  1. Neil was hilarious! And technically there should only be 276 farts around a 24 hr clock, not 300. The clock never actually hits 24:00, it goes from 23:59 to 00:00. -Fart Clock Police

    Live Summer Tour Podcasts

One does not simply "Google Boys". You have to go to computer.com, then use google to bing YouTube, and from that point on you should be able to find your way to Boys.

    Live Summer Tour Podcasts

Great show, Patton + Sarah were huge surprises! I heard from their merch guy (and engineer?) that their cab showed up earlier than expected and they all had to leave pretty quick after the show which is why they didn't come out to greet.

    Episode 168 — Breaking Bread

After hearing Besser's great rants on religion/atheism (notably i4h 29 and 29.5) I was thrilled to finally have it spill over into CBB. As overdone as priest molestation jokes are, I felt like he played off that and went for the cheesy predictable angle on purpose. Hiding a small boy in his hat, for example. I am however disappointed that he didn't parody "sermon on the mount" with "semen in the mouth", as that quickly became topical later on in the podcast. On a side note, I think it's important to keep raising the issue of priest molestation until every one of those sick fucks are brought to justice. Doing it comedically is the best way to raise the issue IMHO as it gets people thinking about it in a lighthearted way, yet it still raises the issue to everyone and possibly introduces it to those who have been ignorant or unaware.

    Episode 168 — Breaking Bread

Easily my favorite episode of 2012, never a dull moment, you guys killed it! Loved the pope, Matt Besser is perfect at doing characters like that, and being blasphemous/anti-religion in general

    Question about Brody Stevens

Having heard him on quite a few podcasts now I think it's just his shtick. Something to make him stand out, and I think it works! Positive Energy! Another one he does is "Steven. Brody. Stevens", his real name is actually Steven Brody, thought Brody Stevens was a more memorable standup name, now I think he jokingly tries to go by Steven Brody Stevens and that's how he corrects people when they introduce him as Brody Stevens. I think it was on Ari Shaffirs Skeptic Tank podcast where they discussed the name thing.

    Newcomer to Comedy Bang Bang

Gotta give another vote to any episodes with Andy Daly, Paul F Tompkins, and/or James Adomian. I also found I was going back and listening to any other episode that had someone I was already a big fan of on. The 3 live shows from Bumbershoot last year are available to purchase in the store, I think it's $10 for all three, but they are some of the greatest CBB moments ever, and all three episodes have Andy and Paul playing different characters on them, with a different guest each show. Highly recommended!
  18. Came here to ask the same thing, really want to show my support as well as catch every episode in Canada. Watched one episode so far and it is just terrific! Funniest thing I have seen in a long, long time, looking forward to the rest!

    Episode 156 — Anniversary Party!

This episode was full of awesome, and a worthy tribute to the last 3 years! ONLY possible thing that could have made it better would be if Hot Dog had made an appearance CBB is literally the first thing on my mind on Monday mornings and is the sole reason I arrive at work on time. Thanks for all the laughs!

Neil Hamburger - Death metal band frontman?

That's awesome Dustin, thanks for the info! I remember years ago, on a Mr Bungle mailing list, there was a loooong argument about whether or not Neil Hamburger and Gregg Turkington were the same person. The Neil voice and Gregg's voice in Faxed Head seemed obvious to me, but a few people were convinced that they were different people, and that Gregg was Neil's manager or something like that. Sounds ridiculous now I know, but back then, even Wikipedia didn't directly make the connection. Luckily there were a couple folks on the mailing list who also knew Neil personally and were able to offer personal testimonies to convince the skeptics that Neil and the singer for FH were indeed the same person. Oh, what I wouldn't give for a Faxed Head reunion...
  22. I used to be a huuuge fan of the band Mr. Bungle and everything related, and my first introduction to Neil Hamburger (as Gregg Turkington as McPatrick Head) several years ago was his involvement as the front man in a comedy/death metal band called Faxed Head, alongside Mr. Bungle guitarist Trey Spruance. Just wanted to share in case anyone hadn't heard of the band. It's basically an experiemental doomy-metal self-parody kind of band with more or less comedy lyrics/vocals. Neil Hamburger - Death metal band frontman?

Haha, yeah, the deathly wind on the actual CD version of the song lasts for over 3 minutes... it's literally about half of the entire song. Have heard of Boris but hadn't actually made a point to ever sit and listen to them... I like it!

Episode 153 — Jing It Or Ding It!

Great bonus episode! Found myself laughing uncontrollable at Jing it or Ding it, hope to see that game stick around... the Jaws theme was just priceless.
  25. Incredible, can't wait to see this!!! Edit: I mean, HEAR this... Still struggling with my continual efforts to actually see podcasts.
