People kill me with this "Tebow's just a humble guy/he's not making himself the center of attention" thing. Dude was in commercial for a Christian org during the Super Bowl. Sandy Koufax sat out to observe his religion, he didn't take out ad time during the most watched event to announce why. Far as I know Koufax didn't go up to people in the middle of a game and say "I was just thinking...our God's a great God isn't he?" or asking if all assembled should pray before taking the Wonderlicht Test. There's a difference between observing your religion and proselytizing non stop. And the Sklars said nothing even REMOTELY "borderline hateful".

Episode 56 — Best of improv4humans Vol. 2
Corky Kneivel replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Yes it was from a very early episode, maybe like 4 or 5. I was crying laughing the first time I heard it. The way they start hitting on Jill's "juiced up" comment & Matt's ricdiculously scumbaggy "Not Nostradamus" character just slay me. This collection is fantastic. -
Episode 54 — Why or Why Not?

Also do the scenes suggested for Best Of Vol. 2 need to be only ones made since the last one was put together? Or can they be scenes from episodes before that? -
Episode 54 — Why or Why Not?

Best episode in a while. John Gabrus has now moved onto the list of my favorite performers. I knew the voice from previous episodes and he always cracked me up but I had never put the name with the voice. The Eric the formerly paid intern stuff was tremendous. I would have thought beforehand that a whole show based off his crappy interviews would be too much but no this was fantastic. I liked Gabrus taking him to task even more than Matt for the quality of the interviews. Matt intimated to Eric that he was with 4 improv teachers and I wonder if perhaps that’s the driving force of why I found this episode so good. Even with all the giggling going on it was focused and cohesive, and that seemed to be really lacking from last two episodes. My favorite episodes are the ones like this one where they use everything and just go with it. Right at the opening “Why or Why Not” is a prime example. It was a great hit off the audio clip, right out the gate, and they all fell in line with adding rules and defining how the game was played. Loved it. Sorry I misspoke, not the past two episodes but the last one the RIOT LA one. Which pretty much nullifies my comment about a lack of cohesion and focus because “Too Soon” & “Suck a Dick” were both awesome as shit. So scratch the compare/contrast shit, this episode was just fucking great. -
Such a great show. Some of the live shows have been the best this podcast has to offer. This one now joins the ranks of the likes of Birdemic and Superman III. Brian Posehn is a perfect fit for this show.

Yes. The more Gumbel the better. I miss his raw-bone routines. There was one story he had about messing with Greg, I think it was during Thanksgiving or something, and the Sklars were dying laughing. It was infectious. Top 5 guests: Gumbel Tim Gunn Randy Moss' dog Bruce jenner Jesse The Mind ventura

Love this show so much. I've been listenign since the first couple episodes. Got my Sklarbro Country T-shirt in the mail last week and upon opening the package and showing my daughters, my 13 year old shouted "Henderson!". As of this post I still haven't got a chance to wear it as my she apparently claimed squatter's rights on it and has yet to give it back.

Episode 47 — Why You Jabber Jabber?
Corky Kneivel replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Heh. I knew I’d take some lumps for doing it that way but, whaddyagonnado? A question was asked and never let it be said that I won’t take the time to timestamp an answer. EDITED TO ADD: I still think Matt sounds pretty well lit while failing to remember the phrase. -
Episode 47 — Why You Jabber Jabber?

When I made the above comment is was a few days after I had listened and as I remembered it you were pretty monotone at parts and reacted slowly in places. I’m re-listening now to determine which moments gave me the impression you were stoned, and where they are exactly. 7:45-8:20 - It seemed like there was a brief confusion with you and Danielle during the first scene as to what the game was and your voice sounds…stoned? Sorry but that’s the best word I can use to describe it. Maybe its because you were playing a kid? 13:20-14:15; 15:40-16:15 - The way you stop yourself, forget shit, get mixed up on what you wanted to say, and deliver the horse stories sounds very stoned. This is where I originally started wondering, by the way. Especially at the 2nd part when you’re forgetting what they call Paul Revere. Was it a town crier? 34:10; 35:00 – You do this very low very minimal mumble laugh below all the girls laughing during the story of Danielle’s prematurely balding first kiss. For whatever reason the 1st time I listened to this I thought, “Man he’s baked out of his fucking gourd right there”. hahaha So I acknowledge after going back and doing this everything that made me think “I wonder if he’s stoned” is easily me just reading into it. -

