  1. Multiple people on this forum do not feel safe sharing their opinion on the internet.

Meanwhile, in Professor Blastoffland, some guys states his name, where he works and proceeds to talk into a microphone that will ultimately reach hundreds of thousand of pairs of ears and within 30 seconds is revealing that he's recovering from severe bulimia, alcoholism, a heavily disappointed father and a prolapsed anus.

  2. Please don't die Jeff. Transitioning from a high paced never ending workload down to an average one, or in your case hopefully next to none, is a very odd thing (But a good thing). And at first you'll kind of find it hard to think of what to do with your free time; and at times the things you do will simply feel 'unproductive'. But revel in that slowness, take advantage of the fact that you can just spend time thinking of things your schedule never allows for in the busy times. Moving your head out of it's task oriented mode is liberating. Earwolf will survive. Take the time to make sure you do to.

  3. While I feel that we're due for a trivial topic for a case closed segment, I would never want it to feel forced and so rather I would put forth to Matt that since it is engulfing these boards lately:

A case closed segment on whether there should be a case closed segment on the podcast (Matt vs. someone who takes umbrage with it, like Astartes)

And I would just like to say that while Matt was never sold on the name 'Case Closed', has never felt like a less appropriate name with all of the people on the fence about it.

  4. Ok I get the deal now. This forum is more like an exclusive club where you need to "do your time", mind your p's and q's and ease into the first few years with nothing but compliments. Got it. Geez, I hope Scott and his friends don't read this.

That's also not it. The majority of your comment was "At least it makes for a white-noise hour that will help you fall asleep. I know comedians are competitive but holy shit, what is this?... Doug Loves Movie?" which is simultaneously just insulting CBB and DLM. Think in terms of a roast: people trying to get a laugh by making fun of people they know/love. If you're just meeting an overweight person for the first time, do you really think making a fat joke will make them laugh?

My point is that polite criticism is much more appreciated, and has a better chance of being properly considered, rather than a derisive judgement. Although that derisive judgement is better at getting a reaction from people, which I think was what you ultimately wanted.
