I love Tunde and Wiig too much to accept that this is a thread right now, even if it is a bad movie. I will just pretend it doesn't exist if anything.

This was a super funny ep and yet nobody is talking about it

EPISODE 53 - Shaun Diston: The Wishing Well with Skee-Lo
Snake replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
This was great. Someone should tweet this to him: https://twitter.com/Skeelo_MusiK/following -
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/what_we_do_in_the_shadows/ This movie gets a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's one of the highest I've ever seen. Your wife is the 1% I absolutely adore this movie, by the way

Ok, I'm not going to watch this movie, but it still looks promising based on this:

In fairness, I think taking it out was a big reason season 2 of True Detective sucked so hard

What film got you into the podcast?
Snake replied to Cockney Mackem's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I was actually a surprisingly big fan of Human Giant and have listened since ep 1. Still love it just as much as I did then, I thought I would be sick of HDTGM by now but it's just too good. -
Fuck yeah! Big get

I would pay so much for a Rumble in the Bronx sweatshirt from that Dino-sized 4 pack

The writing credits are Fred Wolf and David Spade in 2015 is what happened

This minisode made me suddenly want a Paul Scheer solo radio show where he just has to blather on for like 4 hours by himself. I'd say this was my favorite minisode of all time if they didn't announce that they were doing sharknado 3 in it

Nevermind

I love that guy's voice, too. "Let me show you my collection of....renaissance bronze"

It's a great movie and there aren't really any holes in the logic of it, it's just kind of weird. I would love to hear Jason talk about how much he'd love to be in a society like that, but otherwise there isn't much for them to really riff on

I'm trying to imagine that situation playing out in real life. Some guys go to Brazil for a martial arts championship, get wind of a child sex ring and then case the joint, then go in and beat up a huge syndicate one by one. I know I'm just repeating what you said, but it's just insane

These two were dorking out so hard. I loved that exchange: Ben: There is a chance one day that I may do a podcast. Maybe one day. Scott: Oh man, god I hope you do it with us! That would be great! Ben: I hate you. Scott: Come on, that would be the greatest. Schwazz: You're the meanest. Don't even finish this. I was being sincere! Scott: I'm being sincere. You know how you asked me what's one thing I'd like to acheive that I haven't done yet in my career? It's to have you do a podcast on the Earwolf network. And I didn't say it because I was scared! I was scared that you weren't going to want to do it, Ben! Ben: I'm not going to do it guys, I'm back out and I'm never going to do it again Scott: Ha ha ha! I knew it! You're a coward! Ha ha! Ben: King Tut

All I can say is, at least that part is supposed to be magic and mysterious. I thought Jane was tormented by the powers at first since he almost kills himself after using it in the beginning when he was making fun of his fat patient (WTF was that by the way???), but then later it seems like he has no idea he is a psychic. This can't be downplayed enough in this thread: this screen play was written by the guy who wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Empire Strikes Back, plus was nominated for two Oscars for writing The Big Chill and The Accidental Tourist.

You used to be able to get a count of the number of people who listened/downloaded a particular episode by going to the specific episode page and looking in the corner of the ep. It was interesting to see which podcasts had more or less views and I always appreciated that they had it. I understand that people probably get these on iTunes as well and it underrepresented the count, but comparing was just kind of fun. It's too bad they got rid of it if that's what happened.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
Snake replied to NeilMiddleton's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I know this whole thread is turning into just me talking to myself, but goddamn it this movie needs to get done. Anyways, they're rebooting it instead of making it into a TV show, so it's relevant enough again for me to bump this. http://comicbook.com...t-in-the-works/ The dialogue in TLOEOG makes Conan in New York look like Pulp Fiction and what other movie has a 200 foot, nuclear powered submarine emerging from the Venice canals in the 1800s? -
I have always dreamed of being an evil businessman with a karate dojo. Preferably in the basement of my office building like in The Last Dragon, but using them to start petty fights with people and sicking my evil dojo on people would be great. I would also be fine with an evil youth league team that only plays in black uniforms, makes all sorts of cheap shots and illegally recruits kids from out of district.

This is easily one of my favorite movies and it kills me to hear anybody say anything bad about it. It's just a great adventure movie, I love it

Not only that, but what did prove it was his blood type. However, they transferred an organ (his face) to a new host with a different blood type. You can't do that! It would be rejected so fast. Also, when she takes the blood sample and analyzes it, that isn't how you do it.

It also spurned this Face/Off themed Lil' Wayne / Julez Santana mixtape http://www.datpiff.com/Lil-Wayne-Face-Off-mixtape.1596.html

In fairness, this movie had the sweetest action figures
