Haven't listened yet, but pass the message across to Amy that she looks absolutely fucking adorable in that thumbnail. Can't wait for Parks to return, will return with my thoughts post-listen.

It's going to be hard for Besser to be less professional than he was today at the end there. Set the bar pretty damn low, man, I'm disappointed in you.

And of course, LHR gets screwed once again.

Episode 5.2 — Using the Guest: Day 2
Cody Nelson replied to admin's topic in The Earwolf Challenge
Good to see Left Handed Radio excel in today's episode. Not only because I'm a huge fan of that podcast, because I think this week's challenge was quite unfairly stacked against them. The similarities to American Idol theme episodes are a bit farfetched, and 'Using The Guest' is a bit of a ridiculous challenge in a show like this. With that said, Matt's slowly but surely becoming a better host, and he had a great rapport with the two guest judges this time around. Maron played a hard-ass quite well, and it was a good thing; he made no unfounded claims, and my opinion on Braunger as straight man pretty much exactly mirrored his. Howard was also a great guest judge, and it was nice to hear someone say (basically) 'Well, I liked it, but they should've done more with it.' My thoughts this week: Little Dum Dum Club continues to kill it, LHR as well; Bob and Dan Cast really let me down, as did Totally Laime (which saddens me the most out of all of this). The F+ and Television Zombies are still confusing me with their existence, and the Fort has a ton of potential, they've just yet to find and release it. My predictions for bottom 3: F+, TV Zombies, and Bob & Dan Cast. Continue to do great, Earwolf Challenge, I'm loving every ep. -
Episode 3.3 — Concept & Content: Day 3
Cody Nelson replied to admin's topic in The Earwolf Challenge
I'm loving this podcast quite a bit, but I have a gripe. Most of the complaints for Television Zombies were aimed towards the fact that the audio production didn't sound very great. How is that relevant when the competition topic for this week was 'Concept & Content?' Also, good call on telling Brett (Brent?) off this soon in. If he wants to last at all in this competition, he needs to know he can't bite back at every little piece of criticism, and also he should know better than to attack the one thing that could potentially make him bigger. I want to start listening to Ham Radio, but honestly, if there's anything else like that, I don't really feel the need to. It's in poor taste, and I simply don't find it funny. Finally, sad to see TCGTE go (Been following since their first episode), but I understand and appreciate where the elimination came from. They have too much of a tendency to go on tangents, and while their stream-of-consciousness material is truly, truly hilarious, it doesn't correlate with the title of the show, and listening to more of it beforehand would've only given you more reason to eliminate them this round. Great 2nd week, excited to see what the next challenge is! -
Ken Marino didn't do nearly enough outside of his rap, which had me dying. He's easily the funniest of these three, and was (probably by choice) underutilized. Still really enjoyed the ep. Great work wrangling up all three of these guys in one week. Had to have taken forever.

What about in the Twin Cities? Any Minnesotans?

Just imagining a bear-skin rug on a helicopter cracked me up.
