Hollywood had 10 years after the first movie and 8 years after the end of the series to make a decent sequel. Instead it seems a bunch of producers sifted through a box of fanfics, picked the least outrageous (read: boring and pointless), and stretched into a feature film. But Mulder has a beard now so you know things have changed! This movie feels like when you have a dream about a show you've watched and upon waking up you think "that was stupid".
