I've never said this before ever, but I'm not looking forward to this episode. This movie isn't fun. It isn't funny to me how much Tyler Perry hates women that don't "know their place" I mean, the entire second half of the movie is predicated on a rape scene where afterward the victim says, "You know what? I totally WAS asking for it! COCAINE PLEASE!!!" The plot does not belong outside a 15 minute "film" from the 80's that they make you watch at church camp to warn you about the dangers of ~SIN~ I dunno... I'm just... nervous.

The Happening - (it's never happening, but talk about it if you want)

Changed the thread title because LOL5EVR -
I related way too much to the painting of the host scene When I was around 10, I had to go to a 1st birthday party at my mom's cousin's house. She's one of those wealthy people that is super tacky about how wealthy she is. So obviously part of this birthday party for a baby included a tour of her ridiculous house. I remember her opening the master bedroom door and instantly knowing my childhood was definitely over. There was a black and white photograph that was at least 10 ft wide of my mom's cousin laying on her side, completely naked and pretty pregnant, with her husband behind her and leaning over in a precarious way to attempt to cover her boobs and vag with his arms. And their two giant dogs were sitting behind him. Even weirder, they had almost the exact same picture downstairs where everyone was wearing clothes. I've only seen my mom's cousin two or three times since then, but it's always the first thing I think of. ::shudder forever::

Well Fervel is lucky everyone else got here before I did and his post gets to stay up. But he's banned now because I have one fucking rule here. Don't be antagonizing or insulting to Earwolf staff or guests. That's literally all I ask. There are so many ways to express your dislike of something that don't include calling people names. I didn't delete his original complaint, but I did delete a post on this thread from someone else that was an angry rant against June for existing. These forums are a nice place, and lots of hosts and guests participate in them. I will not let them turn into a youtube comment section and if that makes me a fascist shitbird then FINE.

Oh I've been doing "IT'S been" and "It's been awhile" whenever the opportunity presents itself I also have been saying "Lisa Bonet, shake your shit around" if she or any cast member of the Cosby show is mentioned for years now... I listen to that Jelloems bit any time I feel sad and I immediately feel better. I just recently got my boyfriend to finally start listening to CBB and he's really latched onto saying "bay-beeee" like Traci Reardon and says "you know what i'm talkin' about!?" in the style of Tom Leykis and it brings me crazy amounts of joy that we can finally share the joy of podcast gags together

I've had that problem before too... I don't know the exact specifications but I usually have to make the picture 150x150 or smaller. Let me know if you still can't make it work, maybe I can try to upload it from the back end

Episode 151 β Joey Capeβs One Week Records
Shannon replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
This episode was really funny and the music was great and I was going to talk about how much I loved the comedy audience scene BUT THEN in the last 40 seconds you drop a crazy bomb on me AAAAHHHHHHHH AFFIRMATION NATION IS COMING BAAAACK!!! I am really really really happy about this. -
That book seems to have too many pages for just saying "Dance to the soundtracks of Saturday Night Fever and Staying Alive every day"

A lovely chartist and Summah-entusiast requested that we have a place to talk about all the joys of Summah even when it's non-Summah. So go summah crazy y'all!

There was a really beautiful moment after everyone agreed that Travolta is crazo hot in this movie where there was just this little pause while everyone was considering the beauty and then Paul is like, "uh, well...good you guys all agree" Cause he used to be so hot. This shot from Grease certainly made an impression on my young self Ugh... why is he a gross melting wax statue person now? I really thought there would be mention of all the bulge though. oh boy do I hope we have our wires crossed on this one... I was talking about Paul's call for everyone to watch the upcoming film "LOL" before it goes off Netflix. To which I still say DO. NOT. DO. IT. But if indeed this is not a misunderstanding... Please explain to me why you purchased "LOL" and why you do not regret this decision?

I've only listened to the intro at this point but I need to say... DON'T LISTEN TO PAUL. DON'T WATCH "LOL" I'm still really really angry that I did.

Episode 1505 - Kulap Vilaysack
Shannon replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Ku said on her Reddit AMA the other day that she still hasn't seen that movie but everyone keeps telling her to watch it. It sounds really really upsetting based on that paragraph you posted though, so maybe that's a mean thing for someone to tell her to do -
Episode 150 β Shoehorn A Shoehorn Story
Shannon replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Oh Benny Shorts... My crush on him has reached giggly school girl proportions and I felt all flustered seeing his face on the Earwolf front page. *sigh* He's just so so funny and he's so nice! Don't make him do confrontation corner!! It goes against his adorably agreeable nature! Just let him sing and do bad British accents all the time. On the Jim Parsons thing, I actually thought his speech was pretty badass. He basically said, "I totally don't deserve this, I wish I was doing cool shit like you guys but I have to say Bazinga and I hate myself. The people giving me this have poor taste in comedy" In a really really eloquent way. I know those guys are bazillionaires but they aren't unaware that their show is lowbrow bullshit and that people they respect really hate their work... that probably kinda sucks. -
ack this super needs to be updated forgive me... on it right now

Episode 308 β Superego: Loose Beginnings, Tight Ends
Shannon replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Thank you thank you @LL Cool Jason Alexander! I tried to start listening to Superego at work today and after spending forever trying to get that old computer to update quicktime, I discovered I couldn't listen to it. I can only wear one earbud at work because I work at a call center and have my headset in the other ear and the show is clearly in stereo (or whatever the correct audio term is if that's wrong omg forgive me) and I can't hear people on the right or in the back at all... sad sad sad. So it will just have to become part of my nightly routine until i'm caught up -

I've never listened to Superego (for shame I know) but I NEED to know if there are other episodes with Trevor. I laughed so hard every single time he spoke. I must have more. -
Episode 92 β The 1st Annual Howdies Pt. 2
Shannon replied to BrettMorris's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I always knew that Jason was gross, but that supercut was almost overwhelming in it's crassness. Wonderful. Just wonderful. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!! This was a real labor of love, and I'm glad everyone loves HDTGM so much. ...on another note, would it be too egomaniacal to change my text tone to, "We thank you, we praise your name"? ...cause that's literally the greatest thing anyone has ever said to me -

Almost positive that was from Cobra... but someone please correct me if i'm wrong -
The brony sketch reminded me of how good the Bob's Burgers "Equestranauts" episode. PFT was so good as the evil Bronconius I also got a crazy amount of satisfaction from the ending of the glider sketch, I knew it was coming and it was even sweeter when it actually happened Announcement: In light of the situation we will not be serving lemonade. Lemonade is no longer available Ben: How am I supposed to feed my tiny horse?! ...god I love a callback

Episode 304 β Marissa Womplerβs Six Flags Birthday Womptacular
Shannon replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I am legitimately sad that Marissa and Gutterballs still can't make it work I'm unreasonably invested in their relationship, and I felt truly joyful that they were together in the beginning... but scalped birthday wish birds with their curses and back from the dead mortal enemies always gotta ruin everything. He doesn't deserve you Marissa. Move on dot org baby girl.- 99 replies
