@Richard Moreno: When I finished watching the trailer, I got this Early (80's?) Sarah Silverman Standup clip as a Recommended Video. So bonus! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEb-sXmcMLE#t=28

I don't trust my memories of anything anymore. Paul has shown me to look towards Amazon reviews instead. And this movie has some GREAT ones. "I've been waiting patiently forever for this movie to finally come out on DVD. Nicholas Cage, John Lovitz and Dana Carvey make this movie utterly hilarious throughout. Cage plays the typical normal, logical, calculating brother of the 3. John Lovitz is the brother you can never trust and Carvey is a goofy, klepto-maniac who hardly uses any common sense. When these 3 come together in a scene it's hard to imagine something funny "not" happening. 3 Diverse and conflicting personalities make for a great comedy farse!" "movie was a little uninteresting." and this one, which is edited like this, line-for-line: "My wife and I enjoyed this movie to rate as one of our favorites. When you think about this movie, remember the funny lines and mannerisms from the characters that didn't need sex or swearing to make this movie oveall just enjoyable. This movie brought humor and a warm side to the story. Dana Carvey, nailed this performance as the total idiot brother, and to see Cages frustration in dealing with his siblings. It's amazing how many people never saw or heard of this movie. Definitely a movie that deserves praise...I rated this movie a 5 for its creativity without having to bring profanity, violence, or sex to the screen." If it has reviews like these (just a small sample), I think it's probably HDTGM-worthy.

Only wanna see the crew do this if they can get Besser as a guest. There was an episode of Improv 4 Humans where Matt Besser talked about how he didn't understand the hate being targeted at ASM2 (like, right after it released, if I remember right?). His thinking was that, he liked them having more villains, because it meant no wasting time on retelling the origin story yet again (which I agree with) - they just get to the action. Which doesn't really deal with practically everyone else's thinking being, "They're just going to screw up everyone, not develop anything, and have far too messy a script to do anything right". My point is, if they do ASM2, Besser should be guest, so he can see what the rest of the World sees in this messy, awful, disappointing, overstuffed, undercooked sequel The lowest earning Spider-Man movie in the entire series so far. Plus I just like Besser, and he hasn't been a guest on HDTGM yet: http://www.earwolf.c...on/matt-besser/ EDIT: It was the episode where Besser was guesting on "Who Charted?" with Armin Weitzman co-hosting alongside Kulap to fill in for Howard, not Improv 4 Humans.

Man, oh man... the wonders of Russian Dash-Cam captures! Here's a guy who cuts off by a van, ends up getting out because they wanna fight him over it, and then gets beat up by said driver (and the other occupants)..... and who they are is GLORIOUS! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wnsdc7cTPuU#t=49 -
Love Drunk History! And I love Derek Waters now - not just for being great himself, but for turning me onto Louis Theroux. Here's the video he was talking about, where he was at the West Borough Baptist Church and get them to make themselves look like fools http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pxE6_VY8aM

In it a Nintendo system they are playing backstage catches a virus, allowing for all of the characters to be released from the game and skate on ice. I love hearing Jimmy and Matt discuss KISS so much now. Especially how it always comes back to how horrible Gene is - I love how that's a shocking thing. But shouldn't one expect the members of KISS - the "Knights in Service of Satan" (or "Knights in Satan's Service" - I forget) - to be kinda shitty human beings? lol xD The surprise should be that they turned out to be pretty cool there, for the most part. Well, maybe not Gene. jk I love these discussions. I love this podcast - thanks for bringing a free weekly episode to Earwolf, guys =D -- Oh, and thanks a lot Matt for getting this stuck in my head http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwhvByj8YG8 -

Man, I wonder why we don't hear more of Earwolfman Jack in ads for all the shows here on Earwolf! He's a classic character! So is "The Nerd"! Their banter is amazing. I know these are technically "ads", but man I could listen to a lot more of those two! Best ad campaign ever! Way to go, Earwolf Marketing team. -

Has Jake discussed "Dollers" yet? a.k.a. Animegao? People love to rip on Furries all the time, and I know Jake knows better - I just listened to the episode with the Sklar Brother where they saw that vid about how Furries aren't (all) perverts. So let's all direct that kind of internet shaming at this messed up trend among cosplayers, huh? Because holy sh*t. There is nothing that isn't wrong about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE8IdUeV5OY -

Turns out it's the same guy who does all this stuff. And this video is the best at explaining it. He actually builds all the puppets from scratch, complete with the robotic parts for moving mouths and whatnot. I guess I should've put this up first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8xdJDpAnQQ&list=UUNj5bCf-RRTmyaL_Pj-TkqQ&index=6 -

( ^ - ^ ) Sounds like Gaby Dunn is really gonna enjoy this movie, "Dear White People..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uag2G0J6iqw&list=PLS3H3pmF9fVf4LEcZXu-u60sVU8ylbxae -

