Episode 86 β Ross Mathews, Our Close Friend
TheBlackSpank replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
I wanted to get mad at Andy for getting unprofessionally randy during the podcast, but I have to admit that I got a big old hard boner when Sean started talking about how great and hot and fun it is to have sex with models. -
EPISODE 9 - The Annual Ghost Sex Convention
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
I really wanted Paul to acknowledge that! Eban adds so much to the Tompkast and Spontaneanation. In my mind, Paul just has Eban Schletter piano music going on inside his head at all times. -

EPISODE 349 β The 6th Anniversary Show!
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I imagine that JW Stillwater's dad is pretty fond of this one as well. -
If Sean and Hayes ran a film festival...
TheBlackSpank replied to amandam's topic in Hollywood Handbook
I'm pretty sure they would be willing to help their friends get wide releases for their movies. "So I Married A Van Helsing: The Skellington's Kiss" and "Teen Pope" would be top billed. If they can make it happen in time, they should make a documentary about their involvement in making The Godfather and screen that. And I know it's not a movie, but a teaser trailer for the upcoming game "Fight Haver" would probably go over pretty well. The most prestigious award would be "Least Scary Feelm". -
EPISODE 1 - A Denny's Parking Lot
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Oh my god, this is so great. We get a little Pod F. Tompkast freestyle ramble, a great conversation with a PFT friend, and some amazing improv! And all with Eban Schletter's lovely tunes in the background. As if having Paul guest on so many podcasts wasn't good enough already. Now he's got a weekly! All is right in the world! -
EPISODE 341 β Banging the Table with Stars
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I've only gotten into HH over the last month, and I'm kicking myself for not listening earlier. If you want to get sold on the show, I loved the very 1st episode, but I have some favorites: I'd suggest the Michael Showalter episode, in which Sean and Hayes claim to have been involved in making The Godfather, and go step-by-step over audio from a scene in which Marlon Brando was difficult to work with. The Brian Huskey episode is great. They read lines from Brian's upcoming movie "Teen Pope.". Shelby Ferro's episode consists of them trying to be "hip" to fit in with her because she's so young, and failing miserably. There's a very early episode where they fire Engineer Brett for sneezing. I wish I could remember which one, but maybe another listener can help me out there. Grace Helbig teaching them how to operate a laptop and use Youtube. Adam Pally just gets fake angry and refuses to go along with their shtick. -
EPISODE 19 β Scott Aukerman: A Lil' Dab'll Do Ya'
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
Scott has to do more characters. Dabney is so fucking great. I literally collapsed on the floor with laughter during the bong scene when he declared his love for his daddy. Even Lauren was breaking non-stop throughout the entire episode. That makes me wonder if he'll get a chance to do more characters when Spontaneanation starts. The more shows he gets to improvise on, the better. -
EPISODE 337 β The Ying and the Yankovic
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
He's already been on CBB as Doug Doyzoice like three times before. Then again, maybe I'm just big upping him. -
EPISODE 14 β Talking with Tommy LIVE from RIOT LA
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
This might be my new second favorite after the PFT episode. I was crying with laughter during the whole Obama thing. "No, get my dad, he'll know what to do!" and Obama's "Looks like it's time to grow up". Two of my favorite quotes from the entire episode. -
EPISODE 336 β NOT Farts and Procreation 4
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
"Goddammit Harris the Westboro Baptist Church just called you a "fag enablerβ and youβre not here to see it" -Joe Mande Harris Wittels, my favorite "fag enabler". -
EPISODE 336 β NOT Farts and Procreation 4
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Scott made me cry within the first minute. And then roughly 30 seconds into the actual episode, I was already dying with laughter and grinning ear-to-ear. Thank you Scott for deciding to release this. It was obviously the right call. You said it yourself: Motherfuckers wanna laugh. A celebrity death has never hit me so hard before. Harris reminds me too much of a couple of my real-life friends, only about 20 times funnier. -
This is the worst celebrity loss I've ever experienced. I felt like I knew Harris without ever even meeting him. He was effortlessly funny, and I've listened to each Farts and Pro episode over a dozen times. He was so young and had so much more to give. My love goes out to his friends and family. I'm so sorry, Harris. I just wish you could have beaten your addictions. The comedy scene just won't be the same without you.

I just have to say that as a huge David Cross fan, I still really get annoyed when he just won't play along. Is it that absurd to just ask some silly questions for Would You Rather? The guy can be funny in any situation, so it's not like it's a challenge for him, and he's on a comedy podcast. And Scott is a good friend of his. Just fucking do the bit and quit acting like a hipster! Edit: That said, I really enjoyed Hits, and everyone should check it out. Hopefully it does well enough to encourage Cross to make another movie. The ending is just perfect.

EPISODE 20 β LIVE from SF Sketchfest
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Scott and Scott joked during one episode that they could just start from the beginning again and review each album from the beginning. I really wish they would do it. We don't need a U2 event for new eps. Each episode would turn out completely different anyway, and there might be several episodes where they don't even get to the album. I know they're crazy busy, but whenever they can get together, I'll take as many of these eps as I can get. And they can always bring in another guest comedian to get their thoughts on U2. Chelsea Peretti hasn't even been on yet! -
Episode 327 β Bang! Bang! Into Your Mouth!
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
This is the best thing ever made. -
Episode 168 β These Fat Crackers: The Final Battle
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
These Fat Crackers would be a better sitcom than 90% of the ones on tv, and we didn't even get to watch it. This was a really cool experiment, and now it's one of my all time favorites. I hope they do it again. Stephanie played a great straight character, and Eugene and Colton's transitions between straight and insane was awesome. -
Episode BO2014.4 β Best of 2014 Pt 4
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Yeah, some b-b-b-bonus clips would have fixed that, but I really enjoyed the "how the sausage is made" conversations that Scott and Paul had instead. -
Episode BO2014.3 β Best of 2014 Pt 3
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
All I care about is that Scott has agreed to a solo polo episode with the big PFT, and we're surely getting another Benny schwazz solo bolo in the near future. That said, I'm definitely surprised by a couple of these. I personally think that Part 1 has had the best episodes so far. -
Episode BO2014.1 β Best of 2014 Pt 1
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I would have bet money that the JW Stillwater/Traci Reardon episode and "They're Twins, Jonah" would have at least made the top ten. Hopefully the introduction episode of Tiny and Victor will make the list, too. The cheeseburger story is fucking hilarious. -
Episode 326 β 2014 Holiday Spectacular
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Yeah, I always pictured him as a dirty, homeless mix of Don King and Louie Armstrong. -
Rory is yet another comedian that's fun to have around even if he is just in the background laughing. This whole episode was amazing. As much as I love recurring characters from PFT and Lauren Lapkus, I also love that Pam Murphy comes in with a new character every time she's on, and she always knocks it out of the park.

Here's hoping that "When The Rock Stops Rolling" is now a podcast.

Episode 323 β Pie Quiz with Tears for Fears
TheBlackSpank replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I just assumed he was stung by a pie scorpion and developed a split personality. -
The Chelsea interview section was great, but I wasn't a huge fan of Seth's new character. The actual description of the pleasing sounds were interesting, but not funny. The idea of just getting lost in the conversation about finances is funny, but I checked out a little after Chelsea did. The sudden "Jellystone fuck you" fight was hilarious. There's definitely some merit to more subtle comedy with a sort of grounded character, but it's not as funny to me.
