6. What's going on with The Murphy Group? 7. Classic Would-You-Rather Blunder 8. That's Part and Parcel of What We Do... so many more, just blanking right now... -
The pits of lava represent the trenches of emotional despair in all of us, and the Grug character is a stand-in for the God-force itself. Do you not understand symbolism? Personally, I haven't been so moved by a film since the 'Red Dawn' re-boot.

This is probably the only movie I've ever just been too creeped out to see (and I'm a Cronenberg fan). Would love to watch it vicariously through the HDTGM crew, though!
-
They could probably get Bobcat on this, too... but it's not nearly bad enough for HDTGM. Not to mention it's packed with Earwolfers (Brian Posehn, Morgan Murphy, Steve Agee, Jack Plotnick).

To this day, Phantom Menace is still the only movie I've ever been to that received a standing ovation. I did not agree with this ovation, but clearly that movie wasn't as big a kick in the fans' balls as everyone now thinks it was...

Dice is still doing that joke (and the other nursery rhymes, too). The saddest part is, his 30-year old material isn't even the saddest part of his act.

That's the way it has to be, cuz that's the way I like it. -
It just dawned on me during that stamps.com commercial: the game 'Monopoly' is probably named after the thing 'monopoly'. Been playing that game for years and never put that together.

Episode 74 — We R Michelle Shocked

I'm confused -- was that Yoshi's, or was it in San Francisco? (edit: Oh, NM -- didn't realize there was one in SF too). I had never actually heard the rant for myself -- it was way more entertaining than the articles I read led me to believe... -
King Middle School -- shout out! Is Kulap from Wisconsin? She's mostly got the L.A. patois going, but sometimes a little Fargo sneaks in there (or maybe it's my imagination)

That look on Cake Boss' face can only be described as one of total cake-sternation. P.S. I don't think he's going to like your screenname, Rachel...

Kevin Pollak's Chat Show now on Earwolf!
pbnews replied to Julia's topic in Kevin Pollak's Chat Show
Agreed, these were great -- Kevin has sort of a corny, Dad-sense of humor, but he lets the interviews go where they're going to go, and does a great job with the guests, in general. Little Wolverine is always funny, too. By the way, you're not buffering... -
Episode 23 — Kevin Pollak's Chat Show Sizzle Reel

You can check out the archived ones at kevinpollakschatshow.com -- video and audio... nice addition to Earwolf! -
Thanks for posting the video, btw... I love how Pepsi continues to misjudge the audience with fake edginess, in the middle of a show containing actual edginess... Just like those terrible Pepsi Next ads in CBB. Seriously, get Tim and Eric to do your ad or something, if you insist on trying to target insufferable alt-hipster nerds like myself...

Wait, is THAT the Sha-na-na song they reference in the "Buh-didda-dip-dow" episode? Never put that together (I thought "Good Night Sweetheart" WAY predated Sha-Na-Na, but I really have no idea...) Cool.

So if we account for all of human history, there are still 8% of humans living? That number seems way too high to me, despite the fact that the world's population has only increased... Just saw an article in Scientific American that put the estimate closer to 6%... Still, that's pretty amazing, considering the current generation of humans, time-wise, has only lived a tiny fraction of humanity's overall span.

Supposedly filmmaking expenses are 100-percent deductible in Germany, and there are also other loopholes that allow people to delay paying taxes if they make movies. I don't think Boll's movies need to make money, in general, to be profitable for him. Explains a lot... I have tried to enjoy his movies as "bad cinema", but they are too inept to even succeed that way (and not quite inept enough for a Tommy Wiseau-esque trainwreck).

Definitely. That's part and parcel of what they do at CBB.
