hie to kolob is a real 1%er of a mormon theology joke...kolob in mormon theology is the closest planet in the universe to heaven and so heaven is a real location somewhere you could like fly a rocket ship to....this sounds really crazy to outside folks who dont have anything invested in the whole thing so it is not usually mentioned at all. there is a mormon hymn called "If you could hie to Kolob" that is basically never actually sung, but it means to go quickly there in ye olde 1800s english sometimes mormon people say this thing to each other but it is very insider-y and kind of jokey if you still dont get it thats ok, someone somewhere will hear you say this and go "lol' and everyone else will hear it and go "wtf" or we can cut it eta: btw pronunciation would be like "High to Ko-lob"

ok i got skype installed again, my name is crefl0 . i'm going to try to come up with another script or two coming up soon. i've got some deece ideas percolating. hit me up and we can do some script chat or just toss ideas around, i will try to remember to turn skype off when i am unavailable :v i tend to do stuff with the sound off on my pc so i might not notice a call right away so this may be worthless but what the heck

http://www.scribd.com/doc/235325655/Raise-the-Stakes-Final there we go, i took one last sweep over it and tuned it up about as much as I can. if you're down to record a part, please do so, and figure out a way to get it to showshowbro. i'll see about doing the fred walsh part, though its hard to find a time when my family isnt being noisy AND where i wont be keeping them up, so if anyone else wants to volunteer speak up! and im not sure if tim treese will be able to do a part during his travels, so i may need someone else to do Tip Swinden. i'll send him a message on facebook.

trying to coax an entire story out of "nos420atu"...does the vampire smoke weed? does he only drink the blood of stoners? did legalized weed lead to mutant strains that make people vampires? all of the above?

actually after re-reading it i'm kind of leaning against adding it too, i do like the extra characterization it gives the host, but its a big road block when the script without it was just full speed ahead the whole way

http://www.scribd.co...takes-Alternate thought of a p good twist for the extra scene, let me know what you folks think. do we keep the extra round with the baseline game/throwing listeners off the scent, or stick to the shorter version?
-
im afraid i might be a little mush-mouthy with that gross michigan accent but i will maybe give it a try, i was thinking i'd be more of a writer than a performer i get where you're coming from TKS but the way im seeing it is that as a listener, you turn this thing on, and oh, haha, its a parody of a game show sketch, the host is making dumb jokes and the contestant is winning silly prizes, thats funny. i guess its going on after that first guy, huh? all right, lets see....wait, what? and then the following two take the name of the show and RAISE THE STAKES to opposite extremes. i think i will write it up that way as a possible alternate and see how it works.
-
i think im talking myself in to adding the extra scene :v
-
well on the other hand, if the beginning round has some jokes it will throw you off the scent of whats coming next...the idea in my head is that this game has too many rules and ways it can be played, so the first guy is kind of like that guy who memorized the light pattern on press your luck and won a million dollars or w/e, then the second guy sees that and tries to rip him off and it goes the other way for him because he doesnt have the knowledge if the first round is dumb jokes+loud laugh tracks the second round being a guy becoming king of the world and then a lovecraftian god would probably hit harder but it would be longer and require another character and possibly by round 3 listeners may be going "ok ok i get it"
-
i was actually thinking a totally normal run-through of the show first before going to the extremes, but i was thinking maybe that would be running it in to the ground some? BUT i could definitely put together something like that also i thought i'd try to keep the number of characters down to make it easier to put together, originally the commercials were going to be separate things but i dropped them straight in for the same reason still, i could put that in front, especially if you want to volunteer to play that character TKS ;P also also i was thinking Andy Daly for Fred Walsh :v Dick Tweed was Chuck Woolery in my head the whole time tbh, as somewhat reflected in the name
-
i know we still have GHOST JOHN to work on, but i would like to request some folks for RAISE THE STAKES once we're ready to get started on that: Dick Tweed: Bozos of Basketball Jim Kennings: Showshowbro Tip Swinden: Tim Treese (if he is willing to do it, i dont think he necessarily volunteered but i legit had his voice in my head while writing that character) Fred Walsh i dont have anyone in mind for, so thats up for grabs

holy sh*t,paige got one of the best lines in, "i thought we were going to six flags" folks saying this was the best episode are right because it was the best episode, especially at around 54:52

also Fred Walsh will be reappearing as the announcer on Night Night whenever i get back to that idea.
