Multiple people on this forum do not feel safe sharing their opinion on the internet. Meanwhile, in Professor Blastoffland, some guys states his name, where he works and proceeds to talk into a microphone that will ultimately reach hundreds of thousand of pairs of ears and within 30 seconds is revealing that he's recovering from severe bulimia, alcoholism, a heavily disappointed father and a prolapsed anus.

Episode 81.5 — Bonus Cut: Special Issues
GarbageCan replied to admin's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Ya, the whole bracket thing between head/groin/hand was hilarious. -
Please don't die Jeff. Transitioning from a high paced never ending workload down to an average one, or in your case hopefully next to none, is a very odd thing (But a good thing). And at first you'll kind of find it hard to think of what to do with your free time; and at times the things you do will simply feel 'unproductive'. But revel in that slowness, take advantage of the fact that you can just spend time thinking of things your schedule never allows for in the busy times. Moving your head out of it's task oriented mode is liberating. Earwolf will survive. Take the time to make sure you do to.

This is scandalous.

While I feel that we're due for a trivial topic for a case closed segment, I would never want it to feel forced and so rather I would put forth to Matt that since it is engulfing these boards lately: A case closed segment on whether there should be a case closed segment on the podcast (Matt vs. someone who takes umbrage with it, like Astartes) And I would just like to say that while Matt was never sold on the name 'Case Closed', has never felt like a less appropriate name with all of the people on the fence about it.

That's also not it. The majority of your comment was "At least it makes for a white-noise hour that will help you fall asleep. I know comedians are competitive but holy shit, what is this?... Doug Loves Movie?" which is simultaneously just insulting CBB and DLM. Think in terms of a roast: people trying to get a laugh by making fun of people they know/love. If you're just meeting an overweight person for the first time, do you really think making a fat joke will make them laugh? My point is that polite criticism is much more appreciated, and has a better chance of being properly considered, rather than a derisive judgement. Although that derisive judgement is better at getting a reaction from people, which I think was what you ultimately wanted. -
It was the live show, that she was referring to: http://www.thisamericanlife.org/blog/2012/05/live-show-redux Vivian Maier is the photographer's name, a book of her photos were put out: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1576875776/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=earwolf-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1576875776

You guys are correct. So Aaron should for completeness add 'for x less than 0' at the end; which has the potential to either ruin the cadence of the joke or help it due to the added nerdiness.

That was worth the long wait. The 10 day wait at least gives me more incentive to show up live to the VPN event. -

People react differently to someone bringing up criticisms if it's does in an unnecessarily insulting manner. -

CBB, you are too good to me. -
Patton Oswalt has got to be fuming with jealousy that Scott was really able to get into Maron's pain without being interrupted by an abuser of the open door policy.

https://soundcloud.c...ocreation-plugs Whilst playing Parks and Rec on my keyboard, I found this rather tooty sounding synth which I thought would work well for a plugs theme on the rumoured Farts and Procreation 3.

I've never been so unsure of who/what was speaking when David did that Ferris Bueller lady's voice; that blew my mind. Also Aaron, for you i joke, i=sqrt(-1), not sqrt(-x).

Maybe you could discuss the viability/challenges of long form improv on TV with your attempts (UCB/ASSSSCAT pilot) in contrast to short form and games based improv shows like Whose Line which has had quite a bit of success and was just recently announced to be making a return. -

He was not actually mid gulp, that's just his head tilting down to watch a video face.

I don't know why, but I found it really funny how Tig would stare at Aaron during his clip:

Jesus Christ Zach is funny. 15 minutes in and I had to shelve this episode until I wasn't in public. -
Great show. And Sklars, just a tip for the show in Toronto: Although Jay Onrait's name is pronounced "On-right", if you call him Andre you could pass off as a listener of his podcast.
