Rotten Tomatoes 60 Worst Reviewed Summer Movies
seanotron replied to Lando's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I had no idea Cocktail was so reviled. I'm not saying it's a good movie, I just thought it was more enjoyably bad than intolerably bad. -
This is a good one. It's dumb, but entertaining enough that it's not a total slog to get through.
-
RIPD looks like a low-grade cross between Ghostbusters and Beetlejuice, minus the humor. It's too bad, because I do love James Hong and Jeff Bridges. Ryan Reynolds though...he's always reminded me of Dane Cook, and that's not a good association for me.

Ooof, this is a rough one.

I have not listened yet, but I just wanted to say YAY! for Jerrod. His appearances on CBB have always been great.

Ok, I originally objected to this movie being covered, but I was clearly out of my mind. Not only did you get The Chocktaw, but you gave it to us as a b-b-b-b-b-b-onus episode! Scary boob everybody!

I love this movie. LOVE IT.

Yeah, I see no reason why Tonto *had* to be a racist character. Just put him on equal footing with The Lone Ranger, don't hire a white guy to play him, and don't have him speak pidgin English. I really don't think it's that hard.

Episode 7 β A Crazy Moment in Phishtory
seanotron replied to Brett Arnold's topic in Analyze Phish
It's almost as if this is all just a big joke to him! -
Yeah, I pretty much rule out any Syfy movie as being HDTGM material.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
seanotron replied to NeilMiddleton's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Well, it they want to stay that true to Alan Moore, they'll also include poorly-written female characters and lots of rape. I don't watch the show any more, but I was often quite entertained by how far Bones seemed to push the ick factor with corpses. But FX loves to push the ick factor with sex, so I guess Fox has it covered either way. -
X-Files: I Want to Believe

Robert Patrick is good, but I could not attach to that character (or the Reyes character). Including them in the movie would have just pissed me off, because it would remind me of the two terrible years they were on the show. -
Definitely a good one, but there are several threads for this already http://forum.earwolf.com/topic/5901-the-horror-of-congo/page__hl__congo__fromsearch__1 http://forum.earwolf.com/topic/9664-congo-1995/page__hl__congo__fromsearch__1

Episode 7 β A Crazy Moment in Phishtory
seanotron replied to Brett Arnold's topic in Analyze Phish
This was a real treat. I wasn't expecting them to return to this format after the Analyze Fish episodes, but I'm absolutely tickled that they did. I also agree that Mean Scott is a kick since we so rarely see him. And while this is what Phish generally sound like to me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNHIFM0Y87c I still love hearing Wittels nerd out over them. -
Radio (2003) - Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Ed Harris

Why is it when Hollywood thinks of a disabled person, they automatically go with buck teeth? -
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
seanotron replied to NeilMiddleton's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
Weirdly enough, I think this could work as a TV series much better than a movie. But you need to stick closer to the depictions in the graphic novel. But it's being made by Fox, so expect it be cancelled right after it gets good. -
X-Files: I Want to Believe
seanotron replied to internetbrendan's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
X-Files should have ended once David D decided to leave, but they tried to limp along and we got those lousy 2 seasons with the T-1000. Season 6 is really my cutoff. Season 7 is 50/50, though Bablyon AD is still one of my favorites, maybe because it's the show making fun of itself and they did it so well. Still, I understand why they wanted to a non-alien X-Files movie. The alien plotline was so played out by the end. They wanted to return to the spooky one-offs from the early years but they just didn't pull it off. -
Ahh, I love Andy but I'm in such disagreement about his Pixar comment. Kids are so much tougher than we like to think. Obviously you have to gauge it based on your kid's sensitivity, but I doubt Pixar movies are going to cause that much damage. They're far more likely to be ruined by their parents

X-Files: I Want to Believe
seanotron replied to internetbrendan's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I agree with Elitist Prick. This just isn't bad enough to make a good episode. I think it was more disappointing to X-Files fans than anyone else. It was basically an extended, middling episode. -

Episode 66 β Demolition Man: LIVE!
seanotron replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
There was something extremely Schumacher-y about this movie. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that thought that. -

This is on AMC right now. Coincidence? Or does Paul secretly own AMC? YOU DECIDE. -

I'm glad Paul was able to join the gang remotely from his nuclear fallout shelter in Nicaragua.
