with a much much less sexy Jessica Rabbit.
    • The Voice of Teddy Rex also did Superman in the pretty good Justice League cartoon. I thought he sounded familiar.
    • I wonder if recutting this film with clips of Earl from Dinosaurs in place of Teddy would make this movie better. It certainly couldn't make it worse.
    • The Biblical references are really weird. Combined with the dinosaurs living side by side with people I would expect Kirk Cameron or Kent Hovind to approve of this movie.
    • Every time Richard Roundtree appeared, all I could think was "poor Shaft."

  3. Great list esc_key, so many of those are HDTGM worthy.

Wow, Superbabies appears to have ended Bob Clark's career. He had Karate Dog come straight to DVD after it, but with filming schedules it was probably in the works before Superbabies came out. I know A Christmas Story is sometimes on the IMDB top 250, which makes me wonder how many directors have (or at some point had) a movie on both the IMDB top 250 and bottom 100

There are also two sequels to these films (and one even has Voight in it)!!!

  4. I'll have to track that down. Season 1 of Metalocalypse was so good, even my wife who does not like metal and didn't get the majority of the references liked it. Season 2 was spotty and 3 was weak I didn't even bother to set up my DVR after a move for 4. I did see them perform a couple of years ago though and they were really good and funny.

  5. Personally I only really enjoy musicals from Trey Parker and Matt Stone and some from Troma because they are usually poking fun of the tropes of musicals. I also like to joke about wanting to write Grim and Frostbitten: A Black Metal Broadway Musical.

  6. When I watched the premiere of TD season 2 and John Carter pulled over dumb blonde I had a sudden nervous tick. And there is a commercial where they play a song "We are young" that is in French in the American version that gives me flashbacks of the Paris scene every time. I can't escape this movie.

  7. I am not exactly sure what even constitutes and "indie" film anymore. I think you could include Tiptoes or Gooby in that or even the first Sharknado. I also don't know that you could even really say that there is a type of movie that they do, the only things that they haven't really done are Criteron and Oscar winners (although if they have done something that won a technical or soundtrack Oscar I wouldn't be surprised), but they do like to experiment. But that said, the OP was unnecessarily harsh in their expression of their opinion of this film that one of the hosts was proudly promoting when it came out.
