    Bio-Dome (1996)

Wow was Steven Baldwin trying to rape a scientist in that trailer? Wtf?
  2. Snake

    Black Knight

I'm actually on his side for this one

Is anyone else liking Damien more than Amarth?

I loved the El Ryan / Sark interactions so much. Sir Richard is just Gerry on his own, but El Ryan was Gerry using Sark as a straightman as he argued about what Spirit Bear could and couldn't do. He is the one that really sucked me into the podcast.

The 2013 Holiday movie poll discussion

I mean, they're practically the same movie. Both movies involve someone literally named Jack Frost, both of who die in the beginning of each movie in a snowy car crash, then are brought back to life a year later. The main character in both movies are basically neglecting their sons, except the resurrection of Jack Frost makes them appreciate what they have and become closer at the end of the movie. Oh and also, they have one more huge similarity: they're both incredibly shitty movies. The Keaton one makes less sense overall and also doesn't have a rape scene, so I would vote for that one.
  5. http://www.deadline.com/2013/10/cult-80s-slasher-sleepaway-camp-reboot-remake/ I am really curious on how they will handle the ending. Here's hoping that they bring Jason on as a Special Family Tree Consultant
  6. But this one has so much potential. Just think about the original ending to Sleepaway Camp in your mouth

    The Nutcracker in 3D (2010)

This movie is so nuts. I was freaking out watching it just on TV at a family thing and I had no backstory on what it was when we started so it was really playing games with my head. Ba-na-nas

    Tango and Cash

If this guy has giant oil trucks filled to the brim with cocaine, then him having a hall of mirrors and monster trucks isn't so farfetched

    Jade (1995)

Yeah I suggested this in the guest forums. I thought they should bring in Seth Rogen since him and Mantzoukas are so tight now
  10. This is such a great movie. A little disjointed but I would hardly think it's right to do an episode on it. Totally worth watching for anyone who hasn't seen it

    Episode 71.5 — Minisode 71.5

I thought they were going to, but they never did. The scene ends on the x-ray screen with the D.C. military dude going limp and the general's hands still around his neck. It really looked like he killed him

    Episode 71.5 — Minisode 71.5

There were so many little WTF moments in this that I feel got obscured by the overall nonsense of this movie. Things like: 1.) they make a video game called "Mr. Squirt's Wet Adventure" or something like that 2.) Did the general strangle the other military dude when they were on the x-ray cam and he was pitching the war toys to him? It looks like he actually killed him, right? Because they never actually addressed that but it really seemed like he did. 3.) William's courtship was so creepy it was really hard to watch. His "I want to get laid" Satan handpuppet was ...... something ......
  13. How has nobody said Ashton Kutcher? Texas Rangers (2% on Rotten Tomatoes!), My Boss' Daughter (9%), The Guardian (37%), The Butterfly Effect (33%) are all terrible, but the best two candidates are either Jobs or Spread. Dude just cannot act and is so full of himself he's bursting at the seems
  14. I've never seen it, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be streaming anywhere. Some highlights I've quickly noticed are: Keenan Ivory Wayans is in it When you Google the movie and that "actors in the movie sidebar" pops up, the lead actress' picture is instead of a math teacher of the same name's mugshot, where she is just caked in cold sores. She was apaprently arrested for prostitution or something. Steven Seagal wrote and performed most of the songs on the soundtrack It gets 13% on Rotten Tomatoes

    Episode 240 — #TheWorldsEnd

It's got a 92% on rotten tomatoes right now. I feel obliged to see this opening weekend

    Gymkata vs. Shaq-Fu

Is it bad form to talk about the Q&A Questions? Because I could go on about how I think the Gymkata brother would be able to dodge Shaq-urikens all day, but the Shaq-Fu brother could inferno kick right through any gym equipment which would really put a limit on what the other one could do. It's too close to call

    Am I Crazy...