Botched "Expendables 3" Title Art
VinsanityV22 replied to PlanBFromOuterSpace's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I always thought the series was PG-13 anyway. It's such a silly, fun, video gamey romp. You want gore and violence, go watch The Raid: Redemption or The Raid 2... or even the last Rambo movie. Which, to be fair, is still video gamey. In the one scene where Rambo is on the turret, he gets hit with one bullet that grazes his shoulder, he goes down for a bit - you can practically hear Master Chief's shield recharge sound effect kick in - then he gets back up and finishes murdering thousands of extras. That banner is unbelievably crappy. Jeez louise. That is shocking. -
A WHOLE WAHLBERG PODCAST!? ON EARWOLF!? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4lEkimhYoA I just started re-listening to The Foglenest Files, and they talked about this on Episode 2 with Paul F. Tompkins and Jon Daly (scrub to 11:33 here -- http://www.earwolf.c...orld-of-cinema/ ). Now I want to hear it discussed in length on HDTGM. Any of those guys would be fantastic guest, btw. Later on, they also chat about Howard the Duck, and then HDTGM did that movie. This has all the bonkers you could need! It's an 80's comedy, it has black face, it's got crazy outdated thinking - there's so much to laugh at, and yet, it's not a complete lifeless turd of a comedy. It's not "Deck the Halls". This was a good movie back in '86. I mean, Jake introduces it like, "This is a film from 1986 and I just want to set it up by saying that when this movie came out people liked it!". Other choice quotes from Jake, Paul or Daly: "James Earl Jones agreed to this! If (he) was cool with it, why aren't we!?" "Do you think Sidney Poitier passed" "They could've stopped this so many times (before it reached the public)" "It's the, 'I Pronounce you, Chuck and Larry' of it's day" "That was a movie!" And all that came from JUST THE TRAILER! Imagine what the HDTGM crew could say for the WHOLE MOVIE!!! -- EDIT: Whoever moved this into the pre-existing Soul Man thread, Thank you. I used the Search function, didn't see it, and so I made a new one in error. I apologize. And again, thanks. Sorry for wasting a bit of your time.

I really love it whenever Gino stops by Real shame that Wompler's birthday bash DIDN'T actually go to Six Flags NJ. It was amazing, but Gino would've made it better. Anyway, took his advice and threw your way, Kulap! Enough to cover another sh*thead who won't donate, apparently Wish you the best of luck! Great episode!

Episode 91 — The 1st Annual Howdies Pt. 1
VinsanityV22 replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Good on Paul for shutting down the replay of the Howard the Duck-discussion here on the Howdies But jeez. Let's clarify the Street Fighter discussion. So many laughs directed at June, but then all the guys completely fail to adequately describe just what a "Street Fighter" is. Simply put, they would be someone who fights, but doesn't do it professionally. That's it. You don't fight in a ring - you're not a boxer. You don't fight in an octagon - you're not a mixed martial artist. You're not a pro-wrestler. You're not a pro-hockey player. You fight wherever, like on the streets. Kimbo Slice-style. Street Fighter = done. Not hard, you guys Is is similar to Fight Clubs, but that is still an organization of some sort. These are just people who get into, or happen to get into, fights anywhere. And can fight really well. They've all learned some sort of fighting style at some point in their lives, but that's not where their careers are based around. They all have jobs. Guile is a soldier, Chun Li is a spy or investigative journalists or something, etc. Ryu is a martial artist, but a "pure" one - he goes to the mountains and whatnot to train, he doesn't sign a contract with Pride FC or something. So fighting is not their profession. Their fights aren't legally sanctioned by any officiating body. There aren't any referees. They're street fighters like that. I think that's clarification enough, yes? I hope it is. This needs to be put to sleep Also the Howard the Duck evolution thing. But someone else needs to do that. I think it would require explaining evolution from scratch and that sounds like it could take awhile for people who don't get it. It even takes Ted Ed 5 minutes to do it ( ). That's 5 minutes too many to explain how the ducks evolved into upright species, how the human-like duck breasts were a genetic mutation several ancestors ago, how the gene pool changed over time, and how the "Howard level"-ducks are the equivalent of where Humans are, evolution-wise, on their planet. But this is not a fun discussion to have... ever.... ever I loved this ep! I was losing my sh** for so much of this stuff, even though I heard it before. I don't care - any time anyone does a Al Pacino or Sly Stallone impression it's hilarious. All of the guests - comedians and movie-makers - are amazing. The stories are crazy (still can't believe about Crocodile Dundee 3)... man, HDTGM is amazing! It's so weird the first Howdies happened after no.90 though, but I can't wait until episode 181 to hear the next Howdies -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIfh0XMrg6w&list=UUBGzCVpJFb-MPehbNoK173w One more for me. This time, a Hawaiian Punch ad from the 80's featuring music from Mark Mothersbaugh (of Devo and Rugrats). But let's face it; the real star is the 80's CGI (computer generated imagery). Can't believe how far we've come in 20 years. And how much crazier/cooler things looked back then, if you ask me . -

I am really curious to hear what Jake & co. make of this nightmare-fuel Japanese "ad campaign" (?). It's from some artist guy named Takashi Murakami, who's weird as shit, even by Japan standards. But a freaky ass android with puberty problems? This has to win a prize for brain-melting madness and nightmares. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZagGfBC7wPU -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7GFU5ncKhU This one needs/deserves some explanation maybe. So this is a music video for "Star Fleet Project". A concept album by Brian May of Queen. Apparently, the dude was such a huge fan of the show Star Fleet (a.k.a. X-Bomber in Japan), that he got a little obsessed with it, gathered some friends up and did this to honor it. It's the same kind of thing as Thunderbirds (SUPER MARIONATION), except it was a UK/Japan co-production I believe, and created by Go Nagai, the creator of Mazinger Z and Cutie Honey. Seems like a weird thing to get that obsessed about, but Brian May is the man and can do what he wants, lol. This is awesome in it's own way. -

Yes, but this movie isn't explicitly about bad movies. Remember Fast Five? This is ostensibly just about how movies get made. Baffling movies. Movies that shouldn't have been. Somewhere, some visionary had something he HAD to bring to the screen and share with humankind. And somehow, an army of executives and focus groups DIDN'T get in his way and destroy it. This kind of movie is a miracle. And that sort of achievement deserves to be talked about.
