From what I read he did a re-write of the initial script, which was then re-wrote by screenwriting team for the final. Best guess is about 30% of his jokes made it through. If it was all him, obviously it would have made over $120 million opening weekend.

Has anyone actually read this book? I just flipped through a couple reviews. People that mention the adaptations say that Cobra was WAY off (shocking), and even Fair Game wasn't that faithful to the source material. Very curious if a decent book can spawn two horrendous movies.

He could never find distribution for it, so he ended up selling it via late night infomercials. Then he ended up selling lots of shit on late night infomercials cause he made so much money at it. I'm lobbying for this movie and Homefront, mostly cause I like it when the crew does a theatrical release. Now that the Twilight sagais done, I don't want them to abandon theatrical flicks. Homefront seems like it'll be pretty enjoyable, in that over the top Roadhouse kind of way. This movie looks like a real what the fuck turd, though. Lionsgate really need to drop the trailer so I can post it here...