I wasn't paying attention to Howard the Duck's expiration date before Paul announced it for obvious reasons, but it went down for two weeks coinciding with the podcast and then popped right back up.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP4P7VPx2zM Chapstick...urghghg....chapstick... This movie is terrible, how has nobody suggested this yet? The dialogue is amazing (I think there are a few bits June could do as a monologue a la Sharknado), the mothmen and Richard Gere basically spend every night just chatting on the phone like they're sixteen year old girls, every single person Richard Gere talks to has seen a Mothman but he acts totally surprised every time like he's never heard it before, the bridge collapse at the end is priceless.... Plus it's based on a true story! It's like saying Dracula is based on a true story.

    Dreamcatcher (2003)

This is one of my top questions about this movie. The best part was that in the beggining, the red haired guy from Homeland sees Dobbins when he was crossing the street and is so startled by it that he gets hit by a bus. His friends all act completely shocked that he could have possibly seen Dobbins there. Then, later in the movie, it's established that Dobbins lives maybe 20 minutes away from where he was hit by the bus. I should also mention that it was a super busy city street with tons of people going there all the time. My other big ones were: 1.) Dobbins body vs Mr. Grey's body. Mr. Grey is an 8 foot tall alien that can turn into a bunch of mini-particles to enter someone's body and not make them any bigger. At the end of the movie, he leaves Homeland dude's (HLD) body and HLD is totally fine - but then Dobbins turns into his gigantic alien form and does not leave a weird, leukemia ridden body on the ground. So he wasn't possessing someone like Mr. Grey, he specifically chose that form? And he aged and grew up as he got older? Further, Dobbins was clearly on treatment for leukemia. He had medical equipment that was clearly given to him by doctors. That means that they must have performed extensive medical tests on him, right? How could they do that and not tell he was an alien? If they took his blood once would't they see something was weird? Also, if he was a giant alien, why didn't he stop those kids from stripping him naked and trying to feed him dog excrement? 2.) What was the significance of the Dreamcatchers? The only reason given was that they protected them from nightmares. Were they having nightmares? It seemed like they were the biggest goodie two shoes dorks on the planet when they were kids. The one who was played by Tina Fey even sang Blue Bayou to Dobbins as she cradled him in her arms. They certainly didn't seem nightmare plagued. So why name the movie after it? 3.) What impact did the military subplot with Freeman and Sizemore have on the plot at all? It literally was just in the movie to kill time. They didn't use it to explain the aliens, they didn't use it to stop the aliens, the main characters had no development from it whatsoever........I mean why even bother? They could have pulled all of it out and the movie would have been exactly the same plotwise. 4.) Why were Dobbins and Mr. Grey named that?

    The Mothman Prophecies

Oh come on. If Mothmen were real, Richard Gere would have died in a mysterious bus accident by now. This is a 90 minute insult to their integrity
  22. It's on Amazon Prime, which is $80 for the year and you get a free month of it. Plus, all your Amazon purchases ship for free and you get them within two days. It's pretty sweet. You should check out this other site called CanIStream.it where you can look up if a movie is streaming and where you can find it. It has basically everything but HBO Go. Dreamcatchers is absolutely off the rails. I just rewatched it with my girlfriend the other night and I had forgotten just how truly mistifying it is. I don't even get why they had the army subplot to begin with, it has literally no effect on the story. I don't even know where to start with that one, but it would be so perfect.

    Am I Crazy...

I'm kind of torn on this one. I like buying the movies for sure, but I feel like I already bought them by having 4 different streaming services. I think I am just going to hold off on watching them until they go back up from now on. It's not like they deserve to be paid for their high artistic merit or anything

    Am I Crazy...

Wow I literally just posted about this another thread. HBO Go though pulled Howard the Duck the day that Paul announced it, then put it back up a few days after the episode dropped. They also pulled Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles the day Paul announced (yes, the same day, I'm sure of it) but left Croc 1 and 2 up. So weird
  25. Snake

    Which movies have you seen/own?

I want to plug an app that I found called canistream.it - basically you type in a movie and it tells you if you can stream it. Notably absent is HBO Go but it has Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Instant and some other ones. Has anybody else noticed this too: HBO Go seems to pull movies when HDTGM announces they are going to do them. Howard the Duck got pulled the day that Paul announced they were going to do it, but then a day after the episode dropped it was back up again. Croc Dundee 3 got pulled the day Paul announced they were going to do it, but 1 and 2 stayed up. It's very odd. I think it happened with another movie but I forget which one.
