The Thomas Crown Affair (1999)
Anonymous Coward replied to GiveMeYourBaby's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Rene Russo looked amazing in this movie. Remington Steele was giving you good face. I like this movie. You gotta enjoy the whole reverse-heist business and Nina Simone's Sinnerman is awesome with the bowlers and all. To me it's a good bit of movie fun, but I guess you do have to suspend your disbelief for it. Ocean's 12 is the heist movie that I'd prefer them to poke fun at over Thomas Crown Affair, because I'm still not over Julia Roberts playing herself within the film... that was so weird and confusing. But either way I'm on board! -
EPISODE 112 — Jupiter Ascending
Anonymous Coward replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
This made laugh like an idiot. What a movie. -
Is it wrong for me to bump this thread because I want to hear June, Jason and Paul tear this shit show to pieces. Don't get me wrong, there are worse movies to do, but I still feel like I was tricked into seeing this.

Justin, the rat guard in The Secret of NIMH is the weirdest one I got. -
Submit your new HDTGM logo here!
Anonymous Coward replied to Julia's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I love this! It looks like a simple classic logo for a deli. I think making a stamp for all the wonderful/terrible movie covers is brilliant and versatile, while still looking clean and snazzy. Well done! -
Good point.

I only just heard about this monstrosity. I don't really want to watch it, but boy do I want to hear Paul, June and Jason dig into it. The trailer is so painful.

Jem and The Holograms (2015)
Anonymous Coward replied to Grand Moff Talkin''s topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I honestly quite liked Speed Racer and think that it's a pretty fun and silly movie. The only real low-points are the chimpanzee parts. And I really think Jem and the Holograms would have been lucky to get the Speed Racer treatment, if in an alternate reality the Wachowski siblings did Jem in the same bright and fun way they did Speed I bet it would've been a real treat... sorry, got a bit defensive about Speed Racer. -
Earth Girls are Easy (1988)
Anonymous Coward replied to Warble2850's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Just heard it, FANTASTIC! -
Why on earth didn't double fine improve on the graphics for the remastered version? Also, was there a rollerblader/skateboarder feud in 1995?

I think this could be a bad movie because it has some questionable elements, but I love it and the fact that I sob uncontrollably whenever I watch it makes me think it might be amazing. It's not on a Zardoz level that's pretty obvious. I don't know. Interesting suggestion. I'd still love to hear them chat about it. Oh, side note - the music is stunning. No questionable Con-Air style guitar nonsense.

Mirror Mirror (2012)
Anonymous Coward replied to taylor anne photo's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I hate this movie. Who thought it was a good idea? It's the same exact feeling I got when I saw Dark Shadows. Such garbage. But great suggestion, taylorannephoto -
Yea, no - I genuinley enjoy Yellowbeard. I can't really see them doing this movie.

I don't know if he's already been suggested or approached but it would be cool to hear Rory Scovel on the podcast sometime! -
Do it for the whole world!

Bad movie options- Buzzfeed's How Many Bad Movies Have You Seen?
Anonymous Coward replied to GuinnessLumberjack's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I've only seen 52 of them. I think it's a pretty comprehensive list, sure it's missing a few gems and there are some odd choices, but obviously the creator gets to pick and choose what qualifies as bad when they made the list. -
Guests I'd Love To Hear of HDTGM
Anonymous Coward replied to Blast Hardcheese's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Ohh there are so many great suggestions. Now, ofcoursemyhorse totally gets credit for this one, they suggested Thomas Middleditch in the bad movies suggestion thread for Hackers and now I'm basically obsessed with the idea. Though I'm not really picky on the film, it's just fun throwing people and movies together arbitrarily. -
And also this: *yoink*

What film got you into the podcast?
Anonymous Coward replied to Cockney Mackem's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I was just googling Kumail Nanjiani to hear more of his podcast appearances and so I heard the Leprechaun in the Hood epidsode first. It was a pretty fantastic way to get into the series. I never listened to the show in order, just episodes I had seen the movie already. -
Why did they change the theme song?
Anonymous Coward replied to Ribelin2000's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I am 100% on board!! -
Why did they change the theme song?
Anonymous Coward replied to Ribelin2000's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I'm waiting for the quirky cutesy kitschy ukulele version of the How Did This Get Made theme. -
Mine too. I think it's one of the funniest episodes they've ever done. Pete Holmes' giddy enthusiasm for this weird movie is pure gold. I like recommending this one, Face Off and the Mac & Me episode

"Earwolf" ending audio tag / title card too loud!
Anonymous Coward replied to boxofgeese's topic in General Earwolf
For sure it's louder, but for me it's always race to take off my headphones so I don't have to hear the animal noises at the end. I think it was maybe a little funny the first time I heard it, but now it's so overwhelmingly grating that I tear the earphones away like they're on fire. Lot's of great shows wish there was a gentler (quieter) send off. -
Mom's Night Out
Anonymous Coward replied to ShannonAlexanderGriffin's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I don't know it's so bad. I wouldn't want to make anyone watch this. It crosses the line of being too painful to watch even to make fun of it. -
I would love to hear an episode on Space Camp. It's bad in fun 80s way.
