Only 6 minutes in and Paul F. Tompkins has mentioned Philip Glass, this is shaping up to be one of the best Who Charted's ever. I also get so damn inspired when Kulap introduces the guests.

Great episode, but Kevin Eubanks is a guitarist, not a bassist. Ya bassist racists

Holy shit! Settler's of Catan reference!

Since when was Splice a bad movie? It's a horror movie, and we all know there's nothing scarier than Adrian Brody's nose.

@ Sarah It was all in good fun, Tim always does the "wrong side of the bed" personality to evoke a tense situation. I think it's funny, but anyone who doesn't watch their show probably thinks they're just being jerks. There's a reason the first half of the podcast went so well and the last half was amazingly uncomfortable. In a great way.

Mantzoukas and Miller definitely talk with a similar intensity, while Aukerman and Adam are both very laid back. I can hear the similarities.

Race is so hard to define when getting into the "brown" category. Mantzoukas is the funniest podcast guest next to wittels and kroll, and that's saying something. I can't wait for a friday episode, we need more Kulap comic book talk.

Sarah = awesome

Tim tends to come off as a wrong side of the bed guy a lot, but it's an act, dry comedy. It's not too-cool-for-school, it's just not for everybody, not to mention I think this is Eric's first time being on a podcast. They could have arranged a whole skit about "spring dingers", but i do love the direction it went in with Tim slamming the door. Adomian as Paul Giamatti would have worked much better with T&E. They're geniuses, wake up and smell the chippies.

Take a couple Sudafed and it will all make sense.

I do hope someone dubs those looney toon sound effects in a short cut of this movie on youtube.

I remember walking out of a movie theater with a friend, it was a good movie too, but the first thing that came out of my mouth was "I can't wait until the next Analyze Phish episode". I don't know what that says about me or what I'm most entertained by recently but this podcast does rub off on people. This episode specifically was mind blowing, the whole quest to get Scott high put a smile on my face from beginning to end. Aukerman is very smart, but admittedly straight laced, and to bring up the point that your "veteran tripper" did feel something when he took the mushroom chocolates is probably because our seratonin receptors respond to familiar drugs much easier than ones your body has seldom been introduced to. Same with Cannabinoid receptors. Someone I know smoked pot with his girlfriend for the first time a couple weeks ago, very good pot i must say, and she insisted she didn't feel a damn thing. I had the same experience for at least the first five times I tried getting stoned. Mali is different though, the A in MDMA stands for Amphetamine, so i think he was feeling it and didn't notice until he got back to his hotel, hence the wired feeling. Ecstasy can be super fun, but the adrenaline of being in a big energetic crowd is like using a stimulant anyway.

This episode is a shining example of why Totally Laime is the most underrated podcast out there. The standard "back and forth" between you and Andy has me in tears with laughter. This show is not so much subjective and philosophical as it is brutally honest and organic, which is a breath of fresh air. I have to find out a way to express to people wanting podcast suggestions, how a married couple that talks about Oprah makes for some of the best listening. Here's for 2012, hopefully the Laimest year of them all!

These clips made my day better.

Tig Notaro is one of the best things that ever happened to comedy.

I thought Heratio was joking about the second city thing, the only person i can think of who was poisoned because he was hard to work with is james cameron. But they said bleach and i think someone just spiked cameron's drink with pcp. -

Haven't listened yet, but as a laimewad and a Jungian Psychology nut I am very excited about this one.

Episode 10 — Man with a Can
TheWolfDead replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
@ cody, i think they were talking about James Cameron. He was mildly poisoned on the set of titanic by a disgruntled crew member. -
I love Matt Besser, but his hugo movie pitch is basically Real Steel, and Hugo was definitley better than Real Steel.

Episode 28 — Director's Edition: Crank
TheWolfDead replied to admin's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Maynard James Keenan from TOOL was in Crank 2 as the guy using the electric dog collar on Statham, If you get Brian back bring it up! Great podcast as always. -
@ Plonk, there are thousands of examples to disprove that statement. Example #1 : Indira Gandhi

did Nick Kroll really only stop by in this for like 3 minutes?

Will you ever do a Blade 3 episode with Patton Oswalt, or a Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer episode with Brian Posehn?