Is it me or did Matt sound incredibly stoned during this episode? -
Episode 1 - Julie Klausner, Chris Gethard

TOTALLY FORGOT to say that I remember seeing the Fear performance on Comedy Central in the early-to-mid 90s when they re-ran 30 minute SNLs. It would always be 2 sketches, 1 song, 1 sketch, end. Don't know what the fuck I was doing watching a Doumainan era episode, but I vividly remember loving the song and losing my shit when I realized the lead singer was Lee Ving aka Mr. Boddy from Clue" -

Pancake speed dating is gold, pure gold. The way Matt Walsh keeps track of who's eaten what and invents rule son the fly with the truth or dare is just brilliant. -

Really really cool podcast, I loved it. Chris Gethard, not only a fantastic improviser, talks with the most infectious inflection. -
Oh. My. GOD. I cried laughing at “Dicky Dicky Doctor…get your Doctor ooooooonnnnnn”. I am laughing uncontrollably right now this sentence has taken 5 minutes to write.

HOLY SHIT that guy picked up a gun and said he'll name names and take no prisoners. The thing is bookended with his dog tags atop the constitution. Is he going to war with farmers from other countries? -
Episode 44 — Straight Holes

Matt Besser’s Halloween Mushroom story just made my vote for HOF Opening/Q&A. That last scene was so funny. I cracked up the whole time as you could hear Lauren Lapkus working through why she chose to go analingus, how she’s not proud of that being her go to, yet that is now her legacy…hahaha too good. I also loved MB needling her on it, acting as her boyfriend, “Oh…those guys” Side note: does anyone remember, and could you please remind me, which episode had people falling in love with the sun? I think Brian Huskey was pimping out the sun or something? -
Ugh. I'm bummed. This is the most discussion the Sklarbro boards see in a good while and its a bunch of whining about being offended. Long winded posts that make little sense and use the words "racist" and "homophobic" to describe someone simply saying the word "Jew" or "gay". Noone has even mentioned how fucking great it is to hear Pavement. That's the true hate crime here!

Episode 42 — Quadruple Mix-in
Corky Kneivel replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
When I saw the names of the performers I think I audibly yelped in excitement. Holy cats this episode delivered on my expectations, and then some. Lennon Parnham has never been anything but amazing on this show. Her broad insane characters are so fucking bonkers and I can’t think of any other guest performer who pulls that off as well (maaayyyybe Brian Huskey). This isn’t a dig at her at all but her voice makes me laugh too. Jason Matzoukas and Kessica St. Claire were with her every step of the way as well. HOF episode. -

The Sam Elliot calls are amazing. I love how he just abandons language in th emiddle of one. Then gets whistful and introspective at the end. Brilliant. I love your guys' show, love your comedy, hope you come back to Sacramento soon.

I too would like to thank Besser, though i'm thanking him for the referral to "Stuff You Missed in History Class". I've listened to at least a dozen episodes since yesterday: Captain Kidd, Blackbeard, Gangsters, Hoaxes, Otzi the Iceman, Fox Sisters, Mad Trapper of Rat River, The Real Frankenstein, lost colony at Roanoke, death of Poe, death of Mozart...you get the idea. I like the light touch, it dives in just enough and stays interesting throughout every topic. I'm an avowed history buff and this provides a nice counter to another fantastic podcast Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. Also I like that the hosts name, Dublina Truckerboardy, reminds me so much of my old Kindegarten teacher's name: Cuntalina Hitttler.

I’ve ordered my eggs over hard every time forever. Never once had a waitress not know what I was talking about. Hahaha I was actually kinda getting mad at Adam Pally for that. oH SHIT. I've never actually spit water or coffee or tea all over my keyboard laughing at a show...until just now when Matt besser said "James Holmes GUM". I just choked water out all ove the place from that.
