That is probably too much to ask for but an episode where they are ostensibly there to debate which band is better, but they never really talk about either would be amazing. Scott just got Zach up with Obama, so I figure he owes him one.
-
Color of night next episode? What about Mr. Nanny?
Â
I'm guessing the baby will be due in like a week so they are going to use it later to give themselves a break.
Â
Also this is a good choice. I was hoping they'd do a terrible 90s erotic thriller like this, Jade or Sliver. Terrible movies all

This was one of my favorite movies growing up, but it is absolutely bonkers. Some of the things worth discussing:
1. shark robots
2.80's power ballads, including one originally written for Stallone's Cobra
3. that all the main characters die and get replaced so Mattel could sell new toys
4. Hot Rod is the worst
5. this was Orson Welles's final credited movie role; wherein he plays a planet that eats other planets
6. endless car puns
7. how this hot mess was still better than Michael Bay's versions
Â
I mean he basically killed Optimus
-
I showed this movie to my 10yr old brother this past Halloween and he enjoyed it and I still enjoyed it too. It's great, I have a soft spot in my heart for anything with those oldschool creature effects.
Â
"Old school creature effects" or as they used to be known, "Muppets"
-
Based on the clothes they're wearing, it's clear that all of the Nerd Poker Ratventuresâ„¢ episodes were recorded in a single session.
Â
It's annoying but I understand. If I were doing this show for years, I would probably want a month off at some point, too
Â

Not an expert by a long shot, but polymorph has long been considered a game breaker, because of those very reasons. Sark is limiting it to assuming a form of the same mass, which reigns it in a bit (Blackie might be able to turn into a rat-sized dinosaur.) That may be a house rule (someone will correct me if I'm wrong!)
Â
As OP as polymorph seems to be, I still feel like the gauntlet hand is twice as broken
-
I swear whenever Jerry wants a vacation he just kamikazees his character. I don't see he or Sarah in the pictures, so here's hoping that they come back soon
-
All the U2 fans are on the iTunes website giving this podcast 1 star and it's still averaging about 4 stars overall. I imagine they think this is some kind of troll job, but it's an amazing podcast in its own right
-
Jonah and Doug Benson sound so much alike you should book them both for the next U Talkin' U2 to Me? episode
-
I can see why characters in Sarks games die all the time.
Â
They level up once a year and they frequently forget what items/equipment they had.
Â
Underpowered characters plus sloppy play=death
Â
Gerry straight up had to run to his car to get his character sheet in the middle of the episode. I've actually never played D&D before, but I imagine that is important.
Â
Anyways, this is the best podcast out right now. I keep converting people left and right, all of whom are skeptical before they listen to an episode. It's just so good. Hopefully Gerry gets a new character soon as the show is not even close to the same without him

Has Chuck Norris made an appearance on this podcast? Once of his shitty films really deserves to be taken apart because, fuck you Internet, he's terrible. If you guys think this is the best one to mock, then so be it. Still, Sidekicks might make for a better episode:

Â
Either way, I'm down.
Â
Um have you heard Chuck Norris talk lately? he would be talking about how Muslims are in league with the Illuminati after about ten minutes

Funniest thing about Zouk is that all of Andy Daly's characters now have these bizarre twists to them since they're always paired together on CBB. I can't imagine a local politician creating a 50 foot monster made of sewn together children in the name of Satan or the poet laureate of cowboys fighting mummies without him.
Â
Also it's great that this is on Thursdays. Now I have
CBB - Monday
HDTGM - Tuesday
Nerd Poker - Wednesday
ADPPP - Thursday
Â
Earwolf is bonkers right now. It's amazing to see how far it's come

That is both beautiful and absolutely horrifying.

But it's practical and not wasteful

I saw that Ventura article the other day and immediately thought of Adomian. So glad he is doing a parody of this

So it's been two days now and nobody has fan art of Blackie surfing with the half eaten dwarf while wearing sun glasses and board shorts on a tidal wave of rats yet. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't incredibly disappointed.
-
I'm still disappointed this hasn't been done yet. It has to have the most plot holes in history for a major motion picture and it is also the most angry I have ever gotten watching a movie in my life. It was just so frustrating to watch a movie that completely doesn't believe in physics or reality on even a basic level. It just doesn't make any sense arghggh
-
This could be in the wheelhouse of the podcast. It's bad, but it's entertaining. I've seen it twice, but I was drinking both times so I wasn't thinking about it critically. There needs to be huge plot holes for the gang to do their best work and I don't remember any glaring out from when I saw it. Then again, it was terrible and I was drunk

Â
That movie is too depressing. Here is a weird video of the female lead's dad instead. I love this song
-
Â
I think the first Street Fighter movie is vastly superior to this, however in this one at least some fighting does take place in the streets
Â
So maybe this movie will at least clear things up for June
-
Â
I can't get enough of
1. The blatant goal-tend at the beginning (although, it is street ball, so I can let this one slide)
2. Dunking from the free-throw line without a running start, just one step
3. the slow-motion "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!"
4. The ease with which the 3rd basket is scored
Â
I love this movie, so much
Â
and 5.) the main bad kid's outfit. A POW hat and a shirt that says AWESOME on it? And he's in 6th grade? What?
-
Ride along is probably not likely, since Jason Mantzoukas co-wrote it...
Â
Awesome, I hope he gets paid. I'm glad I put in the 75% audience approval part now
-
Did anybody see any of these yet? They all look awful, although Ride Along at least has a 75% general public score. Devil's Due looks especially bad - I would love to hear about that one. The first two made a ton of money though, ugh
-
I don't get how the serpent thingy was able to use a bite attack several times and toss trondoor in the air with his mouth when he had the staff wedged in there. That was bothering me
-
Let's get ready to rumble might be the best overall. The episodes without fighting tend to be better, but I think that the fight with the dwarven gladiator lizard was a lot better than some of the older fights. I remember when they were fighting the water elemental king and it was just kind of boring, when it should have been this big, epic fight. This one was great, especially Jerry's drunken paladin getting his drink refilled, etc.
Â
I still think that they should have guests come in on an episode by episode basis to serve as evil and good characters. I would love Patton coming in as a bard or something, but even something random like getting the Mexicutioner from that Halo story to come in and try to play as an evil axe dude would be amazing. I can only imagine how that would turn out
-
Wow was Steven Baldwin trying to rape a scientist in that trailer? Wtf?

It was driving me nuts that nobody was thinking of the rats in the cages before they did this, they could have easily gone to check on those dwarf/rats instead of getting the confirmation on Gore. I thought that maybe Sark was going to say that the adventurerers would change faster than the others since of Brian's cure disease/uncurse tingle, since the rules said they wouldn't be fully cured unless Brian was 12th level or higher, but it would at least stall things if they had that cast on them within 3 days of the curse. I think Sark really just wanted the imagery of a dwarf sluice and you could tell he was planning on this happening from the second he introduced the cages.
Â
I feel like Mildred would have noticed it!
