Absurd plot - Patrick Swayze is basically the Domenic Toretto of big-rig driving, forced to drive a semi to save his family. Meatloaf playing a religious zealot / gun smuggler yelling biblical quotes at Patrick Swayze during a semi chase. Randy Travis attempting to act. Possibly the worst acting of Patrick Swayze's career. Watching this movie evolve from 'semi'-believable to a hot mess is only bested by what could possibly be the best/most absurd/biggest payoff of an ending ever...

I'm more concerned about what he might try to do with the light hand cannon.

Hopefully Gerry's not back next week so Brian can take control of Sir Dick. Now THAT I want to hear.

Guys, it's really not their fault that the show moves slow and is full of banter. They have to chop the episodes up and, each time, they lose momentum that they have to rebuild the next episode (especially if they're not taping back to back). The banter isn't because they're trying to ham it up, they're just a bunch of friends. Any type of gaming I've ever been involved with is the same way. Really, more than anything, it's just difficult to play 1 hour of D&D. Realistically, you'd be playing for a few hours at a time just so you don't lose all the momentum.

I'm pretty sure I've got this one all figured out.

Argh, you guys are killing me with these cliff hangers! This keeps getting better. Wish we could get two episodes a week!

Grant-Lee, This was fantastic, and not just because Aimee Mann is always a fascinating guest. I'm really excited about the Kristin Hersh episode, as well. I can't wait to see who else you end up getting. I'm assuming that this podcast is based in LA. I'd love to hear you talk to Jeff and Steven McDonald of Redd Kross, seeing that they're once again active and relevant.

Wow, I hope you guys can keep finding writers/directors willing to sit in the hot seat. I can't wait to hear the process behind Crank 2.

Hey Scott, I'm not sure which John Frusciante album you were talking about, but you definitely need to check out Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt (back in print) and Curtains (which may or may not have been the one you were talking about). Frusciante's solo albums are incredible.

Episode 23 — The Room: Director\'s Edition
ProppaT replied to admin's topic in How Did This Get Made?
You're really doing yourself a disservice if you listen to this before watching the movie. Also, the Newgrounds The Room game is pretty amazing. You have to check it out, it does a good job of distilling the essence of this movie in playable form. -
@Barry: Hazy Shade of Winter will always remind me of the Anipal's drug fueled christmas cheer montage on TV Funhouse. Man, I miss that show so much.

Wow, I have no idea how Howard did that without loosing his voice halfway through...hahah

So, directly after listening to this weeks ep, I had my most embarrassing Ear Wolf experience. I use Android Listen to subscribe to all of the Earwolf shows and, apparently, it keeps a queue of things to listen to that I'm too lazy to learn how to delete. The app is kinda buggy in and of itself, as it likes to skip in between shows for no reason whatsoever. Walking into my office, I hit pause on this week's ep and threw my phone into my pocket. I guess something in my pocket hit the screen and, not only did it unpause the player, it also skipped to a half listened to Affirmation Nation. So, I walk in the door and what's the first thing that comes out of my phone? Bob Ducca saying "unlimited masturbation." Yeah...

Hey guys, this is all goofy. When you click play on this week's Wolf Den, it plays last week's episode...and the description here is for Affirmation Nation, not Wolf Den
