    It probably was, but the episode was still pretty great. I don't think it'll be #1 at the end of the year, but I bet it will still be in the top ten.

     

     

    Haven't listened yet, but even if it's the best Farts & Pro yet, I can't see it surpassing 'Time Bobby 2'. Damn, this is a good run for CBB (and Earwolf in general).

     

    Did Chelsea not want to be photographed that day, or something? She's conspicuously absent from the studio pics (not that I'm complaining about the view in Pic 1...)

    This is apparently based on a real sports tout who "picks winners at 75% accuracy," which is obviously bullshit [the way touts work is to make picks on dozens of different "sheets," then advertise the sheets that perform well ("I've picked nine in a row!") and bury the other ones...]

     

    Literally (sorry!) anyone could do this, and obviously if you actually were a "sports savant" as the movie portrays Matty McC, you would not bother selling picks -- you'd jackpot the books on your own (or with partners, if you managed to get blacklisted).

     

    I saw this movie when it came out, and don't remember if it would make a good HDGTM episode or not -- but I guess you can't really go wrong with those two leads...

    snapback.png Hell I found it rather enjoyable, all the way through that ridiculous ending where the white guy was the only one impervious to a howitzer. It never diminished my experience with the rest of the film, I simply took it in as a movie to entertain, not a teaching tool of the end of the Meiji era.

    Im going to cast my vote for "wharves." As in "Freak Wharves."

     

    Gonna try to get to Chicago to see the Bros (come by and say wussup if anyone in Earwolf nation is planning on going). Just moved out here to the Midwest for a job, and having some serious comedy withdrawal (hard to find weed, too, but that's a different forum...) It's enough to make a guy fly private...
