I legit love this movie. It's ridiculous, but it knows it's ridiculous. The Yolanda And Steve video? *Jason impression* Amazing. It has some superbly mockable moments in it, though. Like Michael Gambon doing his role in his English accent because his American accent wasn't up to the role, forcing them to add dialogue explaining he was brought up in the UK.

this was the first movie where Aahnold played a parody of Aahnold. It's amazing he went from Terminator 2 to this in a year or so.

A hundred times this. This movie is delightfully awful. For insider info or insight you could get pro wrestlers and standup comedians Mick Foley and Colt Cabana as guests

My answer is, essentially, "meh". If a lady wants to style and profile in that way, I'm not going to stop her, but I'm also not going to insist upon it. Whether the ladygarden is scrupulously tended or a gorgeous natural wilderness, it is a land of delights and wonders and I am lucky to be invited.

not that I'm going to be as rude about it as A Plonk, but I will confess that I skipped the rest of the episode when the astrology talk started. I hope it beings Elizabeth and Kulap much joy, but I consider it to be nonsense on a creationism/homeopathy level. Oh well, I deeply enjoy the show usually, so I'll just skip over it. Nobody has to conform to my standards.

Ken is such a great guest. Thanks for a super enjoyable show, guys.

this has probably been mentioned, but here's my biggest turn off when it comes to Phish: Phish fans. I know there are some Phish fans in this thread, and I'm sure most of you are fine, but some of you pull shit like insisting I listen to a live album from 1997 when I was perfectly happy reading a book, and glare at me if I start reading again. I have a couple of friends who are Phish fans who fulfill the Winston Churchill definition of a zealot: "someone who can't change his mind and won't change the subject". At this point they run up against my inner obstinacy. At a certain point of continued overenthusiasm it stops being "I don't really like this because it's not my kind of thing" and becomes "I don't really like this because fuck you." I should stress, this isn't all Phish fans, but it's been more than a couple.

If you keep with the Finn lyrics, on probably his second biggest hit you get the line "Julius Caesar and the roman empire couldn't conquer the blue sky". The difference for me is this: Neil Finn sings with a sincerity and beauty that makes abject nonsense sound meaningful. Trey sings with kind of an inner smirk, like he's just blown away by how whacky he's being right now.

Marino is 7 kinds of awesome. Very cool.

Considering that Jesse was a judge on one week of the challenge, I'd guess it's kosher. Good to see cross cultivation between two of my favourite podcasts.

Kulap and Kremer's Klan?

I'm not sure how anyone can complain about the musical guests on Comedy Bang Bang: 1) you are getting this for free 2) the most recent musical guest was Nick Lowe. How can anyone complain about a show that features the Jesus of Cool?

I think my problem with Phish is that they're good ingredients (apart from Trey's vocals) in a recipe I don't like. I absolutely appreciate their musicianship, but the end result of their music is just something I don't find appetizing. I don't think it's a question of me not getting it, but rather me not liking it. I'm reminded of the line in Community about Paul Rudd: I can see the appeal, and I would never deny them to anybody, but I also would never queue up for them. Plus, there's something about the lyrical style and the way the lyrics are sung that just take me out of the musical experience entirely.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Roller_Blade_Seven This is a near legendarily bad movie. It's written, produced by, and starring Scott Shaw, a martial artist, rollerblader, and general nutcase. It's set in a postapocalyptic world where Scott Shaw plays a martial artist and rollerblader who believes that the way to inner peace and triumph is doing martial arts while rollerblading. I think I see a theme emerging. It was directed by Donald G Jackson, who also directed such epics as Hell Comes To Frogtown. it was produced in Scott Shaw's "zen filmmaking" style, where no script was used. The cast features such silver screen luminaries as Martin Sheen's brother, Sylvester Stallone's brother and porn star Jill Kelly. I have asked "how did this get made" more about this movie than any other I have ever seen.
